A nuclear fuel test loop (after below, FTL) is installed in IR1 of an irradiation hole in HANARO for testing neutron irradiation characteristics and thermo hydraulic characteristics of a fuel loaded in a light water power reactor (PWR) or a heavy water power reactor (CANDU). There is an in-pile section (IPS) and an out-pile section (OPS) in this test loop. When HANARO is normally operated, the fuel loaded in the IPS has a nuclear reaction heat generated by a neutron irradiation. To remove the generated heat and to maintain an operation condition of the test fuel, a main cooling water system (MCWS) is installed in the OPS of the FTL. The pump can not continuously suck a fluid and not pressurize the fluid during a cold function test. To verify the flow characteristics of the MCWS, a flow net work analysis has been conducted. When the higher elevation pipelines wholly filled with coolant, it was confirmed through the analysis results that the pump pressurized the coolant normally. And the analysis results described the system characteristics with operation temperature and pressure variation satisfactorily.
The effect of reaction conditions on the size and size distribution of superparamagnetic iron oxide coated with siloxane was big investigated by using dynamic light scattering. The hydrogen bond between the hydroxyl groups on tile surface of the magnetite and silanol was confirmed by FT-IR. The size of nanoparticles increased with the reaction temperature, but decreased with monomer contents and agitation speeds. There was not a big difference in size of nanoparticles, prepared by different reaction conditions, but its distribution was in the range of 14∼41nm. All samples exhibited the superparamagnetic nature. The magnetic susceptibility of the nanoparticles increased with the reaction temperature while it decreased with the monomer content and agitation speed.
This paper describes the formation of porous 3C-SiC by anodization. 3C-SiC thin films were deposited on p-type Si(100) substrates by APCVD using HMDS(Hexamethyildisilane: $Si_2(CH_3)_6$). UV-LED(380 nm) was used as a light source. The surface morphology was observed by SEM and the pore size was increased with increase of current density. Pore diameter of 70 $\sim$ 90 nm was achieved at 7.1 mA/cm$^2$ current density and 90 sec anodization time. FT-IR was conducted for chemical bonding of thin film and porous 3C-SiC. The Si-H bonding was observed in porous 3C-SiC around wavenumber 2100 cm$^{-1}$. PL shows the band gap enegry of thin film(2.5 eV) and porous 3C-SiC(2.7 eV).

Generally, the build-up printed circuit board manufactured by a sequential process involving etching, plating, drilling, etc, which requires many types of equipments and long lead time. Etching process is suitable for mass production, however, it is not adequate for manufacturing a prototype in the development stage. In this study, we introduce a screen printing technology for prototyping a build-up printed circuit board. As for the material, photo/thermal curable resin and conductive paste are used for the formation of dielectric and conductor. The build-up structure is made by subsequent processes such as formation of a liquid resin thin layer, solidification by a UV/IR light, and via hole filling with a conductive paste. By use of photo curable resin, productivity is greatly enhanced compared with thermal curable resin. Finally, the basic concept and the possibility of build-up printed circuit board prototyping are proposed in comparison with the conventional process.
In this study, we examined the influence of the pigment characteristic and dyeing condition on dyeing properties and functionality by using Perilla Frutescens L. Britt extracts, in which ethanol, distilled water and NaOH solution were used as 3 different solvents. Changes in dyeing conditions include variations in dye concentration, dyeing temperature, time and pH on dye uptake, and K/S values were compared according to these changes. Additionally, color changes were observed according to the use and types of mordant. Ultraviolet-visible spectrum was utilized to investigate the pigment characteristic, and as a result, chlorophyll was identified in ethanol extract, whereas tannin was identified both in distilled water extract and NaOH solution extract. By using FT-IR analysis, these tannins in distilled-water-extract and NaOH solution extract were verified to be hydrolyzable tannin. When dyeing silk, dye uptake increased as dye concentration, dyeing temperature and time increased, while it decreased as pH of the extract increased. Fabrics dyed without a mordant produced Y-series colors, and fabrics dyed with mordants showed various colors depending on the mordant types. Even though color fastness to washing and light was unsatisfactory, fastness to rubbing and perspiration showed relatively high grade. Moreover, deodorant ability of dyed fabric improved.
