국방 지휘·통제 시설을 위한 ICAN, I3A 설계기준 (ICAN, I3A Design Criteria for Military Defense Command & Control Facilities)

  • 한국군은 국방시설기준이 정립되어 있으나 대부분 시설위주의 설계기준에 중점을 두고 작성되어 있다. 특히 정보통신분야에서는 세부적인 기준은 제시하지 않고 대략적인 수준으로만 제시되어 있다. 미군의 경우 1990년부터 각 군이 공통적으로 적용 가능한 시설기준에 대하여 통합시설기준서(UFC : Unified Facilities Criteria)를 완성해 모든 사업에 공통적용 할 수 있도록 설계기준을 제시하고 있다. 특히 정보통신분야에서는 시설분야와 연계해서 건물내부체계는 미군의 기지통신 기반구조설계기준(I3A: Installation, Information, Infrastructure Architecture)과 시스템에 대해서는 기지 및 캠퍼스지역 네트워크설계기준(ICAN : Installation and Campus area Network)과 비교를 통해 우리군의 지휘 통제시설 및 일반/행정시설에 대한 바람직한 설계기준선을 제시한다.

Comparison of the Effects of Matrix Metalloproteinase Inhibitors on TNF-α Release from Activated Microglia and TNF-α Converting Enzyme Activity

  • Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are zinc-dependent endopeptidases that regulate cell-matrix composition and are also involved in processing various bioactive molecules such as cell-surface receptors, chemokines, and cytokines. Our group recently reported that MMP-3, -8, and -9 are upregulated during microglial activation and play a role as proinflammatory mediators (Lee et al., 2010, 2014). In particular, we demonstrated that MMP-8 has tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-${\alpha}$)-converting enzyme (TACE) activity by cleaving the prodomain of TNF-${\alpha}$ and that inhibition of MMP-8 inhibits TACE activity. The present study was undertaken to compare the effect of MMP-8 inhibitor (M8I) with those of inhibitors of other MMPs, such as MMP-3 (NNGH) or MMP-9 (M9I), in their regulation of TNF-${\alpha}$ activity. We found that the MMP inhibitors suppressed TNF-${\alpha}$ secretion from lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated BV2 microglial cells in an order of efficacy: M8I>NNGH>M9I. In addition, MMP inhibitors suppressed the activity of recombinant TACE protein in the same efficacy order as that of TNF-${\alpha}$ inhibition (M8I>NNGH>M9I), proving a direct correlation between TACE activity and TNF-${\alpha}$ secretion. A subsequent pro-TNF-${\alpha}$ cleavage assay revealed that both MMP-3 and MMP-9 cleave a prodomain of TNF-${\alpha}$, suggesting that MMP-3 and MMP-9 also have TACE activity. However, the number and position of cleavage sites varied between MMP-3, -8, and -9. Collectively, the concurrent inhibition of MMP and TACE by NNGH, M8I, or M9I may contribute to their strong anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects.

개심술환자의 심정지 시간에 따른 혈청효소치 변동에 관한 연구 (A Clinical Study on the Changes of Serum Enzymes after Cardiopulmonary Bypass)

  • In order to assess the correlation of the myocardial damage and the duration of cardiopulmonary bypass, measurement of creatine kinase [CK], lactate dehydrogenase [LDH], asparatate aminotransferase [AST], and MB band of CK [CK-MB] were carried out on the first, third, fifth, seventh, and ninth day in 44 patients following open heart surgery [POD 1,3,5,7,9]. And the patients were divided into three groups according to the duration of aortic cross clamp time [ACT]: Group I [ACT< 60 minutes. n=19], Group II [60 minutes < ACT< 90 minutes, n=7] and Group III[90 minutes > ACT, n=18]. 1. The leakage of CK in total patients increased to the highest level at POD 1, with rapid decrease and recovery at POD 7. The leakage of CK in Group III were greater than in Group I from POD 1 to POD 3 [P < 0.01]. The recovery time of CK level was shorter in Group I [POD 3] than in Group II and III [POD 7]. 2. The serum levels of LDH in total patients increased to the highest level at POD 1, with slow recovery until POD 9. The levels of LDH in Group III were higher than in Group I until POD 9 [P < 0.005]. The levels of LDH in Group I and II recovered but not in Group III. 3. The serum levels of AST in total patients increased to the highest level at POD 1, with rapid decrease and recovery at POD 7. The levels of AST in Group III were greater than in Group I from POD 1 to POD 5 [P < 0.05]. The recovery time of AST level was shorter in Group I and II [POD 5] than in Group III [POD 7]. 4. The positive cases for CK-MB in 36 patients were 22 [61.1 %] as a whole, 5[41.6%] in Group I, 4[57.1 %] in Group II, 13[76.4 %] in Group III at POD 1, and a case in each group at POD 3, and only a case in Group Ill at POD 5. It is concluded that the myocardial injury was closely related with the duration of cardiopulmonary bypass in open heart surgery.

