In the realization of interface between subscriber and network, D-channel may deteriorate the performance of switching system in handling subscriber. Thus, D-channel must be designd in a way to interface efficiently with the system while maintaining exciting performance. This objective can be obtained by through consideration of the structure of the system. This paper shows the method to design D-channel, which has significant relation with the structure of the system whenrealizing the interface between subscriber and network, in adding ISDN function. The goal of performance is also proposed.

This paper describes the method for designing loudness ratings as transmission quality for ISDN telephone connected to fully digital network. To design the desirable loudness ratings for ISDN telephone, the model system of digital speech communication for subjective test is developed and opinion tests for establishing the optimal CODEC input level, the range of overall loudness rating, and sidetone masking rating are performed. As the results, the desirable ranges of loudness ratings are proposed as 6 to 8dB for sending, 0 to 2dB for receiving, and 10 to 14dB for sidetone masking rating.

최근 하드웨어와 컴퓨터 기술의 발전으로 인하여 전기통신망에서의 전송/교환 및 서비스 능력은 급속도로 증가하고 있다. 이러한 변화는 전송 및 교환기술에서 분명하게 나타나고 있다. 이러한 정보전달능력의 증가와 더불어 늘어나는 고객의 요구, 그리고 가속화되는 통신시장의 경쟁 등의 환경변화는 다양한 형태의 서비스를 단기간에 생성, 제공할 수 있으며 필요한 경우 최소한의 노력으로 기능의 추가 및 변경이 가능한 형태의 망관리 시스팀을 필요로 하게 되었다.이 경우 망관리 시스팀은 망 자원 관리기능 및 망 서비스 기능을 통합적으로 지원하는 형태를 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 위의 특성을 지닌 B-ISDN 통합 망관리 시스팀의 구조 및 기능에 관하여 기술한다. 먼저 목표 통합 망관리 시스팀의 구조를 명시하고 목표 시스팀으로의 진화를 지원하는 초기 단계 B-ISDN 관리 시스팀의 기능적 능력과 구조를 기술한다. 또한 이러한 구조에 근거한 ATM-Highway I의 구조를 설명한다. ATM-Highway I의 구조와 기능은 제안된 초기 망관리 시스팀구조에 근거하고 있으며, 목표 통합망관리 시스팀으로의 진화가 쉽게 이루어지도록 설계되어 있다.

컴퓨터와 통신 기술의 결합으로 기존의 공중전기통신망(PSIN) 과 비음성 서비스를 동시에 제공해 줄 수 있는 종합정보통신망(ISDN)으로 진화되고 있다. CCITT에서는 ISDN의 기본신호방식으로 No.7 신호방식을 권고하고 있으며, 국내에서도 이미 2000년대 통신망의 기본 신호방식으로 No.7 신호방식을 채택하기로 확정하였다. No.7 신호방식에 따른 공통선 신호망이 구성되면 기존의 통신망은 ISDN으로의 진화가 가능하게 되고, 다양하고 부가가치가 높은 새로운 서비스를 제공함으로써 지능망으로 확장이 가능하게 된다. 또한 공통선 신호망의 구성은 각종 뉴미디어의 출현으로 구성되는 부가가치 통신망간의 정보 교환을 가능하게 한다. 본고에서는 공통선신호망 구성계획을 보다 효과적으로 수립할 수 있도록 지원하기 위하여 KAIST와 ETRI에서 공통으로 개발된 신호망 설계지원시스템(SINEPS)을 소개한다.

Satellite communication in the 21 century's high tech information world is developing rapidly, marked by high levels of applications and functions. For example, satellite communication can process and switch the speed of the service provided by a broad and vast digital multimedia system such as a long-distance all between nations or broadcasting transfer service, which is supplied by a contemporary satellite system. So, it bring about problems which lack of satellite orbit and gibes out frequency resource by increment of satellite universally. To support this, an OBP satellite system is need, which includes an on-board IF/RF switch, baseband signal processing, multi-beam antenna technology, as well as a simple transponder system. In this paper, we have outlined the next generation of satellite communication; satellite OBP transport network architecture, which offers multimedia service and applied frequency reuse method for multi-spot beam. The satellite B-ISDN transport network architecture is also analyzed.

최근까지 데이터망에 음섬을 올려 전송하는 연구가 비약적으로 진행되면서 SIP를 지원하는 제품들이 응용되어 상용화 되고 있다. 사설망을 가지는 PBX도 시장 요구에 따라 점차 음성 회선 연결을 위해 SIP 기능을 적용하여 IP PBX의 모습으로 진화하고 있다. 그러나 IP PBX는 외부 SIP망에만 연결하기 보다는, ISDN/PSTN과 같은 기존의 공용망과 함께 연결하여 내부 사설망과 외부 공용망을 연결한다. 이 경우 상이한 외부 프로토콜을 융합하여 내부망과 연결하는 기능이 IP PBX에 포함 되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 이 역할을 담당하는 내부 모듈을 컴포넌트로 추출하고, 상이한 프로토콜의 기능을 통합하여 수행할 수 있도록 인터페이스를 정의하여 성능 향상을 위한 방법론을 제안한다.

This study was carried out to investigate TF(Technological Forecasting) of ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) by Delphi method. Since the technology of science has been developed rapidly, the necessity of TF, which can predict the future direction and intensities of technological progress, has been gradually recognized in various fields. Therefore the purpose of this study was to explore the normative statistical data so that our business or nation may have better decision-making with the TF of ISDN which will be come into in the 21st century, presenting the appropriate methodology to the application of methods.

The various services that a broadband integrated services digital network (B-ISDN) carries, have a wide range of delay, delay jitter and cell loss probability requirements. Design of appropriate control schemes for B-ISDN is an extremely important and challenging problem. In this paper, we proposes a priority control scheme with a delay counter and a cell counter per each class type. The priority control for required service quality is performed with delay/loss factor obstained by comparing window counter with cell counter. The performance of proposed control scheme is estimated by computer simulation.
