  • The purpose of this research is to establish the UX methodology knowledge optimized for small sized companies on the basis of theoretical and practical UX development process models. The 7 UX design process models were analyzed by the outcomes and attributes on each design stage from academic field. Then the interview and observation on 18 domestic companies were conducted to clarify the actual methods in use and the gab from the academic theories. The two different design model were unified as an product lifecycle coupled UX process (PLUS). The 100 theory-industry knowedge combined UX design methodologies were selected and aligned along with 6 design stages of PLUS process. Each method was decomposed as a template format that contains standardized attributes applicable for small companies under consideration of their resources, process and produced items. The result of this research is expected to be applied onto real industry and reduce the risk of small manufacturing companies to escalate the quality of UX in their productions.

  • As management is becoming a focus of a construction industry, conprehensive construction management is needed. Thus a plan of improving a design work process for developing design work capacity is proposed. The plan of improving a design work process based on a information flow for decision makings is expected to be a good ground material of not only smooth communication among stakeholders and information tracing, but also effective management of whole process. • This study explains the planning practical training that researches the process of functional game planning approach by developing functional games. The main focus of this study is the practical training process of planning which is an important part of game development jobs by developing games with proper functional materials, 'Framework of Planning Functional Game', and the verification of framework by developing functional games. This paper suggests that the functional game planning approach with the right function requires progressive/quantitative standard, which is different from typical process. Therefore, this paper is useful as reference materials of a functional game education through the cases of games developed by the progressive/quantitative approach standard.

  • It is not enough to reduce damages of computer systems by just patching vulnerability codes after incidents occur. It is necessary to detect and block intrusions by boosting the durability of systems even if there are vulnerable codes in systems. This paper proposes a robust real-time intrusion detection method by monitoring root privileged processes instead of system administrators in Linux systems. This method saves IP addresses of users in the process table and monitors IP addresses of every root privileged process. The proposed method is verified to protect vulnerable programs against the buffer overflow by using KON program. A configuration protocol is proposed to manage systems remotely and host IP addresses are protected from intrusions safely through this protocol.

  • The existed approaches to analyzing real-time schedulability take place exponential time and space complexity of this methods, since these uses a fixed priority scheduling and/or traverse all possible state spaces. This paper judges whether it is satisfied a given deadlines for real-time processes regarding a minimum execution time of process, periodic, deadline and a synchronizion time of processes by using the transaction rules of process algebra, and proposes a retrieval algorithm for unschedulable processes based on GUI environment. And we implement and evaluate the scheduling state analyzer that displays visually the result of schedulabiliy analysis for real-time processes.

  • In the embedded Linux environments, developers can concurrently debug multiple processes that have parent-child relationships using multiple gdbs and gdbservers. But, it needs additional coding efforts and messy works of activating another gdbs and gdbservers for each created process, and so, it may be inefficient in the viewpoint of developers. In this paper, we propose a mgdb library and mgdbserver that supports concurrent debugging of multiple processes in the embedded Linux systems by using the library wrapping mechanism without modifying the kernel. Also, through the experimentation of concurrent debugging for multiple processes that communicate by an unnamed pipe, we show that our proposed debugging mechanism is more efficient than the preexisting mechanisms.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest improvement ways of outpatient process via a simulation model and to improve operational efficiency. Three experimentation scenarios were implemented into the simulation model to determine which proposed scenario provides better improvement in terms of the following performance measures: LOS(Length of Stay), patient waiting time, patient travel time, and staff utilization. The hospital medical data collection and statistical tools used to analyze the process mining tools. And the PIOS simulation tool was used and the validity of the model was verified by using t-test. The simulation results demonstrated that oupatient process of center type is most efficient. Simulation approach is a powerful technique that supports efficient decision-making compared to traditional healthcare management approach based on past experience, feelings, and intuition. Therefore, the proposed experimentation model has wide applicability in healthcare systems.

  • This paper introduces the new notions of conjunctive and complement choices in process algebra, which reduce both process and system complexities significantly for distributed mobile real-time system during specification and analysis phases. The complement choice implies that two processes make cohesive choices for their synchronous partners at their own choice operations. The conjunctive choice implies choice dependency among consecutive choice operations in a process. The conjunctive choice reduces process complexity exponentially by the degree of the consecutive choice operations. The complement choice also reduces system complexity exponentially by the degree of the synchronous choice operations. Consequently, the reduction method makes the specification and analysis of the systems much easier since the complexity is reduced significantly. This notion is implemented in a process algebra, called ${\delta}$-Calculus. The efficiency and effectiveness are demonstrated with an example in a tool for the algebra, called SAVE, which is developed on ADOxx platform.

  • Recently, Distributed computing processing begins using both CPU(Central processing unit) and GPU(Graphic processing unit) to improve the performance to overcome darksilicon problem which cannot use all of the transistors because of the electric power limitation. There is an integrated graphics processor that CPU and GPU share memory and Last level cache(LLC). But, There is no LLC access rules between CPU and GPU, so if GPU and CPU processes run together at the same time, performance of both processes gets worse because of the contention on the LLC. This Paper gives evidence to prove the need of the Cache Partitioning and is mentioned about the cache partitioning design using page coloring to allocate the L3 Cache space only for the GPU process to guarantee GPU process performance.

  • The growth of sensor and wireless communication technology enable us to monitor the status of things in real-time. There are many attempts to apply the real-time monitoring in various fields. Especially, the real-time monitoring in facility management fields has attracted much attentions recently. But it is difficult to apply recent technologies including sensor, wireless communication and Geospatial information technologies, etc, to the real situation directly. One of the reasons is that facility managers who are familiar with existing processes may resist the change induced by new technologies. So it is necessary to close the gap between new technologies and existing processes by improving the existing processes prior to putting them in the field. In this paper, we suggest the management process improvement focused on the district heating facilities.
