This paper presents a modified QIM-JPEG2000 steganography which improves the previous JPEG2000 steganography using quantization index modulation (QIM). Post-embedding changes in file size and PSNR by the modified QIM-JPEG2000 are smaller than those by the previous QIM-JPEG2000. Steganalysis experiments to determine whether messages are embedded in given JPEG2000 images show that the modified QIM-JPEG2000 is more secure than the previous QIMJPEG2000.

In this paper, design of current and speed controller for DC motor drive system using Embedded Target for TI C2000DSP in Matlab/Simulink is introduced. Current and speed controller is designed and implemented using program simply and easily, and speed control response of DC motor can be advanced. Current and speed control of DC motor is carried in eZdsp F2812 control board using Embeded Target for TI C2000DSP in Matlab/Simulink. Speed feedback is processed through A/D converter using tacho generator as speed sensor, and current feedback is processed through A/D converter using hall sensor as current sensor. Controller is designed to PI current controller and PI speed controller. Current and speed response is verified through simulations and experiments.

In IMT-2000 systems, the outer loop dynamically adjusts the target SIR so that adequate performance in terms of the frame error rate(FER) and the true quality measure is achieved. This paper utilizes an analytic model lot outer loop power control(OLPC) adjusting the target SIR in IMT-2000. The analytic model is based on the discrete-time Markov chain as voice traffic SIR. It is described that the model can be used to find the optimum step size in voice traffic for fast fading environments. The optimum step size influences the performance of OLPC： As the step size decreases, the average target SIR increases and average FER decreases.

The purpose of this study is to help understanding of abstract patterns and to play a guideline's role in the development of designs and the prediction of trends for present and future fashion designers and textile designers. The summary of this study's results is like followings. Formative characteristics of abstract pattern in 2000's fashion are Impromptu, Anti-mechanism, Superimposing, Disorder. First, Impromptu is rebounce against uniformity, mechanism, man-created beauty Second, Anti-mechanism represents unfinishing, unbalance, inaccuracy and relates with each traditional of nation or ethnic group. Third, Presupposing transparency Superimposing offsets each patterns. So Their images are ambiguity, ununiformity, unequality, incompletion, uncertainty and so on. Fourth, Disorder breaks and ignores physical balance, rule, order and so on. These images represent uncertainty, freedom, naturality. From this result, I can interpret that these images are representing of humanism reacting about uniformity, mechanism, man-created beauty, completeness of modernism since the Industrial Revolution.

This paper empirically determines the extent to which ISO 9001 certified small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) were able to attain the eight quality management principles on which the ISO 9004:2000 Standard is based. It employs the Analytic Hierarchy Process approach in determining the percent weightings of these principles and the self-assessment questions which form part of the ISO 9004:2000 Standards. Of particular interest is a weakness of these enterprises in formulating policies addressing the needs and expectations of shareholders and the society in terms of the community and the public affected by the organisations or its products. This paper makes a contribution to the body of knowledge in the field of quality management in Trinidad and Tobago where such work is limited. It adds value by empirically measuring TQM implementation through determining the extent to which its criteria are implemented in ISO 9001 certified SMEs.

Large-area high-temperature superconducting (HTS) films, filter design and damage-free processing technique have been developed to fabricate low insertion loss and sharp skirt filters. Further, long life cryocooler, low temperature low noise amplifier (LNA) and cryocable have been developed to assemble HTS filter subsystem for IS-95 and IMT-2000 mobile telecommunication. The surface resistance of the films was about 0.2 milli-ohm at 70 K, 12 GHz. An 11-pole HTS filter for IS-95 telecommunication system and a 16-pole HTS filter for IMT-2000 telecommunication system were designed and fabricated using 60 {\times}$ 50 mm$^2$ and one half of 3-inch diameter YBCO films on a 0.5-mm-thick MgO substrate, respectively. We have assembled the filter and low temperature LNA in a dewar with the cryocooler. Ultra low-noise (noise figure: 0.5 dB at 70 K) and ultra sharp-skirt (40 dB/1.5 MHz) performance was presented by the IS-95 filter subsystem and the IMT-2000 filter subsystem, respectively.

As the number of sensors in a ship has increased, studies have been actively conducted to efficiently manage a large amount of data. Sensors in a ship follow the NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association) data format. In particular, NMEA0183 standardized as IEC 61162-1 and NMEA2000 standardized as IEC 61162-3 are widely used. NMEA0183 is a protocol based on serial communication and NMEA2000 is a protocol based on CAN (Controller Area Network) communication. We implemented a gateway that receives data from NMEA0183 sensors and NMEA2000 sensors and then transmits them to the server on TCP/IP network. By using the NMEA2000 0183/2000 gateway to receive the sensor data and manage it through the ship's preventive maintenance system, the sensor data can be utilized efficiently and promptly. This management can reduce crew's daily tasks and reduce the number of accidents.

JPEG2000 시스템에서 요구하는 메모리의 크기와 대역폭을 감소시키기 위하여 본 논문은 약간의 화질 손실이 있는 새로운 임베디드 압축(Embedded Compression) 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한, 메모리 내의 압축된 데이터에 임의 접근성(Random Accessibility)과 짧은 지연 시간(Latency)을 보장하기 위해서 매우 단순하면서도 효율적인 하다마드(Hadamard) 변환 기반의 부호화 방식을 제안한다. JPEG2000 표준안의 알고리즘에 변경을 주지 않고, 제안한 EC 알고리즘을 통해 LL 임시 메모리의 크기와 코드블록 메모리의 크기를 약 2 배로 줄이며, 약 52~73%의 메모리 대역폭을 감소시킬 수 있다.

The Korea urbanization has been accelerated without regard to regional traits and the environment. Most of rural areas have been overurbanized with proper and long term plan. Especially the case of Yongin-community which is located 50km south of Seoul reveals a typical wrong urbanization policy. Evidence of such wrong policy is proved by this study for last three decades(1970-2000) in political economic approach with special reference to the Manuel Castells' theory. The study concludes that urbanization with no proper development plan is mostly vulnerable and wasteful. And the environment is once spoiled, it is almost impossible to recover, so it is necessary for us long term and proper plan before development.

Recently, the usage of aluminum alloy is rapidly increasing in automobile industry to achieve weight reduction for fuel efficiency. However, design of forming process of aluminum is more difficult than steel because of poor formability and severe springback. Since applications of finite element analysis for the design of sheet metal forming process are actively performed, it is required to conduct proper consideration of aluminum material behavior. In this study, a plane stress yield function Yld2000(Yoon et al., 2000), proven to describe well the anisotropic behavior of aluminum alloy, is implemented for FE analysis. One element test is considered to verify the validity of implementation of Yld2000 model. In addition, cylindrical cup drawing test is performed to verify earing shape of a drawn cup.
