치과 내원환자들의 치과위생사에 대한 인식도가 치과위생사의 사회적 요구도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Dental Patients' Perception about Dental Hygienist on the Social Demand of Dental Hygienist)

  • 부산, 경남 지역 성인의 일반적 특성과 치과이용 특성에 대해 조사하였고, 치과위생사에 대한 인식도와 요구도를 파악하여 분석함으로써 바람직한 치과위생사의 정체성 확립에 이바지 하고 치과위생사의 발전 방안을 모색하는데 기초자료를 제공할 목적으로 조사되었다. 이에 임의로 선정한 부산, 경남 지역의 성인 300명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 일반적 특성, 치과이용 특성, 치과위생사에 대한 인식도와 요구도간의 연관성을 조사 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 치과위생사에 대한 명칭을 인식하고 있는 대상자는 69.8%였으며, 치과위생사의 교육과정은 대부분 전문대 70.5%로 인식하고 있었다. 치과위생사를 구별하는 방법은 42.5%로 복장(가운, 명찰)을 보고 판단하는 경우가 가장 많았다. 치과위생사를 간호사로 호칭을 부르는 경우 27.6%로 가장 많았으며, 치과의료기관을 방문했을 때 치과위생사로부터 받아본 서비스를 복수응답으로 물었을 때 예방업무 58.2%가 가장 많았다. 2. 치과위생사에 대한 인식도를 척도형으로 조사했을 때 이미지 요인은 '전문직이다'가 가장 높았고, 역할 요인은 '환자의 문제를 잘 파악하여 치료의 과정, 결과, 효과에 대해서 말해준다'가 가장 높았으며, 지식 요인은 '병원 서비스에 대한 친절 교육을 받는다'는 인식이 가장 높게 나타났다. 3. 치과위생사에 대한 요구도를 척도형으로 조사했을 때 이미지 요인은 '친절하면 좋겠다'가 가장 높았고, 역할 요인은 '업무전문성과 숙련도가 좋았으면 좋겠다'가 가장 높았으며, 지식 요인은 '치과치료에 필요한 주기적인 교육을 받으면 좋겠다'가 가장 높게 나타났다. 4. 50대가 치과위생사의 역할에 대한 인식도가 가장 높았으며, 20대, 대학교졸, 전문직이 치과위생사의 지식에 대한 인식도가 가장 높았다. 학생이 치과위생사의 이미지, 역할에 대한 요구도는 학생이 가장 높았으며, 주부가 치과위생사의 지식에 대한 요구도가 가장 높게 나타났다. 5. 종합병원이 치과위생사의 이미지에 대한 인식도가 가장 높았으며, 방문횟수 10회 이상이 치과위생사의 역할에 대한 인식도가 가장 높았고, 자가치료, 구강건강 관심도 '매우 많은 편이다' 가 치과위생사의 지식에 대한 인식도는 가장 높았다. 자가치료가 치과위생사의 이미지, 역할, 지식에 대한 요구도는 가장 높았고, 방문횟수 5~9회가 치과위생사의 이미지에 대한 요구도는 가장 높게 나타났다. 6. 치과위생사의 역할(${\beta}$=0.273)에 대한 인식도가 증가하면 이미지에 대한 요구도가 증가하고, 치과위생사의 이미지(${\beta}$=-0.144)에 대한 인식도가 증가하면 이미지에 대한 요구도는 감소한다. 치과위생사의 역할(${\beta}$=0.228), 지식(${\beta}$=0.205)에 대한 인식도가 증가하면 역할에 대한 요구도가 증가하고, 이미지(${\beta}$=-0.137)에 대한 인식도가 증가하면 이미지에 대한 요구도는 감소한다. 치과위생사의 지식(${\beta}$=0.224)에 대한 인식도가 증가하면 지식에 대한 요구도도 증가한다.