EDISON 화학 서버의 GAMESS 프로그램을 사용하여 $Ru(bpy){_3}^{2+}$와 유도체들의 바닥상태(ground state)와 첫 번째 들뜬 상태(first excited state)를 계산하였다.
Indium tin oxide (ITO) provides high electrical conductivity and transparency in the visible and near IR (infrared) wavelengths. Thus, it is widely used as a transparent electrode for the fabrication of liquid crystal displays (LCDs) and organic light emitting diode displays (OLRDs), photovoltaic devices, and other optical applications. Lasers have been used for removing coating on polymer substrate for flexible display and electronic industry. In selective removal of ITO layer, laser wavelength, pulse energy, scan speed, and the repetition rate of pulses determine conditions, which are efficient for removal of ITO coating without affecting properties of the polymer substrate. ITO coating removal with a laser is more environmentally friendly than other conventional etching methods. In this paper, pattering of ITO film from polymer substrates is described. The Yb:KGW femtosecond laser processing system with a pulse duration of 250fs, a wavelength of 1030nm and a repetition rate of 100kHz was used for removing ITO coating in air. We can remove the ITO coating using a scanner system with various pulse energies and scan speeds. We observed that the amount of debris is minimal through an optical and a confocal microscope, and femtosecond laser pulses with 1030nm wavelength are effective to remove ITO coating without the polymer substrate ablation.

We report the enhancement of hole injection using ozone-treated Ag nanodots dispersed on indium tin oxide anode in $Ir(ppy)_3-doped$ phosphorescent OLED. Phosphorescent OLED fabricated on Ag nanodots dispersed ITO anode showed a lower turn on voltage and higher luminescence than those of OLEDS prepared commercial ITO anode. Synchrotron x-ray scattering examination results showed that the Ag nanodots dispersed on ITO anode is amorphous structure due to low deposition temperature. It was thought that decrease of the energy barrier height as Ag nanodots changed to $AgO_x$ nanodots by surface treatment using ozone for 10 min led to enhancement of hole injection in phosphorescent OLED. Futhermore, efficient hole injection can be explained by increase of contact region between anode material and organic material through introduction of $Ag_2O$ nanodots.
A conjugated spirocyclic polymer was synthesized via the cyclopolymerization of 1,1-dipropargyl-1- silacyclohexane with various transition metal catalysts. The monomer, 1,1-dipropargyl-1-silacyclohexane was synthesized by Grignard reaction of 1,1-dichloro-1-silacyclohexane with propargyl magnesium bromide. This polymerization proceeded well to give the corresponding poly(1,1-dipropargyl-1-silacyclohexane). The catalytic activity of WCl6 was found to be similar with that of MoCl5. The structure of polymer having the conjugated backbone with silacyclohexane moieties was characterized by such instrumental methods as NMR (1H-, 13C-), IR, and UV-visible spectroscopies. The resulting polymers were mostly yellow or light-brown powders, depending on the catalyst systems used. This polymer was completely soluble in halogenated and aromatic hydrocarbons such as chloroform, 1,2-dichloromethane, benzene, toluene, and chlorobenzene, etc. The thermal and oxidative stabilities of polymer were also studied and discussed.
Copper complexes have been directly incorporated into cellulose acetate (CA) and the resulting light blue colored homogeneous films of 5-20 wt.% copper acetate complex concentrations are found to be thermally stable up to 200 $^{\circ}C$. The reaction chem istry of Cu in CA has been investigated by reacting them with small gas molecules such as CO, H2, D2, O2, NO, and olefins in the temperature range of 25-160 $^{\circ}C$, and various Cu-hydride, -carbonyl, -nitrosyl, and olefin species coordinated to Cu sites in CA are characterized by IR and UV/Vis spectroscopic study. The reduction of Cu(II) complexes by reacting with H2 gas at the described conditions results in the formation of Cu2O and copper metal nanoparticles in CA, and their sizes in 30-120 nm range are found to be controlled by adjusting metal complex concentration in CA and/or the reduction reaction conditions. These small copper metal particles show various catalytic reactivity in hydrogenation of olefins and CH3CN; CO oxidation; and NO reduction reactions under relatively mild conditions.
