정보학의 연구영역에 관한 연구

  • Reviewing the outcomes of studies on contemporary information science during some periods and identifying the research area exposed in its studies are essential processes to develop the research and theories of information science and to establish the academic identity of information science. This study seeks to provide the some useful methodological approaches for establishing the research area of information science. The methodological approaches to research area of information science are as follows : (1) normative approach by concepts, definitions, and principles of information science, (2) content analysis of text books, (3) content analysis of curricula of graduate courses, (4) content analysis of graduate disserations or treatises, (5) IIS(Institute of Information Scientists)'s criteria for information science, (6) professors' need assessment, (7) interdisciplinary approach, etc. These are the representative types of methodological approach and have an enough validity and effectiveness in their own way. Therefore I think of that those should be integrately applied to establishing the academic identity of information science.

사용자 세션 지원 자바 서블릿 (Java Servlets Supporting Users's Sessions)

  • To maintain users' sessions through web browsers, a web server needs facilities for authenticating users and managing their information. Those facilities enable a web server to keep the states of the users, providing services distinguished by the states. As of now, those facilities are provided through non-standardized technologies, leading to the repeated development of similar functionalities through many web programers. In this paper, to solve the problem, we define a new session class containing the information on a user, and present a design and implementation of the Java servlet classes which supply the facilities for authenticating users, managing their sessions, and controling web services according to the groups they belong to. These servlet classes work on any web servers supporting Java servlet such as JavaServer, Apache, and IIS.

  • Latest advances in network sensor technology and state of the art of mobile robot, and artificial intelligence research can be employed to develop autonomous and distributed monitoring systems. In this study, as the preliminary step for developing a multi-purpose "Intelligent Space" platform to implement advanced technologies easily to realize smart services to human. We will give an explanation for the ISpace system architecture designed and implemented in this study and a short review of existing techniques, since there exist several recent thorough books and review paper on this paper. Instead we will focus on the main results with relevance to the DIND data fusion with CI of Intelligent Space. We will conclude by discussing some possible future extensions of ISpace. It is first dealt with the general principle of the navigation and guidance architecture, then the detailed functions tracking multiple objects, human detection and motion assessment, with the results from the simulations run.

Ch를 이용한 직선형 5공 압력 프로브의 3차원 유동속도 계측시스템 개발 (Development of Three-Dimensional Flow Velocity Component Measurement System with Straight-Type Five-Hole Pressure Probe Using Ch Language)

  • This paper shows the development process for measuring three-dimensional flow velocity components in a web-browser. The system is developed in an embeddable C/C++ interpreter Ch and Ch-CGI toolkit. The interface for the web-based measurement system consists of a set of web HTML files and Ch files for CGI. All of data in web browser are passed to Ch-CGI script to generate the output of new HTML file. PC-Server and PC-Client can submit measurement parameters and receive the text/graphical results each other. PC-Client can control the test equipment by using a parameters that received from PC-Server. It also can pass the test results between the web-based measurement system. In summary, the designed measurement system is evaluated, the outputs shown well on the web browser.

초등학교 교육활동 기반 그룹웨어의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Educational Activity Based Groupware for Elementary School)

  • Education using the internet, such as a virtual school and distance education, has been limited to the studies of content and method in learning, It has been less studied to make advantage of internet with regard to school administration, teachers' research, and efficient communication within a school. Therefore, it is suggested to implement groupware which can be used in a school environment. For this purpose, this study attempts to design and implement groupware on that purpose. The main content consists of 7 areas: introduction of the school(including children's room), notice room, working room, room for educational materials, individual information, parents' room, internet journey. The basic tool for a groupware is implemented on Windows NT 4.0 Server and subsequent IIS 2.0. DB management based on SQL Server 6.5 makes it enable to manage various information.