  • Since the concept of osseointegration was introduced by Branemark of Sweden, dental implants have been used for various dental prosthetic treatments. The survival rate of dental implant is likely to be closely related to the total biomechanical role of each component of implant system. The use of interchangeable component is very attractive for dental practitioners because such an approach would save treatment cost, flexibility of prosthetic treatment options as well as conveniences. Therefore, the use of interchangeable implant system has been increasing without scientific assessment of safety and efficacy of various interchangeable implant system. The purpose of this study, therefore, were to compare the geometric characteristic of four interchangeable dental implant screws and the loosening torque of these screws. Four types of dental implant screws tested in this study were Nobelpharma, 3i, Impla-med, Restore. Four screws each of the test specimens were subjected for scanning electron microscopic examinations under the same condition and a 35x magnified standard SEM picture was objected from each test specimen using JSM-5200 scanning microscope. From each of the SEM pictures, eight parameters. i.e., diameter of screw head. screw length, thread pitch, major diameter. neck diameter, neck length, crest width and root width were determined using a caliper. The measurement for each parameters were then corrected for their magnification factor. The loosening torque were also determined by using a torque gauge. All of the measurements were statistically analyzed by ANOVA test and multiple range test. Statistical significance was set in advance at the probability level of less than 0.05. All analyses were done with SPSS software for the personal computer. The conclusion obtained from this studies were summarized as the following; 1. No statistically significances were noted in the thread pitch. and crest width in the four screws, and in the case of major diameter, the Impla-med screw was significantly smaller than the other three screws (p<0.05). Therefore, four implant bolts could be physically inserted in a abutment nuts. 2. The diameter of screw head was decreased in the order of Restore, 3i, Nobelpharma, Impla-med screws and the length of screws were decreased in the order of 3i, Restore, Nobelpharma and Impla-med. The diameter of neck was decreased in the order of Impla-med, Restore. Nobelpharma, 3i screws. The differences of each of these parameters were statistically significant (p<0.05). The width of root of screws were decreased in the order of Nobelpharma, Impla-med, Restore and 3i. The differences among Nobelpharma and Impla-med. Restore and 3i were statistically significant (p<0.05). 3. When the screws were loosening 1, 3, 4 and 5 times, the loosening torque for Impla-med and 3i screws were significantly higher than that of Nobelpharma or Restore screws (p<0.05). However, when statistically smaller than that of 3i, Restore or Nobelpharma screws(p<0.05).

iGS를 이용한 모바일 로봇의 실내위치추정 알고리즘 (Localization Algorithm for a Mobile Robot using iGS)

  • As an absolute positioning system, iGS is designed based on ultrasonic signals whose speed can be formulated clearly in terms of time and room temperature, which is utilized for a mobile robot localization. The iGS is composed of an RFID receiver and an ultra-sonic transmitter, where an RFID is designated to synchronize the transmitter and receiver of the ultrasonic signal. The traveling time of the ultrasonic signal has been used to calculate the distance between the iGS system and a beacon which is located at a pre-determined location. This paper suggests an effective operation method of iGS to estimate position of the mobile robot working in unstructured environment. To expand recognition range and to improve accuracy of the system, two strategies are proposed: utilization of beacons belonging to neighboring blocks and removal of the environment-reflected ultrasonic signals. As the results, the ubiquitous localization system based on iGS as a pseudo-satellite system has been developed successfully with a low cost, a high update rate, and relatively high precision.