치과위생사의 진료실 감염방지에 대한 행태 분석 (The Analysis of the Prevention against Virus Infection in Dental Hygienist at Medical Treatment)

  • 1. 조사 대상자는 총 128명으로 연령은 24세~28세가 71.1%(91명)으로 가장 많았으며, 임상경력은 2년~5년 사이가 36.7%(47명) 우세하게 나타났으며 일 진료환자수는 56.3%(72명)가 25명 이하이고, 대부분 치과위생사수가 3명 이하인 치과의원에 근무하는 것으로 조사되었다. 2. 감염노출 행태 및 감염방지처치실태는 응답자의 76.6%(98명)가 날카로운 기구나 주사바늘에 찔린 경험이 있으며 대부분이 즉시 소독하는 방법으로 감염방지 처치를 하며 진료시 감염은 경험하지 않은 것으로 조사되었다. 3. 감염방지교육 실태에 대한 조사결과 응답자의 75.8%(97명)가 감염관리에 대한 이론과 시술법에 대한 교육경험이있는 것으로 응답하였으며 89.1%(114명)가 병원의 감염 관리에 대한 교육이 필요하다고 생각하며 학생시절(49.2%, 63명)에 학교교육을 통해서(45.3%,58명) 경험하였으며 응답자의 81.3%(104명)가 감염방지교육의 확대를 주장하고 있는 것으로 나타나 학교교육을 통해서 뿐만 아니라 지속적인 보수교육이 필요하다고 판단된다. 4. 치과위생사의 감염방지 행태분석결과 의료용 장갑을 사용하는 비율은 24세~28세의 임상경력이 5년~10년이면서 치과병원에 근무하는 치과위생사일수록 높았으며 진료 후 대부분이 폐기하며 진료시 마스크를 착용하는 비율은 29세, 임상경력이 10년 이상의 경우에서 높게 나타났으며 근무하는 병원규모에 상관없이 높게 나타났으며 진료시 마스크 습기가 찰 경우 대부분이 교체하는 것으로 나타났다. 5. 환자진료시 보안경사용 및 기구세척 과 재처리시 고무장갑을 사용하는가에 대한 조사 결과 보안경을 사용하는 비율은 나이, 임상경력, 근무하는 병원규모에 상관없이 낮은 것으로 나타났으며 대부분이 기구세척과 재처리시 고무장갑을 사용하는 것으로 나타났다. 6. 진료감염방지 교육 경험자와 비경험자에 대한 진료시 감염방지행위의 차이를 분석하기 위하여 각종 감염방지행태 항목을 변수로 하여 독립표본 T검증(Independent -sample T Test)을 실시한 결과 대부분의 항목에서 진료감염방지 교육을 경험한 치과위생사가 진료시 감염방지 행위를 잘하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 7. 진료 시 의료용 장갑을 사용 및, 진료 후 의료용 장갑폐기, 기구세척 및 재처리시 두꺼운 가사용 고무장갑 사용의 항목에서 두집단 간에 유의수준 0.05, 0.01에서 각각 의미 있는 차이가 있었으며 나머지 3개 항목은 유의수준 0.05에서 의미 있는 차이를 보이지 않았다. "진료시 마스크 사용"에 대한 항목에서는 두집단 간에 큰 차이를 보이지 않았는데 이는 감염방지교육과 상관없이 진료시 기본필수사항으로 인식하기 때문인 것으로 판단된다.

치과위생사의 근속의사에 관한 측정도구 개발 (Development of scale of long-term employment intention for dental hygienist)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to develop a survey instrument to assess intention to stay for dental hygienists based on validity and reliability. Methods: A survey was conducted targeting 317 dental hygienists in dental clinics. The data was used for the analysis of the study, using PASW Statistics 20.0 and IBM SPSS AMOS 18.0. Results: The preliminary instrument includes 44 item. 22 items were excluded by variable analysis. 17 final items was selected by exploratory factor analysis (EFA). The confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was composed of four elements, 'organization fit', 'interpersonal relationship', 'identity', and 'job connectivity'. Conclusions: The validity and reliability of measurement tool for dental hygienist's intention to stay was proved. It could be used to help dental hygienist's long-term employment.

일부지역 치과위생사의 의료관광에 관한 인식 조사 (A recognition study on tourism of dental hygienist in parts areas)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to suggest an effective future development direction of dental medical tourism in Korea by examining dental hygienists' perception of medical tourism and factors which are necessary to boost medical tourism. Methods : The subjects in this study were the dental hygienists who worked in Seoul. The study was conducted on 189 people who participated in refresher training, which was held in November 2010, by the Seoul Dental Hygienist Association. Self-administered questionnaire surveys were used. Results : 1. 106 people (56.1%) responded that medical tourism is "a tour to treat illness" and 73 (39.5%) responded that the introduction of medical tourism is "timely." 2. opposition against the introduction of medical tourism accounted for the highest proportion (61.6%) and the reason for it was "concern for mushrooming of untested types of medical treatment." 3. 131 people (71.6%) responded that they are willing to participate in medical treatment of medical tourism and 172 (93.0% of participants) cited "communication" as a most difficult issue. 4. Those who recognized medical tourism proved to have higher intentions to invest time and money to prepare for it (p<.002). Conclusions : In order to boost medical tourism, a unified treatment program for foreigners and training program for medical staff throughout the hospitals should be established.

