Image Processing은 Image Data가 대량이고 내재된 정보가 병렬로 연관성을 가진다는 측면에서 실시간 처리가 용이하지 알다. 본 연구에서는 High Speed Real Time Image Processing을 위한 IPU(Image Processing Unit)와 이를 구동하기 위한 High Speed Real Time image Processing Language인 IPASM(Image Processing Assembly)을 제안한다. 우선 IPU의 기본개념을 설명하고 IPU의 구현을 위한 IPLU(Image Processing Logic Unit)를 설계한다. 그 후 Window98환경에서 구동 가능한 IPASM Interpreter를 실제로 제작하여 IPU의 동작방식을 간접적으로 진단한다.

" Analyzing on an object in the sphere of domestic law with the method of international law" has been already on the horizon in international law. For the lawyers of international law and space law, it is quite natural that they utilize the method of international law, whatever objects they may choice. The reason is that the characteristic of international law do not depend upon object in itself, but depend upon method in itself. The object of this paper is the idea of Peaceful Use(IPU or PU) in Japanese Space Policy. The method to be applied to this analysis is the international law's interpretation theory on legal principles, i.e., the method of international law. One of the aims of this paper is to explain critically the need of review on IPU in Japanese Space Policy; in particular with respect to the positive reconstruction of IPU through historical analyzing on the transfiguration and the mere shell of the Post-War Japanese Pacifism(PJP) as the starting point of IPU The historical process of the transfiguration and the mere shell is as followed .i.e.," from the ultranationalism in the pre-war Japan to PJP in the post-war Japan, from PJP to IPU, and from IPU to IPU's regression. In particular with respect to the interpretation theory, the meaning of the teleological, aims and objects school's approach on the interpretation of legal principles(P) has been emphasized. The reason is that the promising development of IPU will be realized by cooperating with the interpretation theory on P in international law. At the end of the beginning, I'd like to quote K. Marx's thesis in order to make the positions and missions the lawyers of international law and space clear. It is as follows, i.e.," THE PHILOSOPHERS HAVE ONLY INTERPRETED THE WORLD IN VARIOUS WAYS - THE POINT, HOWEVER IS TO CHANGE IT.

The Intelligent Power Unit (IPU) utilized in Honda's Civic Hybrid Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system was developed with the aim of making every component lighter, more compact and more efficient than those in the former model. To reduce energy loss, inverter efficiency was increased by fine patterning of the Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) chips, 12V DC-DC converter efficiency was increased by utilizing soft-switching, and the internal resistance of the IMA battery was lowered by modifying the electrodes and the current collecting structure. These improvements reduced the amount of heat generated by the unit components and made it possible to combine the previously separated Power Control Unit (PCU) and battery cooling systems into a single system. Consolidation of these two cooling circuits into one has reduced the volume of the newly developed IPU by 42% compared to the former model.

The purpose of study is to estimate heating, cooling load performance and economic efficiency in office building with applied the functional paint. this paint can reduced SHGC(Solar Heat Gain Coefficient) on the glazing surface by coating. In this study, estimated to compared with double glazing, low-e glazing, IP(Insulation Paint) and IPu(Insulation UV-Cut Paint) coating glazing. As a result of this study, 1)heating & cooling load Analysis, SHGC value and U-factor of double glazing is about 0.70 and 3.29($W/m^2K$). low-E glazing is about 0.65 and 2.70($W/m^2K$). Two-side it is about 0.27 and 3.25($W/m^2K$). When compared to double glazing, annual heating & cooling load of low-E glazing, Two-side IPu and IP paint coating glazing is 3,012MWh($124kWh/m^2$), 2,910MWh($120kWh/m^2$), 2,867MWh($118.4kWh/m^2$) and 2,867MWh($118.4kWh/m^2$). It i sreduced to 2.0%, 5.2%, 6.7%, and 6.7% respectively. 2)the estimation of economic efficiency, low-e glazing installed in office building can not recover the investment within a lifetime 40years. but IPu and IP paint, two-side coating in glazing, have a payback period of 13 years respectively.

본 논문에서는 부동소숫점연산 프로세서들의 최근 동향을 설명하면서 부동소숫점 연산기의 중요성을 강조하고, 한국전자통신연구소 프로세서구조연구실에서 개발하고 있는 HARP(High-performance Architecture for RISC type Processor)의 개발전략에 따른 부동소숫점 연산기(Floating-Point Unit : FPU)의 구조를 정의한다. 또한 HARP FPU의 설계구현을 마이크로 구조측면에서 설명한다. HARP의 CPU와 동일 칩상에 구현될 HARP FPU는 고유의 구조를 가지며 모든 부동소숫점 연산은 IEEE-754 표준을 따른다. HARP FPU는 고속의 부동소숫점 연산 유니트이며, HARP의 IPU(Integer Processing Unit)와는 독립적으로 동작되도록 설계되어서 HARP CPU의 전체적인 파이프라인 기능에 가능한 한 페날티를 주지 않도록 동작된다.

Side scan sonar System occupies an important position as one of marine survey equipments. The purpose of this research is to express sonar' scan images in underwater and compare with the measured size, shape and the quality of the material. Also we confirm the effectiveness of obtained images using the Side scan sonar.

Objective : Age is a strong predictor of mortality in traumatic brain injuries. A surgical decision making is difficult especially for the elderly patients with severe head injuries. We studied so-called 'withholding a life-saving surgery' over a two year period at a university hospital. Methods : We collected data from 227 elderly patients. In 35 patients with Glasgow Coma Score 3--8, 28 patients had lesions that required operation. A life-saving surgery was withheld in 15 patients either by doctors and/or the families (Group A). Surgery was performed in 13 patients (Group B). We retrospectively examined the medical records and radiological findings of these 28 patients. We calculated the predicted probability of 6 month mortality (IPM) and 6 month unfavorable outcome (IPU) to compare the result of decision by the International Mission for Prognosis and Analysis of Clinical Trials in TBI (IMPACT) calculator. Results : Types of the mass lesion did not affect on the surgical decision making. None of the motor score 1 underwent surgery, while all patients with reactive pupils underwent surgery. Causes of injury or episodes of hypoxia/hypotension might have affected on the decision making, however, their role was not distinct. All patients in the group A died. In the group B, the outcome was unfavorable in 11 of 13 patients. Patients with high IPM or IPU were more common in group A than group B. Wrong decisions brought futile cares. Conclusion : Ethical training and developing decision-making skills are necessary including shared decision making.

Theoretical and experimental study of the unconfined penetration (UP) test was conducted to suggest a new test method (referred to as IUP, Improved Unconfined Penetration) for determination of the tensile strength of compacted sand-bentonite mixtures. The tensile strength of compacted mixtures can be calculated from limit analysis based on the theory of perfect plasticity. The measurement errors in new test method were reduced by improving the UP device. Preliminary experiment results indicate that the tensile strength increases with increasing the disk size, loading rate and pH level. In addition, the disk diameter with 25.4 mm and the loading rate with 0.5%/min~1%/min are most suitable condition for the IUP test. The reliability of IPU test was verified by through the fact that good agreement between the IUP and conventional split tensile test results is observed.
