  • The purpose of this study is to offer proposals of the practical color schemes based on the use of color systems. This study focused on the .\lunsell color system, the Ostwald color system and the ISCC ~BS color names i and then selected the Ostwald color harmony and the Judd color hallTIOny in order to establish the general principles of color schemes. The method of color schemes is worked by' the 10 i hues circle of the .\Iunsell color system and the tone system of the ISCC :\BS color names, because our i country have been adopted the "vIunsell color system for the use of color education and the KS.   • Fashion business must reflect the seasonable fashion trend because fashion has change always, and therefore fashion business has a big risk at the attribute. Careful consideration should be given to the selection of a particular color code to meet the purpose of marketing research in various color products. It must be designed to grasp systematically and comprehensively the current trend of colors. The most suitable color code for meeting this proposition would be one based on the designation by color ranges. The ISCC-NBS method of designating colors, published in 1955, was established by dividing the color solid into 267 color name blocks. The detailed classification like the ISCC-NBS system is very appropriate to serve the purpose of giving all color names according to color ranges. But it is somewhat too complicated to answer the purpose of surveying the trend of colors and of comparing and evaluating the ups and downs in the popularity of the range of each individual color. I have worked out the most convenient method of designating colors in accordance with the type of investigation needed. It is the classification which involves four classification system in itself, fundamental, gross, medium, and minute. The fundamental classification system classifies hues and neutrals into 16ranges. The gross classification system divides the above 16 ranges into 30. The medium classification divides the above 30 ranges into 103 in terms of tones. The minute classification divides the above 103 ranges into 207 in terms of specipic hues.

A Study on Stabilized CdS-CdSe Red Stain part III, Application of $ZrSiO_4-Cd(SxSe_{1-x})$ Stain to Ceramic Body (안정화 CdS-CdSe계 채료에 관한 연구 제3보 $ZrSiO_4-Cd(SxSe_{1-x})$채료의 응용연구)

  • The investigation includes the application of $ZrSiO_4-Cd(SxSe_{1-x})$stain to ceramic body. The currently developed stain was compared to the commercially available stain in applying to ceremic glaze. Two stains (currently developed and commecially available) were mixed with frits and applied to ceramic tiles. The tiles were fired at 850 to 120$0^{\circ}C$ and tested by colorimeter in X.Y.Z. axis of the wavelength ranging from 580nm to 650nm. Applicability 18 stains to ceramic body was investigated by ISCC-NBS of Munsell color nomenclature. $ZrSiO_4-Cd(SxSe_{1-x})$stain is as good as V and Pr series stain in mixing composition of frits 9 to 1. It maintains red color at 100$0^{\circ}C$ in the mixture of frits, and shows as the strong acid resistance stain.

  • Choice and use of color are very important field for designer. Present color sprang by central field of design business unlike past. Color is used mainly by three fields of sensitivity, administration, mind. But, do substantial design including all of three fields at use. Practical research field that is based on basic research when see as actuality of domestic color design is been behind real condition. Specially, color sensitivity field and color management field are very important field, it can speak that color name arid related area are most important among two. Because collar name includes sensitivity and color management. This research constructs correct data because investigate and analyze and search all compatible color names that is announced in existing or is recorded in public cosmopolitanly. As a result, it is to promise accuracy when produce creation of idea and result of design using color name. Examined laying stress on color that domestic data that is used in research is basis with Korean industrial Standard, connection literature, on-the-spot probe. International data investigated American ISCC-NBS to base. Other abroad color name data examined official data of each country all systematically with Japan, Europe. Findings about 11,000 basis color names and 33,000 application color names sorted collection. Collection method and classification system follow in international standard and arranged for user's tile convenience. Also, use frequency did laying stress on Munsell that is high color system so that can aid in industrial design business. Improved to write all international standard color values sue as RGB, CMYK, XYZ and can be applied all in each field of design. Is applying and get along with continuation improvement and development in homepage of present KIDP, it may become more worth research.