치과의료서비스에 대한 환자만족 영향원인 -경남 일부 지역 치과의원을 중심으로- (Factors Affecting Patient Satisfaction of Dental Services Organizations)

  • The main objective of this study is to investigate the factors affecting patient satisfaction, repeat-use intention, and inducement intention for providing the suggestion for patient-oriented management of dental services organizations. For this study, the patient satisfaction model including 14 facets of satisfaction factors such as distance(time/location), human services(dentist-hygienist), treatment results, and facilities(convenient facilities/parking lot) was examined. Data were collected from 196 patients who visiting the same dental services organization more than two times of ten dental clinics at Kyeongsangnam-do area using self-administered questionnaire. Major results of the empirical analysis are as follows: First, patient satisfaction, repeat-use intention, and inducement intention were significantly correlated with gender, age, economic conditions among patients of dental clinics. Second, kindness of hygienist, treatment results, kindness of receptionist, waiting time, emergency medical services, and right-fee for services were found to have significant influence on dental services organizations. These research findings suggest that improvement of service quality in dental care and advancement in treatment ability of dentist and hygienist are very important to improve patient satisfaction and patient-oriented service system in dental services organizations.

치과위생사의 내적·외적만족과 조직몰입도의 관련성 (The correlation between the internal·external satisfaction and organizational commitment of dental hygienist)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to provide a basic set of data on the correlation relationship between the internal external satisfaction and organizational commitment of dental hygienist. Methods: The research subjects were a total 264 numbers of dental hygienists in Busan and Gyeongnam. The study was conducted from July 1 to August 30, 2016. Structured questionnaires were used for analysis. The collected data was analyzed using IBM SPSS. Statistics 20.0. Results: Job satisfaction according to general characteristics showed high internal satisfaction and external satisfaction in age and prime duty, and internal satisfaction in career. The factors affecting organizational commitment were sub-factors of job satisfaction, external satisfaction and internal satisfaction. Conclusions: The atmosphere composition must be to improve that in the dental clinic, the dental hygienist's scope of work, autonomy, and sense of accomplishment through job the organizational commitment of the dental hygienists. This should be supported by the effective management of human resources, salary structure and the improvement of the system.

Influence of Dental Hygienist's Job Satisfaction, Psychological Ownership, and Job Engagement on Job Performance

  • Background: This study is to identify the factors that affect job satisfaction, psychological ownership, and job engagement of dental hygienists on job performance and use them as basic data for manpower management of dental hygienists. Methods: The survey was conducted by 344 clinical dental hygienists working in dental medical institutions. The collected data is PASW Statistics ver. 20.0 was used to analyze. Results: The job satisfaction level of the dental hygienist was 3.38±0.52, and the question that 'I feel that my ability to solve problems has improved compared to the past.' was 3.92±0.80. There were significant differences in job satisfaction, psychological ownership, and job engagement according to general characteristics in age, marriage, education, career, current work experience, and position. There were significant differences in job performance according to general characteristics in age, marriage, education, career, current work experience, position, and number of dental hygienists. Factors influencing job performance were practical activities, income, patient relations, absorption, vigor, dedication, and the number of dental hygienists. Conclusion: Finding different ways to use psychological ownership and job engagement through the job satisfaction of a dental hygienist, and to and to utilize it as basic data for efficient manpower management through job performance.

