In this paper, I develop a simple dynamic resource allocation algorithm that reduces the call blocking rate by improving the resource utilization of the WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) systems under multimedia service environment. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm significantly reduces the blocking rate of high speed multimedia calls. The algorithm developed in this paper is currently working in the commercial WCDMA IMT-2000 system.

This paper presents a novel signal processing method for optimal beamforming of smart antenna system in cdma2000 1X mobile communication environments. This method utilizes characteristics of the reverse pilot channel of cdma2000 1X mobile communication systems, and applies them to improve the performance of an adaptive algorithm, which is used to a smart antenna system for beamforming.

A Viterbi Decoder for IMT2000 Mobile Station based on cdma200 is implemented in this paper. There are fundamental traffic channel, supplemental traffic channel for user data transmission and dedicated control channel for signal transmission in cdma2000. This decoder can decode these channels simultaneously, and support l/2, l/3, 1/4 code rate decoding. In case of fundamental channel decoding, it needs about 1100 logic cells and 30000 bit memory block.

3세대 방식인 IMT-2000 (International Mobile Telecommunication-2000)시스템은 GSM이나 IS-95 CDMA 시스템과 같은 2세대 이동통신 시스템과 비교하여 고속의 멀티미디어 서비스 제공 및 글로벌 로밍을 특징으로 한다. W-CDMA 방식 IMT-2000에 대한 인증 메커니즘은 3GPP TSG SA WG3에 의해서 개발되었다. 본 논문에서는 3GPP에서의 AKA(Authentication & Key Agreement)를 분석하고 이를 통해 안전성 분석 및 취약성을 분석한다. 본 논문에서 제기하는 안전성 분석 및 취약성 분석은 앞으로의 더 좋은 서비스를 제공할 것이다.

This paper describes an effective technique for coding video sequences based on JPEG2000 codec. In the proposed method, multiple frames are combined into one large picture by interleaving each pixel data. A large picture enables images to be coded more efficiently and image quality is improved. A video sequence is efficiently coded by adapting the time correlation of the video sequences to spatial correlation. We demonstrated the effectiveness of this method by encoding video sequences using JPEG2000.

Since 1989, when the first European noise regulation against construction equipments came into force, much investigation had been devoted to reduce the noise and had produced the remarkable improvement in noise reduction technology. EU Directive 2000/14/EC Stage 2, more stringent noise regulation, is going to be implemented from Jan. 2006. The technology trends and examples for noise reduction in typical construction equipment R&D is described briefly.

The purpose of this article is to analyse the policy-making process concerning the selection of providers for IMT-2000, the global roaming communication services in Korea by adopting the new institutional approach. It is supposed to contribute to understanding the characteristic of the policy process in the field of information and communication. We can see the durability of institution through the process that the government lost its policy credibility by using the intervention instrument rather than letting go in the market place.

Base Station Controller which belongs to IMT-2000(International Mobile Telecommunication - 2000) network has several types of structure for efficient control protocol. This difference of structure occurs two different protocols for call handling. Recently the need of IMT-2000 is highly increasing, so it is important to analyze the performance of processors and IPC(Inter-Processor Communication) module with structure of BSC and protocol difference. This paper presents the performance comparison of different types of BSC in view of processor utilization, waiting time, queue length and QoS(Quality of Service) through the simulation model.