  • 본 논문은 디렉토리 리스팅이란 서버 시스템의 파일을 볼 수 있는 것으로 디렉토리 리스팅의 취약점을 갖고 있는 사이트를 찾는 방법과 보완하는 방법이 무엇이 있는지 알아본다. 검색 사이트인 구글을 이용하여 디렉토리 리스팅 취약점이 있는 사이트를 찾는 법, 구글 검색에 내가 운영하는 사이트가 검색되지 않는 방법과 웹 서버의 운영자가 할 수 있는 취약점 제거 방법을 제시한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크의 핵심인 RFID에 대한 응용기술을 개발하기 위하여 대상을 놀이공원으로 잡고, 공원에 출입하는 입장객들이 각 놀이 기구에 입장한 시간과 나가는 시간을 자동으로 입력받아서 데이터베이스에 저장한 후에 전체적인 놀이공원 인원 배치에 관한 합리적인 지시, 명령을 도출하도록 하는 프로그램을 개발하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 이를 위하여 본 논문에서는 13.25Mhz 대의 RFID 센서와 마이크로소프트사의 MSSQL 데이터베이스와 IIS 웹서버를 기반으로 하는 시스템 구축을 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 SkyeTek사의 RFID 리더를 기반으로 시스템을 구축하여 호스트 PC와 연동 프로그램을 C++ 언어를 이용하여 개발하였고, ASP.NET과 C#을 이용한 웹사이트 구축하였으며, RFID 리더의 태그 인식 범위를 확장하기위한 외장형 안테나 제작한 결과 30${\sim}$40 cm 수준의 인식 거리를 보장하는 동판형 안테나를 개발하였으며, 시스템에 적용한 결과 성능의 우수함을 확인하였다.

3D Walking Human Detection and Tracking based on the IMPRESARIO Framework

  • In this paper, we propose a real-time people tracking system with multiple CCD cameras for security inside the building. The camera is mounted from the ceiling of the laboratory so that the image data of the passing people are fully overlapped. The implemented system recognizes people movement along various directions. To track people even when their images are partially overlapped, the proposed system estimates and tracks a bounding box enclosing each person in the tracking region. The approximated convex hull of each individual in the tracking area is obtained to provide more accurate tracking information. To achieve this goal, we propose a method for 3D walking human tracking based on the IMPRESARIO framework incorporating cascaded classifiers into hypothesis evaluation. The efficiency of adaptive selection of cascaded classifiers have been also presented. We have shown the improvement of reliability for likelihood calculation by using cascaded classifiers. Experimental results show that the proposed method can smoothly and effectively detect and track walking humans through environments such as dense forests.

  • The purpose of this study to develop the air-conditioning system that adopts adaptive model as an indoor climate control logic for energy saving. The adaptive model using the ability of human thermal adaptation could be expected to alleviate the indoor set-point temperature compared with the past heat-balance model. Especially, in case of hybrid air-conditioning system coupled with natural ventilation and heating/cooling system, the adaptive model can be describe the thermal comfort of inhabitant who stay at hybrid system controlled buildings with accuracy. In this paper, the concept of adaptive model will be described and the results of a continuous measurement on the actual thermal experiences and behaviors of thermal adaptation for office worker will be reported.

Growth signaling and longevity in mouse models

  • Reduction of insulin/insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) signaling (IIS) extends the lifespan of various species. So far, several longevity mouse models have been developed containing mutations related to growth signaling deficiency by targeting growth hormone (GH), IGF1, IGF1 receptor, insulin receptor, and insulin receptor substrate. In addition, p70 ribosomal protein S6 kinase 1 (S6K1) knockout leads to lifespan extension. S6K1 encodes an important kinase in the regulation of cell growth. S6K1 is regulated by mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) complex 1. The v-myc myelocytomatosis viral oncogene homolog (MYC)-deficient mice also exhibits a longevity phenotype. The gene expression profiles of these mice models have been measured to identify their longevity mechanisms. Here, we summarize our knowledge of long-lived mouse models related to growth and discuss phenotypic characteristics, including organ-specific gene expression patterns.
