The assurance of software product. which Is different to other products. is very complex because of Its characteristics. The use of objective development standards or guidelines and the confirmation to meet user's requirements are Important to achieve the software quality system. Moreover correct understanding of qualitv standards and continuous applications of check-points for qualify audit are necessary. ISO 9000 series. which are International standards. were made for the qualify assurance. Among them. ISO 9000-3 is the quality management and quality assurance standards for applying ISO 9001 to the design. development. supply. installation and maintenance of software. The newly revised ISO/CD 9000-3：1995 contains a lot of enforced changes within ISO 9001 framework - quality standards for manufactured products. This paper analyses the revised ISO 9000-3 by comparing it to ISO 9001. and derives quality audit points to use for qualify audit In future.

Most organizations adopt a process-based approach to manage their operations and now business process management(BPM) is a well-established concept. Because ISO 9001:2000 emphasizes process based, Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information has taken ISO 9001:2000 certificate in November 11, 2003 and now implements quality management systems based on BPMS further applies Hypertext. We call it Online KQMS (KISTI Quality Management System). And Online KQMS is implemented under a platform independent framework based on the web environment. Online KQMS based on BPMS and Hypertext is a new example in field of ISO quality management and is expected to support process management well.

International Organization for Standardization has recently published ISO 9001:2008 which is the basic requirements for a quality management system that an organization must fulfil to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products that enhance customer satisfaction and meet applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Not many empirical researches based on ISO 9001:2008 have been done up until now. In this article we outline transitional features for ISO 9000 quality management system (QMS) since its first publication in 1987. In order to effectively maintain ISO 9001:2008 QMS certification and continuously enhance quality management activities, we perform statistical analysis for the minor nonconformity data generated from follow-up audits for subcontractors of shipbuilding industry based on ISO 9001:2008 requirements. A Kruskal-Wallis test is used to show relationships between the minor nonconformity data and three classification criteria: the type of business, the size of business, and the number of follow-up audits.
