  • Streptomyces coeUc%r (Muller) cells were treated with $100 \mu$M hydrogen peroxide for I hour and proteins synthesized during hydrogen peroxide stress were labeled with L-[$^{35}S$]-methionine. Total cellular proteins were extracted and analyzed by two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. In exponential growth phase, synthesis of about 100 proteins was increased by hydrogen peroxide treatment. These proteins were named as Pin (£eroxide-inducib]e) proteins and classified into 4 subgroups according to their induction time after hydrogen peroxide treatment. About 60 of them were found to be induced within 20 minutes and maintained throughout I hour of treatment. In stationary growth phase. synthesis of 62 proteins was increased by hydrogen peroxide and 21 of them were the same Pins found in exponential growth phase. Proteins from the mutants which are resistant to hydrogen peroxide were obtained in exponential growth phase and compared with those from the wild type on two-dimensional gel. The three mutants, N7, N9. and N24, were found to have higher constitutive leve]s of ]5, 17, and 15 Pin proteins respectively, than the wild type. 9 of these Pin proteins (D74.7a, E76.0c, E23.3. F50.7, F47.2a. F25.5, G39.6b, G24.0, H39.6a) increased in two of the three mutants and 3 proteins (F39.7, H6I.7. 120.8) increased in all of the three mutants. These proteins might play important roles in the response of S. coelic%r to hydrogen peroxide.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare the clinical and radiological outcomes of two surgical treatments, transacromial pin fixation and hook plate fixation, for unstable distal clavicle fractures. Materials and Methods: Twenty four patients with Neer type II distal clavicle fractures who underwent surgery with transacromial pin fixation (Group I: 12 patients) and hook plate fixation (Group II: 12 patients) were included. Reduction and union were evaluated using plain radiographs. Functional evaluation was performed according to UCLA score and Constant-Murley score at last follow-up. Results: All 24 cases showed bone union. Complete union took an average of 10 weeks for group I and 11.7 weeks for group II. Average UCLA score was 33 (group I) and 32.8 (group II). Average Constant score was 88.5 (group I) and 88.8 (group II). No significant difference for each variable was observed between the two groups. Conclusion: For the surgical treatment of Neer type II distal clavicle fractures, transacromial pin fixation and hook plate fixation are both useful methods.

  • This paper represents the development of high sensitivity photo-sensor for the fluorescence detection in the integrated biological analysis system. The finger-type PIN photodiodes were fabricated as the photo-sensor, and had a high sensitivity ($I_{light}/I_{dark}$ = 8720). The interference filter consisted of $TiO_{2}$ and $SiO_{2}$ was directly deposited on the photodiodes. Deposited filter with 95.5% reflection under 532 nm and 98% transmission over 580 nm exceedingly decreased the magnitude of background signal in the detection. The PDMS micro-fluidic channels are bonded on the photodiode by $O_{2}$ plasma treatment. The detection current was proportional to two primary parameters (light intensity, concentration), and the on-chip detection system could detect fluorescence signals down to 100 nM concentration (LOD = Limit of detection of rhodamine).

  • Recently by the privacy & data security law, when a user registers the online membership, we need to take action to check a progress of identification without resident registration number. On the most of websites, I-PIN is used by identification instead of the resident registration number. However, I-PIN causes dangerous situations if someone steals the ID and a password, the personal data can be easy to exposure. In this paper, we propose the OTP, which can solve all these problems by guaranteeing the identification of unlinkability. This type of method would help the process of membership registration without fixed data like ID and a password in online so it would be very useful to security of private data.

  • OEIC(Optoelectronic Integrated Circuit)'s can be integrated horizontally or vertically. Horizontal integration approach is, however, more immune to parasitic and more universally applicable. In this paper, a structural modeling, fabrication and characterization of PIN photodiodes which can be used in the horizontal integration are performed. For device modeling, we build a transmission line model from 2-D device simulation, from which lumped model parameters are extracted. The speed limits of the PIN photodiodes can also be calculated under various structural conditions from the model. Thus optimum design of horizontally integrated PIN photodiodes for high speed operation are possible. Such InGaAs/InP PIN photodiodes for long-wavelength communications are fabricated using pit etch, epi growth, planarization, diffusion and metallization processes. Planarization process using both RIE and wet etching and diffusion process using evaporated Zn$_{3}P_{2}$ film are developed. Characterization of the fabricated devices is performed through C-V and I-V measurements. At a reserve bias of 10V, the dark current is less than 5nA and capacitance is about 0.4pF. The calculated bandwidth using the measured series resistance and capacitance is about 4.23GHz.

  • In this paper, we propose a fuse controller which is used for storing the optimal value or the correction value for the surrounding product of the IoT applications and it is implemented serial communication circuit using a single pin. Because of the proposed single pin protocol is simpler in the hardware than the conventional $I^2C$ and SPI using two or more pins, it is suitable for the area of small amount of data transmission. The function of the one pin protocol is verified by logic simulation and the FPGA test board and it is fabricated using CMOS 0.35um technology. It is expected to use the IoT product that require the low power consumption and simple hardware.

  • We describe the design, fabrication, and performance of the optical fiber-photodiode 1$\times$12 arry module using mesa-type InS10.53T GaS10.47TAS/INP 1$\times$12 PIN photodiode array. We fabricated the PIN PD array for high-speed optical fiber parallel data link optimizing quantum efficiency, operating speed sensitivity from the PIN-FET structure, and electrical AC crosstalk. For each element of the array, the diameter of the photodetective area is 80 $\mu$m, the diameter of the p-metal pad is 90 $\mu$m, and the photodiode seperation is 250 $\mu$m to use Si v-groove. Ground conductor line is placed around diodes and p-metal pads are formed in zigzag to reduce Ac capacitance coupling between array elements. The dark current (IS1dT) is I nA and the capacitance(CS1pDT) is 0.9 pF at -5 V. No signifcant variations of IS1dT and CPD from element to element in the array were observed. We calulated the coupling efficiency for 10/125 SMF and 50/125 GI MMF, and measured the responsivity of the PD array at the wavelength is 1.55 $\mu$ m. Responsivities are 0.93 A/W for SMF and 0.96 A/W for MMF. The optical fiber-PD array module is useful in numerous high speed digital and analog photonic system applications.
