Military technology transition is the process of transition from the science and technology environment to systems to supply effective weapon systems and support systems to the fighters. In case of technology transition decision, immatured technologies result in increasing acquisition cost and delaying schedule toward the objective system. In this paper, we proposed a method to identify and select critical technology elements by integration relations between technologies or components, for supporting technology transition and risk management of military R&D projects.

The continuous information technology and telecommunication (ICT) developments inspire several Saudi Arabia citizens to transact and interact online. However, when using online platforms, several people are likely to lose their personal information to cybercriminals. In the survey, 553 Saudi Arabia citizens and 103 information technology (IT) specialists confirm the expansion of digital economy and the need for smart cities with various services, including e-commerce and solid cyber security. 96.6% of the participants believe Saudi Arabia is digitalizing its economy; yet, 33.3% of the participants believe that residents are uninformed about living and operating in smart cities. Several people (47.29%) with medium internet speed are more aware about smart cities than those with fastest internet speed (34%). Besides, online transactions via credit cards subjected 55.5% of the participants to privacy and security issues. These findings validate the essence of cyber security awareness programs among Saudi Arabia citizens and IT professionals to boost public trust and acceptance of cybersecurity frameworks.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the impacts of individual difference toward technology and situational influences on use intention of Self-Service Technology. While the previous research related to SSTs focuses on individual tendency toward technology, little research has been done on the impact of situational influences on usage intention of SSTs. This study proposed Technology Readiness Index for measuring individual tendency toward technology and categorized situational influences into two dimensions: location convenience, employee presence. The empirical testing of the research was conducted on 20' users who have prior experience in using SSTs except for ATMs in bank. This study demonstrated that the people who are favorable emotions positively affect SSTs. Also this study confirmed that it is effective to build strategies to form favorable attitude and usage intention of knowledge of SSTs rather than method through service employees. Finally, SSTs were distributed for customers.

The recent studies indicated that the major sources of the failure in carrying out the programs of weapon systems development would be the unsatisfaction of the required key performance and also the use of premature technology. As such, to manage the risk during the weapon systems development, the use of the technical performance measurement (TPM) and the technology maturity assessment (TMA) turned out to be necessary. However, the TPM studied so far seems to cover the assessment of performance at the component level only, and thus is insufficient in considering the system integration effect. On the other hand, the system readiness level (SRL) method has been presented by reflecting the effect on system integration, but the system performance and maturity has not been considered. To overcome this, a measurement method is proposed in the paper by utilizing the combined system readiness level and achieved technical performance at the system level. This system performance measure can be useful in managing the risk in the weapon systems development.