  • 본 연구에서는 특정 대상에 대한 사람들의 심리적인 색채반응을 측정할 수 있는 색채감성척도(PCS)를 개발하고 이것을 색채 감성 이미지의 평가에 어떻게 이용하는가를 보여주고자 한다. 색채심리에 기초한 색채감성척도(PCS)는 NCS와 ISCC-NBS 색명법에 의거한 색상과 톤의 개념으로 구성되었으며 기본형과 상세형의 두 가지가 개발 되었다. 표준화된 색채감성척도는 각 사람들마다 다르게 나타나는 색에 관한 이미지나 색에 대한 심리적인 선호반응을 객관적으로 측정할 수 있는 척도로 활용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 선호색, 선호의상색, 선호 화장품 색을 나타내는데 PCS가 어떻게 활용되는가를 보여주었다. PCS를 이용한 색채 감성 이미지는 Color Image Palette를 이용하여 각각의 특성을 비교할 수 있도록 제시되기도 하였다. 색채 경험에 대한 광학적이거나 물리적인 속성이 아닌 심리적인 특성을 평가하고 서로 다른 집단의 반응을 비교 평가하는데 PCS와 유용한 도구가 될 것이다.

The Characteristics of the Color tones on Korean Traditional Color Blue and Red (한국전통색 청$\cdot$홍의 색조 특성)

  • The Korean traditional color passed down over countless generations has surpassed both surpassed both time and space and continue today to breathe life into its people's everyday. In order to clarify the characteristics of Korean traditional color blue and red, we investigate the names of them and measured the color tones of textile remains in Chosun era. The characteristics of Korean traditional color blue and red have been surveyed by means of the examination of color names in many famous literatures in Chosun era. Korean terms for color tones were characterized by enormous variety of epithes crowned on them. The color names mentioned contain many unaccountable epithes which were characterized also deep colors and light colors were dominant in it. As a means of enhancing possibilities within limited colors, the commoners increased the names for varying tones of blue color group(32kinds) and red color group(40kinds). These "blue(indigo dyeing)' and 'red(safflower dyeing)' in Chosun era were shown very high frequency in use and the costume colors in Royal Court. With combination of these various blue and red colors they represented a thought of color based on Yinyang Theory and created a polished aesthetic taste. The color samples of textile remains in museum were measured and designated by Munsell color system and the ISCC-NBS color designation system. THe appeared rates were derived on Chosun era and features of colors using on the period were discussed. We aim to present specific recipes in indigo dyeing and safflower dyeing for using our apparel product and folk art.

An Compatative Analysis on the Color Trend of Women's Street Fashion in Seoul and Dalian on 2010/11 F/W (2010/11년 F/W 겨울 서울시와 다롄시의 스트리트 패션에 나타난 여성 의복색 비교 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic information to improve competitiveness of Korean fashion brands in the Chinese fashion market by taking photos of street styles in Seoul that is the hub of Korean fashion and in Dalian, the northeastern district where Korean fashion brands are launched as a test market China to compare and analyze the clothing colors preferred mostly by young women in their twenties and thirties who have the highest purchasing power. The study methods used literature review and empirical study simultaneously. Dalian and Seoul are two fashion cities in northeast of China and Korea where street fashion was photographed. Clothing colors that were mainly worn by young women in their twenties and thirties were qualitatively analyzed using the photos taken. Color analysis was based on the Munsell Color Order System to grasp general preferences of colors on the basis of previous researches, and color tones were based on the ISCC-NBS System. In order to grasp the basic materials on Seoul, the Korean fashion city and Dalian, the northeastern fashion city in China, street fashion styles of 2010/11 F/W season were compared and analyzed. As a result, black and deep tone PB color appeared most frequently. The vivid and strong tone of R, YR, Y color showed high frequency of clothing colors. For the top wear, women in both areas preferred similar tones in the YR color category and Dalian women preferred vivider and brighter S tones in the R color category. For the bottom wear, women in both areas highly preferred achromatic colors and colors in the PB color category. For bags, women in both areas preferred black and colors in the YR color category. Finally, for the shoes, while women in both areas preferred black in the achromatic color category, they showed different color preferences in the chromatic color category. R color categories were preferred by the women in Seoul and the YR color categories were preferred by the women in Dalian. Conclusively, women in both cities highly preferred achromatic colors especially black for the top and bottom wear, bags, and shoes. It may reflect their desire to look refined and slender through colors. Moreover, continuous and steady research on fashion trends in Seoul and Dalian may have positive effects on Korean fashion businesses that plan to be launched in China, the area of competition for global brands.
