The concurrence of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in a single tumor is rarely encountered. We report a case of BCC and SCC in a single tumor in the anterior auricular area. A 70-year-old woman had been diagnosed with BCC by a punch biopsy performed at a dermatology clinic. We performed wide excision of the tumor with an ulcer in the anterior auricular area. Analysis of the biopsy specimen revealed the presence of both BCC and SCC in the tumor. This case illustrates that it is necessary to establish a precise diagnosis and formulate appropriate surgical and treatment plans considering the possibility that two carcinomas may coexist, although the possibility is low in patients with skin cancer.

We isolated cellulose-producing bacteria from persimmon vinegar(Korea traditional fermentation food). Some of these strains were selected for cellulose production in agitation culture. On the other hand, it was also found that strains suitable for static culture production were not necessarily suitable for agitation culture. Therefore we estimated the cellulose production of these isolates in static culture. To determine nutritional requirement for the production of bacterial cellulose, several nutrients as carbon source, nitrogen and mineral salt were tested.

The objective of this article is to investigate from what kind of disease Queen Inhyun(仁顯王后) died through the clinical records written in Seungjeongwon Ilgi("承政院日記"). The method to do this study was to search the records of Seungjeongwon Ilgi("承政院日記") from Sukjong 26th year to 27th year on the website databased and serviced by National Institute of Korean History. The results was as follows. According to the website search, Queen Inhyun(仁顯王后) suffered from purulent coxarthritis for one and a half year. As time passed by, the lesion of disease spread to her abdomen and heart. Finally, she died of difficulty in breathing.

본고에서는 모바일 증강현실의 새로운 연구 방향으로 맥락인지 모바일 증강현실(CAMAR 2.0)을 제시하고 이를 반영한 응용을 소개한다. CAMAR 2.0은 사용자, 환경, 사회적 관계등을 포함한 통합맥락 정보를 활용하여 다양한 크기의 실내/외 객체에 증강 콘텐츠를 이음매 없이 정합하고, 사용자들의 직관적인 콘텐츠 저작과 선택적 공유를 통해 지속발전 가능한 증강현실 생태계를 구성할 수 있게 한다. CAMAR 2.0 개념의 이해를 돕기 위해 이전 모바일 증강현실 응용과 비교하고, 미술관/박물관 시나리오를 통해 필요 기술을 설명한다.

ZnO-based SAW(surface acoustic wave) filters are fabricated with the configuration of IDT/ZnO/$SiO_2$/Si(100) using various IDT materials such as Al, Cu/Ti, and Cu/Al. Their frequency response characteristics are measured and compared. The thickness of Al IDT is varied to examine the mass loading effect. In addition, effects of thermal treatment and electrical stress on the frequency responses of the fabricated SAW filters are investigated.

In this paper we propose a variance function estimation method for replicated data based on averages of squared residuals obtained from estimated mean function by the least squares support vector machine. Newton-Raphson method is used to obtain associated parameter vector for the variance function estimation. Furthermore, the cross validation functions are introduced to select the hyper-parameters which affect the performance of the proposed estimation method. Experimental results are then presented which illustrate the performance of the proposed procedure.

기존 할로겐프리 제품은 PVC와 비교하여 유연성이 크게 떨어져 PVC 사용에 대한 규제가 강화되고 있음에도 불구하고, 이를 쉽게 대체하기 곤란하다는 문제점이 있다. 이에 할로겐프리 재료만 사용하여 고난연성, 예를 들면 UL 1581 에 따른 VW-1 규정을 충족하는 고난연성을 가지면서도 경도가 낮아(경도 70수준, Shore A) 재질의 유연성이 확보된 고분자 재료를 개발하는 것이 요구된다. 실험 결과로부터 인장강도 11[Mpa], 신장율 720[%], 가열후 인장강도 잔율 90[%], 가열후 신장잔율 88[%], 산소지수 38.0, 수직난연시험 합격, 경도(Shore A) 70, 백화현상이 나타나지 않는 등 우수한 특성을 보였다.

The depth of the object pointed by the laser beam is computed depending on the pixel position on the CCD There involved several number of internal and external parameters such as inter-pixel distance, focal length, position and orientation of the system components in the depth measurement error. In this paper, it is shown through the error sensitivity analysis of the parameters that the most important parameters in the sense of error sources are the angle of the laser beam and the inter pixel distance. Also, the calibration technique to minimize their effect for the depth computation is proposed.

Forming Community is important to manage and provide the service in Ubiquitous Environments including embedded tiny computers. Community Computing is that members constitute the community and cooperate. A mutual exclusion problem occurs when many processors try to use one resource and race condition happens. In the expanded concept, a group mutual exclusion problem is that processors in the same group can share the resource but processors in different groups cannot share. As mutual exclusion problems might be in community computing environments, we propose algorithm which improves the execution speed using RMS (resource management service). In this paper describes proposed algorithm and proves its performance by experiments, comparing proposed algorithm with previous method using quorum-based algorithm.