Recently as the advent of knowledge-based competition, the major industrialized countries including Korea, are expanding their R&D investment and promoting policies for diffusing of R&D performance. For this, NASA, DoD and such agencies in the United States define Technology Readiness Level (TRL) as a quantified indicator for performance management, and also impose Technology Readiness Assessment (TRA) as a evaluation system, that evaluates technology maturity using TRL. These tools are judged to be very effective in R&D projects especially with the object of practical use. When this concept is applied to the domestic national construction and transportation R&D project for the purpose of practical use, it is expected that the evaluation system overcomes its weakness of focusing only on academic results and improves significantly on intent of achieving practical use. Thus in this study, TRL/TRA implementation model of construction and transportation R&D project for achieving purpose of practical use is presented through an analysis of TRL/TRA concept and domestic national construction and transportation R&D project's characteristics and current evaluation/management system.
Rapid development of information and communication technologies leads firms to take 'smart work' into serious consideration as a new way of working in coming knowledge and information society. However, some jobs may be fit for smart work while some may be not. A $2{\times}2$ framework for smart work readiness assessment is developed in this study through the review of extant literature and a series of focus group activities. Two critical dimensions of smart work are derived and presented as a result: smartness (knowledge versus data) and mobility (mobile versus static). Knowledge intensive jobs with possible mobility seem to be the target group that can be easily converted to smart work while mobile workers with interactive data processing devices seem to be already doing smart work. As mobility is a critical presumption for work to be flexible in terms of time and place, jobs with no mobility are assessed here as not ready for smart work at least at present. This framework is experimentally applied against the published job statistics 2011 in Korea, and used to estimate the number of workers ready for smart work. As a conclusion, discussions on policy implications and further research issues are made at the end.
Purpose - It is very important to examine customer's behavior about AR shopping either practically or academically. Thus, it will be worthwhile to discuss more in details about AR utility which is even in early stage of distribution industry now. Research design, data, and methodology - This study has designed in consideration of control effects of perceived complexity based on customer's flow as dependent variable, and on AR characteristics and technology readiness as independent variables. Study data has been collected from questionnaires after using AR shopping service directly by those who are 20-30 years old of male and female respondents, which has been analyzed with 167 questionnaires. Hypothesis is verified using by hierarchical regression analysis. Results - After results of hypothesis verified, positive influence has been shown in terms of sensory immersion, manipulation, and optimism, however, it is rejected in relation to navigation and innovativeness. Control effect of perceived complexity has not been appeared. Conclusions - Implications of this study are as follows. First, AR shopping service has to provide an informational value. Second, by providing AR service to customer group, marketing activities will be in effects. Third, recognized complexity is not connected with significant control effect in terms of customer's devotion of service.
The construction of smart factories for government SMEs is not easy due to the lack of professional manpower. The use of retired professionals is a way to solve the problem to some extent and to solve the job problem of seniors by effectively utilizing social assets. This study examines the effectiveness of using Meister based on a survey of 195 companies participating in the Smart Meister Support Program. As a result, the better pre-participation readiness and the better management and coordination of change during the participation, the more significant influence was on Meister's ability development and corporate performance. In particular, it was confirmed that Meister's competence plays a role in both 'pre-participation readiness and business performance' and 'between change management during participation and business performance'. In order to improve the performance of the smart meister business in the future, it is necessary to proactively promote the purpose and purpose of the business targeting companies that wish to participate in the business. In addition, it was found that it is necessary to support the development of change management in order to minimize the resistance to innovation during the project. It will be possible to enhance social competitiveness by resolving senior jobs and strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs by discovering and utilizing Meister, who is an expert among retirees.

Purpose: The study was done to verify evidence-based practice (EBP) readiness and factors contributing to EBP competency in general hospital nurses. Methods: Participants were 219 nurses working in 7 general hospitals in G-city and J Province. Data were collected from May 12 to May 28, 2015 and analyzed using one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Mean score for EBP competency was $3.89{\pm}0.83$, for critical thinking disposition, $3.35{\pm}0.36$, for EBP attitude, $3.53{\pm}0.66$, for beliefs about value of EBP, $3.42{\pm}0.56$, for ability in research performance, $2.86{\pm}0.57$, for time to devote to EBP, $2.57{\pm}0.69$ and for organization support for EBP, $3.36{\pm}0.46$. EBP competency was significantly correlated with critical thinking disposition (r=.37, p<.001), beliefs about value of EBP (r=.43, p<.001), ability in research performance (r=.44, p<.001), and time to devote to EBP(r=.33, p<.001). Factors influencing EBP competency in general hospital nurses were research performance (${\beta}=.29$, p<.001), beliefs about value of EBP (${\beta}=.24$, p<.001), critical thinking disposition (${\beta}=.15$, p=.014), recognition of EBP (${\beta}=-.18$, p=.002), which together explained 35% of total variance. Conclusion: Findings indicate that introduction and activation of EBP in general hospitals is essential and development of systematic training programs to strengthen critical thinking disposition and EBP competency are needed.

This study defined the concepts of change-readiness, affordance system, agility, and performance, which are becoming increasingly important and necessary in service industry. Also, by verifying the relationship among these factors based on theoretical and empirical researches, it proposed strategic implications for service firms to reinforce their competitiveness. The results of the analysis in this study are as follows. First, the factors of technology, organization, and environment had significant effects on affordance system. Second, affordance system had significant effects on both agility and performance. Third, agility had a significant effect on performance. Fourth, job uncertainty moderated the relationship between affordance system and agility, but not between affordance system and performance. The results suggest that affordance system is a highly effective method of improving agility of the frontline employees. To maximize the utility of affordance system, sufficient change-readiness in technological, organizational, and environmental factors are required. Reasons and implications of these observed relationships are discussed.
