The purpose of this study is to provide considerations through investigation and analysis about non-computer major learners' difficulties in computational thinking education. In recent, the importance of human resources development in convergence based on computational thinking is increasing internationally and a Korean university is selecting CT as a mandatory subject. I taught CT with Scratch at C university in Seoul for two semesters in 2014 and investigated and analyzed what difficulties non-Computer majors felt in the process of CT education. The result showed they felt the following some difficulties in order: the concept of variable and list; to think a idea and implement it; which commands should be selected. The pleasure and the interest can be apply to decrease difficulty, because they affect self-programming ability and self-CT capability each other statistically. Although Scratch is an easy and an intuitive programming language, it is needed to consider to provide appropriate learning time to student for using and applying commands.

As the SW-centered society has emerged, SW-based problem-solving capabilities is emphasized in all areas of society. It is a trend that universities are obliged to do SW basic education for non-majors students and they are carrying out programming education. This study derives grammatical elements based on conciseness, generality, and efficiency among the design principles of programming language and based on it, compares and analyzes visual programming language and diagramming language. As a result, the efficiency of Raptor is more powerful than Scratch in the simplicity and generality, and the same tendency can be confirmed in the result of the learner's obtained in programming lesson. We hope that this study will contribute to the design and implementation of programming education based on features of programming language.

The purpose of this study is preparing for the expansion of water leisure sports in accordance with the marina port building project, enforcement of Reservoir Development Special Act and the revision of Water Leisure Sports Safety Act by government. For the purpose, this study investigated the status of physical education class as a cultural study in universities, collected/analyzed the related literatures to analyze the role of physical education class and analyzed the curriculum of university physical education as a cultural study being taught at 17 national and public universities in nationwide 12 areas. The university physical education as a cultural study should be given as a preparation for future water leisure sports age so that it can achieve its inherent purpose of fostering sports demonstrating ability as a lifetime sports. By doing such, people will have better life while enjoying water leisure sports.

The purpose of the study is to explore a plan for effective education using virtual reality in English education. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the perception of English education using virtual reality was comprehensively investigated and analyzed for teachers(n=20) in the field of English education. The results of the study reveal the followings: 1) Teachers are positively aware of the necessity of English education using virtual reality, but most teachers complained of a psychological burden on education using virtual reality; 2) negative responses were somewhat higher than positive responses to the expectation that virtual reality-based English content would be practical in the educational field; 3) In order to increase the effectiveness of English education using virtual reality, it is necessary to share experiences for educational experience of virtual reality and need to provide various virtual reality contents; and 4) For virtual reality educational application, there is a high demand for teaching and learning method education and training using virtual reality and provision of guidelines for education using virtual reality.

On the other hand, there are high concerns that the SW gap will widen and polarize as domestic reality does not provide systematic and continuous SW education to learners. Against this background, this study started to investigate the influence of learners' SW experience on SW education. As a result of the study targeting science and engineering students, the effect of SW experience on SW education was significant. With theses results, it is expected that various discussions will be actively conducted so that systematic and continuous SW education can be provided in elementary and secondary schools.

Although the comprehensive school report system which was renamed from the admission officer system has been stably implemented in Korea, the fairness of the college admission system concerning the evaluation on the extra-curricular domain has still been a controversial issue. Thus, it has been the main topic in the educational policy to consider the desirable college admission system and investigate the problems of current changes in the admission system. On the other hand, the college admission system has not been the problem for students and people concerned in Canada. The completion of higher education is more important than the admission itself in Canada due to the standardization of higher education institutions such as universities in quality. In this regard, this study aims to examine the education and college admission system in Canada in general focusing on the cases of the province of Quebec.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate how well the 2020 vision presented by the Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea(ABEEK) had been achieved, and to objectively examine the social status. It was very necessary for the development of engineering education in Korea to provide room for improvement by diagnosing how well the ABEEK, one of the major engineering education communities, was achieving its own vision. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, research methods such as literature review, survey research, and expert advisory committee were used. To evaluate the level of achievement of the Vision 2020 of the ABEEK, the analysis was based on the response results of 61 people who had experience as a member of the steering committe. In addition, the vision and mission of the 23 countries that are currently signatory members of the Washington Accord were surveyed, and the social responsibility and financial independence of the 20 countries that joined the signatory member countries before 2020 were compared with each other. As a result of the analysis, the item of securing international equivalence in engineering education received the most positive evaluation, and the social compensation efforts for accreditied graduates received the least evaluation. The ABEEK was evaluated as having a medium level of social responsibility and a low level of financial independence. Based on the results of this research, we proposed ways the ABEEK to contribute to the improvement of Korean engineering education.

This study attempts to examine the impact of a documentary film, on the perception and satisfaction with the public health insurance system in South Korea. It is needed that public support to expand health insurance coverage and to intensify national health insurance. The documentary film investigates health care in the United States, comparing with the non-profit universal health care systems of Canada, the United Kingdom, France and Cuba. So an online education content for the general education was developed using this film and the surveys were carried out to gather information about perception, satisfaction and opinion on national health insurance system before the lesson and after. And pared t tests were conducted to analyze the effects of this education content using the film on perception and attitudes towards national health insurance system. Based on the empirical results, the way to develop education contents for improving the understanding public health system and to verify the effect of education contents were discussed.

The purpose of this study is to develop liberal arts subjects for humanity education in Christian universities. Christian universities need to attempt Christian humanity education through Christian educational interpretation of humanity. This study defines the humanity not character or personality but rather humanity. Humanity is starting from an understanding of human conditions. And it is a perspective toward oneself and others based on human ontological questions and life style. Human is a being with developmental crises and are marginal being with existential anxiety. Therefore, humanity education of Christian universities should be a place to face the void of finite humans in order to understand what kind of existence they are and to transform their epistemology to understand self and the world. Christian humanity education will be realized by two approaches. The first is a theoria approach that extends from a two-dimensional understanding of the self and experienced reality to the speculative and introspective pursuit of the ultimate truth, The second is a praxis approach that consist of the interaction of reflection to human's act and reflective behavior. Therefore, this study develops a subject focused on a speculative and reflective understanding of humanity as an case of a liberal arts subject for humanity education in a Christian university, and a subject focusing on the understanding of reflexively participating in the actual social situation, which is the context of humanity.
