  • ISO/FDIS 11342: 1998(E)에서, "회전체 밸런싱의 목표는, 기계 설치후 만족스런 운전(satisfactor running)을 이루는 것이다. '만족스러운 운전'이란, 회전체에 잔류하는 불평형 질량에 기인한 진동이 진동허용치(acceptable magnitude of vibration)를 넘지 않는 것을 의미한다"고 밸런싱을 설명한다. ISO/TC108(Mechanical vibration and Shock)의 Subcommittees 중 SC1은 'balancing, including balancing machines'라는 소그룹명을 갖고 있다. 이 SC에서는 회전체 밸런싱에 관련한 ISO의 제정과 개정의 일을 한다. 1998년 현재 위 위원회를 통하여 새롭게 개정된 ISO/FDIS 11342:1998(E)과 현재 개정 마무리 단계에 있는 ISO/DIS 2953을 간략히 소개한다.

  • ISO TC 108/SC 2 산하에 이미 제정된 24 개의 관련 규격이 있으며, 그 중에 현재 4 개의 규격이 개정 심의 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 FDIS(Final Draft International Standard) 개정 단계에 있는 육상용 증기 터빈 발전기 세트의 회전축 진동 및 비회전부 진동에 관련한 두 규격(ISO 7919-2:1996, ISO 10816-2:1996) 과 2000년 12월 15일자로 개정 완료된 선박 거주구역 및 작업구역의 진동에 관한 규격(ISO 6954:2000)을 개정 전 규격과 비교 설명 하고자 한다.   • This first ISO/CD 7475 is a proposed revision of ISO 7475-1984, which specifies requirements for enclosures and other safety measures used to minimize mechanical hazards produced by the rotor in the measuring station of centrifugal (rotational) balancing machines. The hazards are associated with the operation of balancing machines under a variety of rotor and balancing conditions. This standard defines different classes of protection that enclosures and other protective features have to provide and describes the limits of applicability for each class of protection. At the meeting held at AFNOR in Paris in June 1999, ISO/TC 108/SC1/WG 12 agreed to prepare a first ISO Committee Draft (CD) and circulate to the member bodies for vote and comment by 3 March 2000 since publication as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75% of the member bodies casting a vote. The results of the ballot on this first ISO/CD 7475 was positive so that it will be prepared as an ISO/DIS (ISO/DIS 7475) and discussed in a meeting of ISO/TC 108/SC1 at BSI, London, u.K. in March 2000. Contents of this ISO/CD 7475 with some member comments accounted is briefly described in what follows.