치과위생사의 직무만족에 관한 측정도구 개발 (Development of job satisfaction scale for dental hygienist)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to develop a dental hygienist's job satisfaction scale and to evaluate its validity and reliability. Methods: A total of 34 preliminary questions were composed based on the components commonly defined in previous studies and in-depth interviews. Results: The results of the study were practice activity, professional satisfaction, income, working conditions, patient relations, and co-worker relations using the exploratory factor analysis. Goodness of fit of the model assessed using confirmatory factor analysis generally met the criteria. On verification of the internal consistency, the Cronbach's alpha for the factors were as follows: 0.821 for practice activity, 0.822 for professional satisfaction, 0.847 for income, 0.765 for working condition, 0.743 for patient relations, and 0.747 for co-worker relations, which implied that the measurement tool was reliable. Through exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, a total of 24 items for six factors: six items for practice activity factors, four items for professional satisfaction, three items for income, four items for working conditions, three items for patient relationships, and three items for coworker relations. Conclusions: Based on the aforementioned results, the validity and reliability of the dental hygienist's job satisfaction measurement tool were satisfactory. Thus, it may be used for assessing the job satisfaction of the dental hygienists in future.

치위생(학)과 학생의 전공만족도와 전문직관 연구 (Satisfaction with Major and View of Profession among Dental Hygiene Students)

  • 본 연구는 치위생교육을 통해 형성된 치위생(학)과 학생의 전공만족도와 전문직관 정도를 파악하고 상관관계를 분석하여 치위생전문직관 형성교육에 필요한 자료를 제공하기 위해 조사하여 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 치위생(학)과 학생의 전공만족도는 인식만족이 가장 높았으며, 교과만족이 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 2. 전공만족도는 3.51점으로 나타났으며, 성적이 높은 학생일수록, 종합병원 및 대학병원에 취업을 원하는 학생일수록 전공만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다(p<0.01, p<0.05). 3. 치위생(학)과 학생의 전문직관은 치위생의 독자성이 가장 높았으며, 사회적 인식이 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 4. 전문직관은 3.48점으로 나타났으며, 성적이 높은 학생일수록 전문직관이 높은 것으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 5. 전공만족도와 전문직관의 관계는 전공만족도가 높을수록 전문직관이 높은 것으로 나타났다(p<0.001). 결론적으로 치위생(학)과 학생들의 긍정적인 전문직관의 확립을 위해 전공만족도를 높일 수 있도록 학생들의 학업성취도 향상과 졸업 후 취업에 대한 비젼을 제시할 수 있는 다양한 노력이 필요하다고 사료된다.

치과위생사의 예방처치업무행태가 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (The effects of behavior of preventive treatment on job satisfaction in dental hygienist)

  • Objectives : The author has studied the effects of behavior of preventive treatment on job satisfaction in dental hygienist. Methods : The hygienists who had worked from June 27th to August 1st in 2011 were explained about this research objectives and only the hygienists who agreed with this research participation were conducted a self-administered Questionnaire survey and the results were collected immediately. The collected questionnaire was 297, but the final 250 questionnaire were decided as a target except for the trustless ones. This analysis was extracted using SPSS(SPSS 12.0 for windows, SPSS Inc, Chicago, USA). Results : 1. Preventive treatment of dental hygienist was shown as this order - Educational needs 4.25, Importance 4.12, Usefulness 4.09, Perform 3.42. Job satisfaction was reached the moderate level. 2. Analysis of preventive treatment of hygienist was shown as this order - Basic brushing education 4.72 was ranked the highest, Taking patient history and Incremental dental health care 4.58 was held the second place. Dental caries activity tests 3.30 was shown the lowest figures. Response of preventive treatment conducting was like this order - Taking patient history 4.30, Dental prophylaxis 4.28, Basic brushing education 4.11, Incremental dental health care 4.04. Dental caries activity tests 2.05 was shown the lowest figures. 3. General characteristics in behavior of preventive treatment was resulted in this case that the respondents who have worked for less one year in current job than the ones who have worked for more than five years was shown such a low level, this was taken as a meaningful difference.(p=0.008) 4. It was shown that the higher fulfillment of preventive treatment(${\beta}$=0.340, p<0.001) and the greater earnings(${\beta}$=0.194, p=0.001) and usefulness of preventive treatment(${\beta}$=0.130, p=0.042), the higher job satisfaction. Conclusions : Considering these results, environment where the hygienists can concentrate on preventive treatment which is their proper job should be built up as soon as possible. And through this environment, the atmosphere where hygienists, as oral health professionals, can play a role to improve the oral health of the people by boosting job satisfaction should be created. Also It is thought that an institutional, actual improvement-changing the social awareness towards hygienists and dentists, the recognition of scope of the hygienists' work - should be established urgently.
