Commercial production line of FCEV was built in 2013 by Hyundai and followed by Toyota in 2014, with additional manufacturers planning to enter the market around 2017. Now there is limited hydrogen infrastructure over the world, but more hydrogen stations are planned, particularly in Japan, Korea, Germany, UK and USA. ISO TC 197 which was created in 1990 focused standardization in the field of systems and devices for the production, storage, transport, measurement and use of hydrogen. Total number of published ISO standards related to the TC and its SCs (number includes updates) is 17. Now there are 20 participating countries and 13 observing countries. The current status of activity of ISO TC197 was reviewed and particularly issues on hydrogen quality and hydrogen refueling station were discussed.

Japan is leading standards for the hydrogen fuel quality on the PEMFC(Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell) vehicle at ISO/TC197/WG12. However, it has many problems to solve the standard of measurement and the test method. because the standard of measurement which was proposed in Japan is too high to reach the technique for many countries. it might not control standards for the hydrogen fuel quality on the PEMFC vehicle in Korea. So we need to develop the study of standards and the technique of measurement continuously for the International Standards Meeting.

가구 분야에서는 인간공학적 원리를 가구 설계에 적용하려는 노력들이 계속되고 있으며, ISO TC159 에 맞추어 각국의 규격들도 변경하고 있다. 우리나라의 KS 규격은 1960년대 후반부터 제정되어 몇 차례 개정되어 사용되고 있다. 그러나 KS 규격은 '국민 인체 크기의 변화'와 '시장과 소비자 요구의 변화'를 제대로 반영하지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 여러 국제규격의 비교 분석을 통하여, 국민 인체 크기의 변화를 쉽게 반영할 수 있는 KS 가구 규격체계를 제시하고자 하였다.
