Develop physical layer analysis algorithm for OFDMA signal based IEEE 802.16e (IEEE 802.16e 기반 OFDMA 물리층 분석 알고리즘 연구)

  • We describe and anlayzes the methodology and implementation results of H / W configuration and signal characteristics analysis algorithm for analyzing equipment for analyzing OFDMA physical layer based on 802.16e. Recently, demand for signal analysis of instruments that analyze these signals with the development of digital communication signals is rapidly increasing. Accordingly, it is necessary to develop signal analysis equipment capable of analyzing characteristics of a broadband communication signal using a wideband digital signal processing module. In this paper, we have studied the basic theory of OFDMA in order to devise a device capable of analyzing characterisitcs of broadband communication signals. Second, the structure of OFDMA transmitter/receiver was examined. Third, a wideband digitizer was implemented. we design Wimax signal analysis algorithm based on OFDMA among broadband communication methods and propose Wimax physical layer analysis S/W implementation through I, Q signals. The IF downconverter used the receiver module and the LO generation module of the spectrum analyzer. Quantitative analysis result is obtained through the algorithm of Wimax signal analysis by I, Q data.

  • BACnet(Building Automation and Control Networks) is a standard data communication protocol specifically designed for building automation and control systems, BACnet provides six options for data link layer protocols and these six data link layer options can be applied with various wired transmission media. Recently wireless technology prevails in automation area. ZigBee is an IEEE 802.15.4 based standard communication protocol for low-rate wireless personal area networks. In this study, we propose a BACnet over ZigBee model that adopts ZigBee communication channel as a wireless data link layer protocol in a BACnet-based communication network system. The technology proposed in this paper can expand the BACnet application using the advantages of wired and wireless integrated network solution.

  • UWB는 저속 UWB와 고속 UWB로 구분할 수 있다. 저속 UWB는 IEEE802.15.4a에서 Sensor Network 용도로 표준화 되고 있으며, 고속 UWB는 IEEE802.15.3a에서 중단된 표준화가 UWB Forum과 WiMedia Alliance에서 각각 진행되고 있다. 고속 UWB는 Certified Wireless USB를 시작으로 무선 1394, 고속 Bluetooth 및 IP 패킷을 전송하기 위한 프로토콜 등 다양한 응용에 적합한 표준이 진행되고 있다. UWB 규격 및 상용화에 있어서 2006년도에는 WiNet기술, PHY 및 Platform C/I 규격 및 시험이 규격의 흐름이었다면 2007년도에는 각 국의 주파수 규정을 반영하고 DAA 기능을 추가한 물리계층 및 MAC 계층 규격이 기술흐름의 중심에 있다. 본 고에서는 WiMedia Alliance의 고속 UWB를 중심으로 최근 표준 활동과 WiMedia 규격을 활용한 국내외 기술동향에 대하여 살펴보고자 한다.

  • 급격히 증가하는 모바일 디바이스에 의한 모바일 데이터 요구량을 처리하기 위해 가장많이 고려되고 있는 IEEE 802.11의 WLAN은 셀룰러보다 높은 데이터 전송속도를 제공하지만 이동성이 고려되어있지 않다. 이에 본 논문에서는 Enterprise WLAN에서 IEEE 802.21 MIH 표준에 기반하여 Media Independent Information Server (MIIS)로부터 수신된 주변 AP들의 네트워크의 정보를 바탕으로 후보 엑세스 AP 네트워크를 선정 및 WiMAX에 make-before-break 핸드오버하는 방안을 제안한다. 제안하는 방안은 실제 Enterprise WLAN와 Mobile WiMAX 환경에서 이동하는 단말의 시간에 따른 TCP throughput에 대한 성능평가를 하였다. 이를 통해 제안하는 방안의 평균TCP throughput 성능이 9.04Mbits/s으로 기존 방안의 TCP throughput 성능 6.49Mbits/s보다 약 40%향상됨을 확인하였다.

Packet Scheduling with QoS and Fairness for Downlink Traffic in WiMAX Networks

  • The IEEE 802.16 standard is supposed to provide a wide-range broadband wireless service, but it leaves the implementation of the wireless resource scheduler as an open issue. We have studied the scheduling problem and propose a two level scheduling (TLS) scheme with support for quality of service and fairness guarantees for downlink traffic in a WiMAX network. A central controller Base Station has a number of users, and each mobile subscriber station has different channel conditions. The same mobile subscriber station may have different service requirements at different times in the WiMAX network. Based on OPNET simulation, the results show our scheduling algorithm can increase the network throughput, maintain relative fairness, and lower delay over the round robin and weighted round robin algorithms.

  • WBAN은 사람이 착용하는 옷이나 인체 내부 혹은 외부에 있는 여러 장치들을 상호 연결하여 통신할 수 있는 근거리 무선통신 기술로서 2005년부터 IEEE 802.15 TG16에서 표준화가 활발히 진행되고 있다. WBAN표준은 근거리, 저전력, 고신뢰성 무선통신을 위한 표준화를 목표로 하고 있으며, 용도에 따라 전송속도가 수 kbps$\sim$수십 Mbps 범위로서 의료용뿐만 아니라 비의료용 분야에 활용된다. 의료용은 체내에 이식되는 이식형과 인체 주변에 부착되는 착용형 장치에 활용되며, 비의료용은 데이터 전달이나 게임 응용 등 다양한 엔터테인먼트 분야에 활용된다. 본 고에서는 IEEE 802.15 TGl6에 제안된 WBAN 응용서비스와 이들 서비스의 요구사항을 분석하고, 일반인이 언제 어디서나 이용 가능한 미래의 헬스케어 서비스를 제공하기 위한 WBAN 구조를 살펴보고자 한다.

  • The Media Access Control(MAC) Technologies in IEEE 802 Local Area Network(LAN) reference model include CSMA/CD, Token Ring and Token Bus methodes. The channel throughput of LAN can be affected by some parameters such as channel length, transmission rate and packet size, and station numbers. In this paper, the effect of these parameters to channel throughput are analyzed by normalized parameters. And the token ring and token bus method are analyzed by using the normalized parameter, and relatinonship bwtween channel thorughput and parameters is discussed. Finally, results are compared.

  • This paper shows an implementation of WLAN-based Audio/Video(A/V) system for multimedia home networks. Proposed WLAN-based A/V system can transmit multimedia data of high quality. The entire system consists of a 16-bit RISC controller, a program ROM, a SRAM, timers, an interrupt controller, a DART, GPIOs, an I2C and the OFDM modem supporting for the IEEE 802.11g standard. The simple MAC functions are implemented by firmware on an embedded 16-bit RISC controller. The OFDM modem supports a complete set of data rates up to 54Mbps. Proposed the system is implemented by an Altera FPGA EP1S60F1020C6 device, a 10-bit 2-ch DAC, a 10-bit 2-ch ADC and RF/IF chips.
