In this topic, I will introduce a recent work on reconstructing the cosmic density field based on the GAN. I will show the performance of the GAN compared to the traditional Unet architecture. I'd also like to discuss a 3-channels-based 2D datasets for the training to recover the 3D density field. Finally, I will present some performance tests based on the test datasets.
HK shiitake mushroom mycelium (HKSMM), containing 14% β-glucan, is a health functional food ingredient individually approved by the Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for liver health. The anti-inflammatory effect of a 50% aqueous ethanol extract of HKSMM (designated HKSMM50) was studied in RAW 264.7 macrophage cells treated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). An active hexose correlated compound (AHCC) was used as a positive control. LPS-activated RAW 264.7 cells were treated with HKSMM50 and AHCC (0, 20, 100, 500 ㎍/ml) and cultured for 24 hr. Inflammation-related elements in the supernatant were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits, and the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) proteins in the cells was analyzed by Western blotting. The HKSMM50 lowered iNOS and COX-2 protein expressions, and nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB), nitric oxide (NO) and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) contents in a concentration-dependent manner as compared to LPS treatment. Similarly, the HKSMM50 lowered the content of pro-inflammatory cytokines interleukin-1β (IL-1β), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) contents and increased the activity of antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT). The efficacy of the AHCC treatment was similar to that of the HKSSM50 treatments. These results indicate that HKSMM50 showed an anti-inflammatory effect in LPS-treated RAW 264.7 cells by down-regulation of NF-κB signaling and suggest that HKSMM could be used as a health functional food ingredient to help improve immune function.
The extracts of Yukgunja-tang which has been used in some of gastroin testinal disorders were examined for secretion of gastric juice and movement of isolated stomach of rabbit. Experiments were performed with the dried extract of Yukgunja-tang (sample I) and the dried extract compound made of each drug of Yukgunja-tang (sample II). The secretion of gastric juice at the doses of 25.0 and 50.0mg/kg p.o. of sample I showed the decreases of 34.3 and 43.3%, respectively, as compared with control group, whereas the secretion at a dose of 76.8g/kg of sample II showed 43.1%. In gastric acid secretion, sample I showed 50.0% decrease at a dose of 50.0mg/kg and sample II showed 46.2% decrease at a dose of 76.8mg/kg. In pepsin output sample I showed 17.8 and 23.4% decreases at a dose of 25.0 and 50.0mg/kg, respectively, whereas sample II showed 22.5% decrease at a dose of 76.8mg/kg. The isolated stomach of rabbit showed dose-responsive contraction by addition of sample I, however the contraction was not observed by sample II.

In this paper, interference effects between NGSO and HAPS in the feeder link have been simulated and analyzed by means of calculating excess time percent and duration below the C/I protection ratio. As the results, in the case of HAPS interference into NGSO, it can be obtained that the lowest C/I values are 27.42dB in 50km and 12.73dB in 20Km of HAPS altitudes, respectively. And in the case of NGSO interference into HAPS, it can be obtained that the lowest C/I values are 13.94dB and 10.42dB respectively. HAPS system has more interference reception from other systems or effects more interference into other systems as its altitude is lower. Also, the lowest C/I values are appeared at difference time with its altitude.
An alkalophilic Cephalosporium sp. RYM-202 capable of producing cellulase components was isolated from soil. This organism grew best at an initial pH 9.0 and produced cellulase maximal at an initial pH 9.5-10.0. Three carboxymethyl cellulases(CMCases), P-I-I, P-I-II and P-II-I, were partially purified by DEAE-Sephadex A-50 ion exchange column followed by Sephadex G-150 gel filtration. The optimum pH values for activity were 7.5 for P-I-I, 8.0-9.5 for P-I-II and 7.5-10.0 for P-II-I. All CMCases were stable between pH 4.5 and 12.0. Temperature optima for activity ranged between 40 and $60^{\circ}C$ and more than 50% of the maximum activity was observed at $20^{\circ}C$ for both of P-I-I and P-II-I. The activity of CMCases was significantly stable in the presence of various laundry components, such as, surfactants, chelating agents and alkaline proteinases.
Constitutive cyclooxygenase (COX-I) is present in cells under physiological conditions, whereas inducible cyclooxygenase (COX-II) is induced by some cytokines, mitogens, and endotoxin presumably in pathological conditions such as inflammation. We have evaluated the inhibitory effects of solvent fractionated extracts of natural products on the activities of COX-I and COX-II. Oxygen uptake COX assay was performed, as a primary screening from the tissue extracts of bovine seminal vesicles (BSV), by monitoring the initial rate of oxygen uptake using an oxygen electrode. Additionally, we evaluated plant extracts for the inhibitory effects of COX-I (in HEL cells) and COX-II (in lipopolysaccharide activated J774A.1 macrophages) using thin layer chromatography of prostanoids produced from $^{14}C-labelled$ arachidonic acid (AA). The use of such models of COX-I and COX-II assay will lead to the identification of specific inhibitors of cyclooxygenases with presumably less side effects than present therapies. Inhibitory effects of 50 kinds of plant extracts on the COX-I and COX-II activities were determined and the active fractions were found in the ethyl acetate fractions of Dryopteris crassirhizoma (roots), Amomum cardamomum (roots), Triticum aestivum (seeds), Perilla sikokiana (leaves), Anemarrhena asphodeloides (roots). Especially, the ethyl acetate fraction of Dryopteris crassirhizoma (roots), which exhibited the strong inhibition against BSV COX $(IC_{50},\;65.4\;{\mu}g/ml)$, COX-I $(IC_{50},\;8.5\;{\mu}g/ml)$, and COX-II $(IC_{50},\;17.2\;{\mu}g/ml)$, is under investigation to isolate active principles using activity-guided fractionation method.