도토리에서 분리한 Dotorioside I, II의 구조 (Structures of Dotorioside I and II Obtained from the Fruits of Quercus acutissima $C_{ARRUTHERS}$)

  • From the methanolic extractive of the fruits of Quercus acutissima $C_{ARRUTHERS}$(Fagaceae) a mixture(QC-A saponin) of two ester glycosides, which were named as dotorioside I(3) and ll(4), was separated by silica gel column chromatography and HPLC. The structures of these two glycosides including their genuine aglycones(1,2) were elucidated as 1: $2{\alpha}$, $3{\beta}$, $19{\alpha}$, 23-tetrahydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid, 2: $2{\alpha}$, $3{\beta}$, $19{\alpha}$, 23-tetrahydroxyurs-12-en-28-oci acid, 3: 28-O-${\beta}$-D-glucopyranosyl ester of 1, 4: 28-O-${\beta}$-D-glucopyranosyl ester of 2, respectively, on the basis of chemical and spectral evidence.

한국인 위암 진단에 있어 혈청 펩시노겐과 혈청 가스트린 검사의 역할 (The Role of Serum Pepsinogen and Gastrin Test for the Detection of Gastric Cancer in Korea)

  • 위암 발생률이 높은 우리나라에서는 위암이 발생할 가능성이 높은 고위험군에서 위암 발생 여부를 알 수 있는 생물학적 인자(biological marker)의 개발이 매우 중요한데 가장 많이 연구되는 인자로 혈청 펩시노겐(Pepsinogen)이 있다. 이에 소화기질환을 가지고 있는 환자군과 건강검진센터 수진자를 대상으로 한두 가지 연구에서 혈청 펩시노겐 검사에 영향을 주는 인자를 알아보고 위축성 위염이나 위암 진단에 있어 혈청 펩시노겐 검사의 역할을 알아보았다. 혈청 펩시노겐 검사에 영향을 주는 인자로는 H. pylori 감염이 가장 컸고, 다음으로 성별, 연령이 있었다. 이를 고려한 결과 한국인에서의 내시경적 위축성 위염 진단에 있어서 PG I/II ratio 기준은 H. pylori 감염 여부에 따라 달랐는데 H. pylori 감염이 없는 경우는 PG I/II ratio 6이, H. pylori 감염이 있는 경우는 국제적 기준인 PG I/II ratio 3이 예민도와 민감도에서 우수했다. 또한 한국인에서의 위암이나 위축성 위염 진단에 있어 PG I이나 PG II는 별로 유용하지 않은 반면 PG I/II ratio는 비교적 유용함을 알 수 있었고, 특히 H. pylori 감염이 있는 경우 PG I/II ratio $\leq3$ 이하가 위암 발생위험도 예측에 도움이 되었다. 결과적으로 혈청 펩시노겐을 위암이나 위축성 위염 진단 biomarker로 사용할 때는 기존의 국제적인 기준도 중요하지만 각 나라의 현실에 맞는 기준치 적용을 위해 validation study를 시행하고 사용하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 보인다.

국내 다양한 미소환경에서의 계절별 초미세먼지 및 오존 실내·외 농도 비 (Seasonal Indoor-to-Outdoor Ratio (I/O Ratio) of Fine Particulate Matter and Ozone Concentrations in Various Microenvironments in South Korea)

