  • This study aimed at developing a convergence education program about skin care and social welfare with the purpose of operating liberal arts courses to foster the creativity and character building of university students and the development findings are as follows. The name of the developed course is "beauty treatment welfare and community service" and details were developed for the course overview, goals of the course, textbooks, course management, assignments, and assessment. The lesson goals of this course are character building by fostering creative and outstanding individuals demanded by the society and equipped with the basic knowledge of majors like skin care and social welfare as well as the capability to share and consider through service learning related education for the increase in convergence critical thinking skills and the convergence of skin care and social welfare. The details of the course comprised of introduction about the course, understanding the concept of convergence, understanding the concepts of skin care and social welfare, convergent thinking education and practicum, and education about service learning performance sharing meeting. The service learning is targeted on the socially disadvantaged, such as children and elders, and students can engage in service twice a week with 3 hours for each service session. The assessment is evaluated with midterm (30%), final exam (30%), report (20%), and attendance (20%). This study stresses importance on the development of a convergence education program for skin care and social welfare, which are still undeveloped while convergence education is expanding in university, and with this research as the start, it is anticipated for various approaches to be actively implemented about convergence education in the field of beauty treatment.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of learners' academic achievement and learner interaction through project - based learning. In the case of interaction, we focused on the field of learning, that is, the learner's communication style in various technical environments. The subjects of this study were 80 learners who took a 3-hour elective English language learning course at a university in Korea. This study is to investigate the effect of learner interaction through KakaoTalk and LMS (Learning Management System). As a result of the study, it was found that there was a significant difference between learner interaction by project - based learning and communication type and kakao talk utilization group and LMS (Learning Management System) group. 1) The results of the kakao talk utilization group were significant in both the learner interaction and the learner's academic achievement according to the project - based learning and communication type. For current digital native learners, Kakao Talk is the result of the fact that it is the optimal environment for problem solving, communication, and uploading and sharing of educational activities.

  • Sookmyung Women's University Library developed a Cyber Learning Program for Information Literacy Education in the Fall semester of 2004. The program was enforced as a pass/fail prerequisite of the "Reading & Writing", a compulsory course for the first-year students. The paper describes why and how the university reached to the decision to initiate such a program. It identifies the factors which contributed to the early success of the program by analyzing the contents development process and the actual course management process. Suggestions for further developments is made by analyzing the technical and procedural difficulties faced using the Learning Management System(LMS).

  • The purpose of this study is to develop creativity-based creative convergence subjects for nursing students. For the purpose of this study, the procedures are conducted that the needs analysis, setting educational goals, segmentation of educational goals, selection of educational contents and organization by F. Bobbitt's curriculum development model and the creative convergence subject was developed through the verification process of the validity of experts. Through a theoretical review, the contents of education in creative convergence subjects consisted of converging with other areas, focusing on creativity. It was presented as a liberal arts subject with two credits, and as an educational method, an online class utilizing blended learning and offline classes centered on activities by teams were presented. In addition, the curriculum was divided into understanding, application, synthesis, and deepening so that students could understand the concept of creative convergence thinking and apply it through thinking techniques and strategies, and finally improve their creative convergence thinking abilities through team projects.

  • Recently, each university has been lecturing a lot on the liberal arts subject by emphasizing software education. However, students are often motivated by the difficulty of learning programming, the inability to recognize why they should learn programming, or even the fact that they do not try. The reason for the resilience is to guide programming learning to have the power to recover from the point of abandonment to proceed with the learning again. In this study, recovery elasticity pre-post-examination was conducted on the parts that learned scratches and those that learned Python. Studies have shown that while Scratch appears to be trying to accept and work harder, Python has been relatively more difficult than Scratch. It is expected that this study will help identify the factors that can sustain programming learning.

  • Most universities operate a mileage scheme that grants scholarships by converting students' extra-curricular activities into scores to encourage extra-curricular activities. This study seeks to understand the student experience of this mileage scheme, which universities are strategically providing to their students. For the purpose of the study, 16 students from universities where the mileage scheme is established were selected for in-depth interviews and the interview data was analyzed through consensual qualitative research methods. To secure the validity of research results, feedback was received from a reviewer regarding the appropriacy of areas and categories derived from the study. Ultimately, 3 areas of 'motivation behind participating in the mileage scheme', 'experience in the process of participating in the mileage scheme', 'impact of the experience after participating in the mileage scheme', and 18 categories were derived. This study is meaningful in that it focuses on the student experience of the university mileage scheme to present a review of the current university mileage scheme and suggest various implications for universities to consider when approaching the mileage scheme in the future.

  • In this study, the educational effect were sought to be identified after developing and applying project learning for the artificial intelligence based liberal arts education for the non-computer majors. A paired-sample t-test was performed within each group to determine the extent of improvement in the learning flow and artificial intelligence efficacy in the experimental and control groups. After class, an independent sample t-test was performed to examine the statistical effects of pre-test and post-test on the learning flow and artificial intelligence efficacy in the experimental and control groups. The experimental group and control group demonstrated significant improvements in the learning flow and artificial intelligence efficacy before and after class, each respectively. There was no statistically significant difference in the learning flow between the experimental group for which the project learning method was applied and the control group for which only theory and practice were conducted in the artificial intelligence class. It was also confirmed that the experimental group for which the project learning method was applied improved the efficacy of artificial intelligence to a significant level compared to the control group which only proceeded with theory and practice.

  • With the rapid decline of the school-age population, the competition for admissions has increased and marketing through digital channels has become more important, so universities are investing more resources in online promotion and communication to recruit new students. This study uses Google Analytics, a web log analysis tool, to track the visitor behavior of a university admissions website and establish a digital marketing strategy based on it. The analysis period was set from July 1, 2023, when Google Analytics 4(GA4) was integrated, to January 10, 2024, when the college admissions process was completed. The analysis revealed interesting patterns such as geographical information based on visitors' access location, devices(operating systems) and browsers used by visitors, acquisition channels through visitors traffic, conversions on pages and screens that visitors engaged with and visitor flow. Based on this study, we expect universities to find ways to strengthen their admission promotion through digital marketing and effectively communicate with applicants to gain a competitive edge.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of using open-source statistical software Jamovi as an alternative approach to securing reproducibility. To this end, a descriptive survey was conducted on researchers in various academic fields to investigate the causes of the reproducibility problem and its solutions, and whether the use of Jamovi could contribute to solving the statistical reproducibility problem was empirically analyzed. The function of integrating Jamovi's data and analysis results into a single file played an important role in ensuring transparency in analysis. In addition, the possibility of enhancing statistical reproducibility was confirmed by using Jamovi's Rj Editor module to convert all procedures in the analysis process into R codes while performing advanced statistical analysis. This study emphasizes that Jamovi can act as a practical tool for solving research reproducibility problems, and through this, it is expected to contribute to strengthening the reliability of academic research.
