  • During the construction work, many deaths and injuries have occurred in the formwork. This study aims to analyze the perceptions of construction workers about the disaster of formwork collapse. In this study, the IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) technique was used to analyze the perception of construction workers and derive urgent factors for improvement. As a result of IPA analysis, the fourth quadrant factor needed to be improved first, and the second quadrant factor needed effort distribution. Therefore, it is judged that this study can be used as basic data for safety management and disaster prevention activities.

  • Effective pain management is crucial for the successful performance of various endodontic procedures. Painless treatments are made possible by anesthetizing the tooth to be treated using various nerve-block techniques. However, certain circumstances necessitate supplemental anesthetic techniques to achieve profound anesthesia, especially in situations involving a "hot tooth" in which intrapulpal anesthesia (IPA) is employed. IPA is a technique that involves the injection of an anesthetic solution directly into the pulp tissue and is often utilized as the last resort when all other anesthetic techniques have been unsuccessful in achieving complete pulpal anesthesia. This review focuses on the IPA procedure and the factors that influence its success. Additionally, the advantages, limitations, disadvantages, and future directions of IPA are discussed.

  • The quality of service on urban roadways have been evaluated mainly based on such quantitative measures as travel speed and delay. However, in addition to the quantitative aspects, drivers traveling on urban roadways are subject to be influenced by qualitative measures such as aesthetic aspects of the roadway and other drivers' violation of traffic laws. Based on this notion, this study attempts to identify roadway service quality indices, considering both qualitative and quantitative aspects and evaluate the quality of service using the modified Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), a technique often applied in the field of marketing. The modified IPA is proposed in this study as a way to evaluate the service quality, reflecting the relative performance between study areas and performance indices. A case study is implemented over the Gangnam and Gangbuk areas in Seoul, resulting in identifying the items needed to be improved for each study area.

  • The importance-performance analysis (IPA) is a widely used analytical technique that produces a priority of managerial attention for the customer satisfaction. This study attempted to compare various different approaches of IPA such as direct and indirect measurement of importance, and traditional four quadrants grid model and diagonal grid model of IPA. Data on 17 inpatient service quality attributes were collected from 234 inpatients of a general hospital. Eight IPA grids were produced to compare the result of each model. Based on the study results the strength and weakness of each model were discussed, and a set of recommendations for practical application of the IPA in hospital settings was suggested.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate on the Korean and Western medicine clinic quality to use IPA matrix and to establish a Korean medicine service management strategy. Methods : In order to achieve the research purpose, medical consumers who visited 3 Korean and Western medicine clinics were surveyed. frequency analysis, paired t-test were used for the statistical analysis, and the mean of each variable was used for IPA analysis. Results : The major results of analysis are as follows: It was confirmed that the skill and the kindness of the human resources were important in both the Korean medicine clinic and the Western medicine clinic. And it was confirmed the difference of the satisfaction rate and IPA between the Korean medicine clinic and the Western medicine clinic. Especially Medical devices and equipment, Easy booking, reception, payment procedure were different in IPA analysis. Conclusions : We confirmed the similarities and differences between Korean medicine clinics and Western medicine clinics in terms of importance, satisfaction, and IPA. On the basis of these results, Korean Medicine clinic could arrange a management strategy in consideration of consumers' choice attribute.

  • Purpose: Identification of the infrapyloric artery (IPA) type is a key component of pylorus-preserving gastrectomy. As the indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence technique is known to help visualize blood vessels and flow during reconstruction, we speculated that this emerging technique would be helpful in identifying the IPA type. Materials and Methods: From August 2015 to February 2016, 20 patients who underwent robotic or laparoscopic gastrectomy were prospectively enrolled. After intravenous injection of approximately 3 mL of ICG (2.5 mg/mL), a near-infrared fluorescence apparatus was applied. The identified shape of the IPA was confirmed by examining the actual anatomy following infrapyloric dissection. Results: The mean interval time between ICG injection and visualization of the artery was 22.2 seconds (range, 14-30 seconds), and the mean duration of the arterial phase was 16.1 seconds (range, 9-30 seconds). The overall positive predictive value (PPV) of ICG fluorescence in identifying the IPA type was 80% (16/20). The IPA type was incorrectly predicted in four patients, all of whom were obese with a body mass index (BMI) of more than $25kg/m^2$. Conclusions: Our preliminary results indicate that intraoperative vascular imaging using the ICG fluorescence technique may be helpful for robotic or laparoscopic pylorus-preserving gastrectomy.

  • Domestic construction industry has trouble in ensuring competitiveness by aging of skilled labors and lack of innovation in construction technologies. Under the current circumstances, the construction automation technology becomes an useful alternative for enhancing competitiveness through productivity, quality and safety improvement. Thus, this study analyzes the priority in developing construction automation technology using IPA technique. The results show that repetitive and heavy material-included activities have high priority, and will be used as preliminary data for establishing reasonable target and range of construction automation.

  • This study has systematically classified established the agricultural management risks from the agricultural company's position and analyzed their counterplan situation in order to seek measures to counteract this. The AHP & IPA technique were used as an analysis method concerning the evaluation results. The counterplan situation was deduced through an interview investigation of 112 farmers who produce cabbage, white radish, onion, garlic, chili, and 6 other such items in order to stereotype the risks. If the agricultural companies' management capacity is raised in accordance to the risk counterplan deduced from this study, and the risks of agricultural management activity are avoided ahead of time or counter means are activated, we can anticipate the stabilization of agricultural management.