The paper gives the results of the experiments with a model two-section REBCO solenoid cooled by either gaseous helium (GHe) or sub-cooled/solid nitrogen (SN2) in (50-77) K temperature range. The major cooling source was a single-stage cryocooler Sumitomo CH-110 with the cooling power of 175 W and 130 W at 77 K and 50 K respectively. The coil itself was not directly conduction cooled. We compare the time taken by both coolants to obtain the temperature of the magnet of about 50 K and the homogeneity of the temperature distribution within the cryostat. Test results for the coil operation in solid nitrogen together with the comparison of its critical properties in SN2 and GHe are also presented.
The biological effects of the iminoctadine tris (albesilate) and kresoxim-methyl for the protection of citrus postharvest diseases caused by penicillium spp. were assayed. In vitro tests, $EC_{50}$ values of iminoctadine tris(albesilate) were $0.01{\sim}0.02\;and\;0.01{\mu}g$ a.i./mL against mycelial growth of P. italicum and P. digitatum, respectively, but iminoctadine tris(albesilate) at $0.64{\mu}g$ a.i. /mL inhibited a little mycelial growth of unknown Penicillium sp. which produced another symptom different to blue and green mold caused by P. italicum and P. digitatum, respectively. And against germination and growth of germ tube of P. italicum and P. digitatum, $EC_{50}$ value of iminoctadine tris(albesilate) was $0.0013{\sim}0.0025{\mu}g$ a.i./mL. But spore germination of unknown Penicillium spp. was not nearly inhibited at $0.2{\mu}g$ a.i./mL. $EC_{50}$ values of kresoxim-methyl were $0.08{\sim}0.16$, 0.04 and $0.16{\mu}g$ a.i./mL against mycelial growth of P. italicum, P. digitatum and unknown Penicillium sp., respectively, and $0.04{\sim}0.08{\mu}g$ a.i./mL and $0.01{\sim}0.02{\mu}g$ a.i./mL against germination and growth of germ tube of P. italicum and unknown Penicillium sp., and P. digitatum, respectively. Iminoctadine tris(albesilate) and kresoxim-methyl were markedly effective to control the postharvest disease by 7 days spray prior to harvest. When the fruits were sprayed with iminoctadine-tris(albesilate) ($200{\mu}g$ a.i./mL) and kresoxim-methyl ($155{\mu}g$ a.i./mL) 7 days prior to harvest and subsequently stored for 90 days, the percentage of diseased fruit by Penicillium spp. was $3.6{\pm}1.8%$ in treatment of kresoxim-methyl and $5.9{\pm}1.8%$ in iminoctadine-tris(albesilate), respectively. On the other hand, tile percentage of diseased fruit was relatively high, $20.3{\pm}10.0%\;and\;19.5{\pm}9.6%$ in thiophanate-methyl ($700{\mu}g$ a.i./mL) and non-treatment, respectively. Maximum residue amount (ppm) among fruits (flesh and peel) assayed 0, 30, 60 and 90 days after storage was 0.45 and 0.10 ppm in treatment of kresoxim-methyl and iminoctadine, respectively.

The present study was conducted to elucidate the body modulating function of fermented seafood products. Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) acts in blood pressure regulation, converting angiotensin I to the potent vasoconstrictor angiotensin II and inactivating the vasodilator bradykinin to raise blood pressure. Salted and fermented anchovy which is one of the traditional fermented seafood in Korea was tested for inhibitory activity against ACE. ACE inhibitory activity of salted anchovy during the period of fermentation was increased with the elapse of fermentation days until fermentation of 60 days, but thereafter decreased inversely. When the fermented product was extracted with $50\%$ ethanol, the ACE inhibitory activity was the highest. And the ACE inhibitory activity was proportion to the content of $50\%$ ethanol soluble peptide-nitrogen of the fermented product. From the profiles of gel permeation chromatography on a Bio-Gel P-2 of $50\%$ ethanol soluble fraction obtained from salted and fermented anchovy fermented for 60 days at an ambient temperature, the higher activity fractions were C'($IC_{50}=97{\mu}g\;protein/ml$) and D'($IC_{50}=65{\mu}g\;protein/ml$). Amino acid analysis showed that the large quantify of threonine, glutamic acid, lysine for C' and serine, proline for D', respectively.
A new type II restriction endonuclease, Bdi I, has been isolated from Brenibacterium divaricatum FERM 5948 by procedures of ammonium sulfate fractionation, DEAE-cellulose chromatography and heparin agarose chromatography. The purified Bdi I restriction endonudlease had the same cleavage patterns of Cla I whose recognition sequence is 5' ATCGAT 3'. From the result that ${\lambda}-Cla$ I DNA frahment could be cloned in pBR 322 digested with Bdi I, it has been proven that Bdi I cuts between T and C(5' AT/CGAT3') within the recognition sequence and produces 5'pCG cohesive end. The optimal temperature for the Bdi I restriction endonuclease activity was $37^{\circ}C$, and optimal salt (NaCl) concentration was 50-100 mM.
