To investigate a possibility of the species genetic relationship for the soluble proteins analysis on the class Cephalopoda in the Yellow Sea, the isolate eye, muscle and liver proteins from five species (Sepia esculenta, Sepiella japonica, Loligo chinensis, Loligo beka and Octopus minor) were analysed using different electrophoretic techniques (Davis-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, exponential gradient SDS-PAGE, thin-layer isoelectro-focusing and two-dimensional PAGE). The average molecular weight of the soluble eye and muscle proteins was estimated at 35-50 KDa, separated b the exponential gradient SDS-PAGE. It was corresponds to that of electrophoretic patterns by t재 dimensional PAGE. By which the thin layer IEF, the target proteins showed a reasonable specificity based on their isoelectric points (pI) 7.5-8.5.

The authentic hGH converted from met-hGH by immobilized ApM was purified by successive chromatographic processes based on the differences in isoelectric points, hydrophobicities and charges. The final recovery yield was about 14.1% and the specific activity of the purified hGH was 2.75IU per mg when assayed by enzyme immunoassay. The purified hGH was verified to be authentic hGH through the analysis of amino acid composition, amino-terminal amino acid sequence, carboxy-terminal amino acid and tryptic peptide map. The purity of purified hGH was higher than that of commercial hGH when assessed by SDS-PAGE, PAGE, IEF and HSGF. In weight-gain assay and tibia test with hypophysectomized rats, the hGH produced in this study showed the same growth effect as the commercial hGH.

Poly-Si TFT(Thin Film Transistor) technology are reviewed and discussed. Poly-Si TFTs fabricated on glass using low-temperature process were studied extensively for the application to LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) as well as to OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode) Display. Currently, one of the application targets of the poly-Si TFT is emphasized on the highly functional SOG(System on Glass). Improvement of device characteristics such as an enhancement of carrier mobility has been studied intensively by enlarging the grain size. Reduction of the voltage and shrinkage of the device size are the trend of AM FPD(Active Matrix Flat Panel Display) as well as of Si LSI, which will arise a peculiar issue of uniformity for the device performance. Some approaches such as nucleation control of the grain seed or lateral grain growth have been tried, so far.

An extracellular fibrinolytic-enzyme-producing bacterium was isolated from Doen-Jang, a Korean traditional fermented flood, and identified as Bacillus sp. DJ based on its morphology and cellular fatty acid composition. The total extracellular fibrinase (EF) from Bacillus sp. DJ was analyzed using three fibrin zymographic techniques, SDS-fibrin zymography (SDS-FZ), isoelectrofocucing-fibrin zymographs(IEF-FZ), and a two-dimensional SDS-fibrin zymographic analysis (2D SDS-FZ). As a result, the EP map of Bacillus sp. DJ was established. The results suggest that the 2D SDS-FZ method will be a useful tool for the proteomic approach for many other bacterial pretenses.

Hybries which was made up by chromosome of L. longiflorum and L. x elegans, using root-tip individual which was obtained through ovary slice culture, and root-tip of these parents, with hoirugen staining, gimsa staining and Q-H staining inaccordance with the location and the existence of secondary construction which waslocating near short arm centromere of No, 1,2,6,9. In metaphase of meiosis ofhybrid which was made up by univalent from 2 individuals to 10 individuals wasobserved, and nuclear plate which was having abnormal type's synthesis amounted to91% of all cells whieh were observed. This result showed the fact that someobstacle arose annormal progress of the divission after that time. 63% of the cellshad micronucleus from 1 individlial to 4 individuals in tetrad phase of meiosisdivision. The peroxidase and $\alpha$ -estelase zymogram phenotypes of parents andhybrids were determined using agarlose IEF gel. Crosses were performed betweenparents bearing dissimilar allelomorphs in orther to discern the genetic control ofthe resolved enzymes. Genetic variation of hybrids were detected at all but 2 plant progenies.

The whole proteins from 10 different Saccharomyces species were separated by isoelectric focusing, which was carried out in pH gradient polyacrylamide gels with the carrier ampholytes of various pH ranges. About 25 protein bands were found in the gel using pH 3.0-10.0 carrier ampholytes. In gel using pH 4.0-7.0 carrier ampholytes, the protein band of pI 6.3 was found in Sacch. cerevisiae NCYC 478, ATCC 26787, Sacch. rosei and Sacch. uvarum, but it was absent in Sacch. cerevisiae ATCC 24903, ATCC 42949, ATCC 36029, Sacch. steineri var hara, Sacch. bayanus, and Sacch. diastaticus.

The phenotyping of the sixth complement component (C6) was performed on plasma or serum samples from 383 unrelated Korean, by IEF and immunoblotting using anti-human C6 serum. Three common allotypes, C6 A, C6 B and C6 B2 and two rare allotypes, C6 Ml and C6 Mu were observed. The allele frequencies of C6*A, C6*B and C6*B2 were estimated to be 0.4399, 0.5144, 0.0392, respectively. These frequencies are similar to those of the Eastasian populations.

Diverse digital filters have been designed previously to eliminate powerline(AC) interference in the electrocardiouam. This paper describes filtering methods which have been developed recursive notch, adaptive, IEF(Incremental Estimation Filter) and proposes a new AIEF(Advanced Incremental Estimation Filter) method. The performances of these filters are compared on artificial signals as well as actual ECG signals with the aid of validated CSE(Common Standards for Quantitative Electrocardiowaphy). AC interference in this database is shown to exhibit two qualities especially relevant to filter design : considerable deviations from a nominal 60Hz frequency and substantial noise at higher harmonics.

Analysis of proteome in amniotic fluid was performed by 2-D PAGE (polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis). Proteins in amniotic fluid were separated by centrifugation and solubilized in buffer solution for IEF, using an IPG strip of pH 4-7L. Both a homogeneous slab gel of 12.5% and a gradient gel of 8-18%, were used. After 2-D PAGE, spots were stained with silver nitrate and picked up for in-gel digestion. Digested peptides were analyzed by MALDI-TOF and proteins were further identifical. More protein spots were detected in the gradient gels and a protein not previously reported was identified.

The "crescent-egg" a new spontaneous mutant was detected in a white egg strain k37. Studies were carried out the linkage analysis, to investigate phenotypic characteristics and biochemical analysis of haemolymph and ovarian protein. The mutant, ore was independent from 20 linkage groups P(2), Ze(3),L(4), oc(5), sn8), Ia(9), w-1(10), K(11), ch(13), U(14), bl(15), cts(16), bts(17), mln(18), nb(19), oh(20),Lan(21), or(22), tub(23) and Xan(27). The fertilization, hatchability and larval growth were not different from the those of normal eggs. The content and composition of yolk protein were similared to normal eggs. Scanning electron microscopy revealed the areal specific structure in dorsal region of egg-shell of cre mutant. Analysis of chorion protein by isoelectrofocusing(IEF), was resolved no difference in the composite of the chorion protein. We conclude that the egg mutant ere is expressed only in the egg-shape formation and region specific determination.