  • Background: Exposure to fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and ozone (O3) poses potential health risks. The Indoor-to-Outdoor ratio (I/O ratio) is a valuable tool for understanding indoor air quality and identifying potential indoor sources. Objectives: The objective of this study was to determine I/O ratios of PM2.5 and O3 by different microenvironments and seasons in Korea. Methods: From December 2021 to November 2023, indoor concentrations of PM2.5 and O3 were monitored every hour in 13 microenvironments (residential indoor, office, school, restaurant, pub, café, study café, private educational institute, PC room, billiard room, screen golf center, supermarket, and shopping mall) in Korea. Hourly outdoor concentrations of PM2.5 and O3 were obtained from local air quality monitoring stations, provided by airkorea.or.kr. The hourly I/O ratio was calculated by the indoor and outdoor concentrations. Results: At the pub, billiard room, and PC room, the median PM2.5 I/O ratio exceeded 1 in all seasons, except in spring at the PC room (0.9), suggesting indoor smoking as a potential cause. The median PM2.5 I/O ratio at the restaurant exceeded 1 in winter, autumn, and summer, except for spring (0.9), indicating significant PM2.5 emission sources in the restaurant. The median O3 I/O ratio was below 0.5 in all seasons and microenvironments. Conclusions: This study provided useful data on relationships between indoor and outdoor pollution in various microenvironments by seasons. These I/O ratios could be applied for more accurate exposure assessment to protect health of human.

다양한 배양 조건에서 제대혈 유래 CD34+ 조혈 세포의 체외 증식 (Ex vivo Expansion of CD34+ Hematopoietic Cells from Cord Blood in Various Culture Environments)

  • 본 연구에서는 제대혈 유래의 조혈줄기세포를 효과적으로 배양하기 위한 선행 연구로서 세포 배양 환경에 따른 조혈줄기세포 증식능의 변화를 관찰하였다. 제대혈의 단핵구 세포에서 분리한 $CD34^+$ 세포를 성장인자 조성-I(이하, coc-I) (EPO, GM-CSF, SCF, IL-3) 및 성장인자 조성-II(이하, coc-II) (TPO, G-CSF, SCF, IL-6, Flt3/Flk-2 ligand)가 포함되어 있는 IMDM(Iscove's modified Dulbecco's medium) 및 무혈청 배지(serum free media, SFM)에서 배양하였으며, 우태아혈청(FBS)의 첨가 영향, 2차원 및 3차원 배양 후 각 조건에서의 세포 증식 및 콜로니 형성능을 비교하였다. 일반적으로 coc-I에서의 세포 증식 및 콜로니 증식이 coc-II에서보다 높았다. 3차원 배양(methocult)에서는 가장 높은 세포 증식($2,258{\pm}456$배)을 나타냈으며, 같은 조성의 2차원 배양(IMDM + coc-I + FBS)에서는 가장 높은 콜로니 증식(BFU-E: $652{\pm}19$, CFU-GM: $520{\pm}58$, CFU-GEMM: $339{\pm}100$배)이 나타났다. 배지를 기준으로 보면, coc-II 조성에 우태아혈청이 포함되지 않은 경우를 제외한 모든 경우에서 세포 증식 및 콜로니 증식이 무혈청 배지에서보다 IMDM에서 높았다. 결론적으로, 모든 배양 조건 중에서 'IMDM + coc-I + FBS' 및 'IMDM + coc-I'에서 가장 좋은 콜로니 증식을 보였으며, 우태아혈청의 첨가 및 2차원 배양 조건이 콜로니 증식에 더 효과적인 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구 결과는 앞으로 조혈줄기세포의 체외 증식에 필요한 공정개발이나 생물반응기 설계에 유용한 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

18-crown-6을 포함하는 poly(3-methylthiophene) 전도성 고분자 막전극에 의한 Ag(I)의 벗김 전압-전류법적 정량에 관한 연구 (A study on Stripping Voltammetric Determination of Ag(I) by Poly(3-methylthiophene) Conducting Polymer Film Electrode Containing 18-crown-6)

  • Poly(3-methylthiophene) 전도성 막전극을 이용해서 벗김 전압-전류법으로 Ag의 분석 가능성을 연구하였다. 막전극 표면에 존재하는 18-crown-6은 수용액에서 Ag(I)을 착화에 의해서 흡수하고 이 Ag(I)은 제한된 전위 범위의 순환 전압-전류법에 의해서 막전극 속으로 이동하여 유리질 탄소전극에서 산화-환원된다. 따라서 막전극은 Ag(I)의 침투를 용이하게 하기 위해서 적당한 두께의 다공성으로 제조되어야 한다. 이러한 실험 결과를 바탕으로 수용액에서 $5.0{\times}10^{-6}M$의 Ag(I)을 검출할 수 있었다.
