과잉 Zr을 첨가한 MmNi4.5Mn0.5Zrx(x=0, 0.025, 0.05, 0.1) 합금의 수소용기 적용에 관한 연구 (Study on the Application for Hydrogen Storage Tank of MmNi4.5Mn0.5Zrx(x=0, 0.025, 0.05, 0.1) Alloys Containing Excess Zr)

  • In order to improve the hydrogen storage capacity and the activation properties of the hydrogen storage alloys, the rare-earth metal alloy series, MmN $i_{4.5}$M $n_{0.5}$Z $r_{x}$(x=0, 0.025, 0.05, 0.1), are prepared by adding excess Zr in MmN $i_{4.5}$M $n_{0.5}$ alloy. The various parts in hydrogen storage vessel consisted of copper pipes reached the setting temperature within 4~5 minutes after heat addition, which indicated that storage vessel had a good heat conductivity required in application. The performance test on storage vessel filled with rare-earth metal alloys of 1000 gr was also conducted after hydrogen charging for 10 min at $18^{\circ}C$ under 10 atm. It showed that the average capacity of discharged hydrogen volume was found to be for $MmNi_{4.5}$ $Mn_{0.5}$ and $MmNi_{4.5}$ $Mn_{x}$ 0.5/$Zr_{samples}$ indicated that the released amount of hydrogen for this $AB_{5}$ type alloys was more than 92 % of theoretic value, and also it was found that the optimum discharging temperature for obtaining an appropriate pressure of 3 atm was determined to be $V^{\circ}C$ for $MmNi_{4.5}$ $Mn_{0.5}$$Zr_{x}$(x=0, 0.025, 0.05, 0.1) hydrogen storage alloys. The released amount of these hydrogen storage samples was 125 $\ell$ , 122.4 $\ell$ and 108.15 $\ell$/kg for $MmNi_{4.5}$ $Mn_{0.5}$ $Zr_{0.025}$ $MmNi_{4.5}$M $n_{0.5}$Z $r_{0.05}$, and MmN $i_{4.5}$ Mn_0.5$Zr_{0}$, at $70^{\circ}C$ respectively. Amount of the 2nd phases increase with increase on Zr contents in $MmNi_{4.5}$$Mn_{0.5}$ $Zr_{ 0.1}$/ alloy. This phenomenon indicates that$ ZrNi_3$ in $MmNi_{4.5}$ $Mn_{0.5}$ $Zr_{x}$ / phase, which shows the maximum storage capacity and the strong resistance to intrinsic degradation, is considered as a proper alloy for hydrogen storage. As the Zr contents increase, the activation time and the plateau pressure decreases and sloping of the plateau pressure increases.creases.eases.s.

대규모 아파트 단지주변 하수관로의 악취 발생과 대책 1: 주거지역 하수관로의 악취 발생 특성 (The Foul Smelling from Sewer Pipe near Large Apartment Complexes and its Countermeasures I: Characteristics of the Foul-Smelling Sewer Pipe in Residential Areas)

  • This study intends to investigate the characteristics of the foul smell of sewer pipes near large apartment complexes as complaints about offensive odors have drastically increased in urban residential areas. Targeting apartments where people actually complained about foul orders, the study result revealed that components in the smell of the water-purifier tank of the target apartment were very similar to those of sewage treatment plants and night soil treatment plants. Measuring components of odors inside the management layer of tank showed that the concentration of hydrogen sulfide was 10ppm, which is approximately 160 times the safety standard of 0.06ppm; the concentration of mercaptan was 0.9ppm, which is about 220 times the safety standard of 0.004ppm. The source materials of foul odors were discharged outside through ducts, and those households living near outlets producing bad smell complain that it gets worse depending on the air pressure or wind direction and strength, and they could not even open windows. As well, these source materials were transferred by discharge pumps to public sewer pipes outside the apartment complex. While discharge pumps starts operating, they remain on the sewer pipe and then begin to spread over to roads through small openings of manholes on the road. Then, the smell offends passers-by and residents near the road, leading to a lot of complaints. The study results suggest that, among the sources of foul odors in sewer pipes of residential areas, especially those from the water-purifier tank of large apartments, hydrogen sulfide should be the main target for follow-up treatment.

수소연료탱크용 복합소재 압력용기에 관한 강도안전성 평가연구 (Strength Safety Evaluation of Composite Pressure Container for Hydrogen Fuel Tanks)

  • 본 논문은 104L의 저장용량과 70MPa의 사용압력을 갖는 수소연료탱크용 복합소재 압력용기에 관한 강도안전성을 해석한 평가연구이다. 탄소섬유 복합용기의 내측은 6061-T6의 알루미늄 라이너를 사용하고, 외경측은 원주방향을 따라서 탄소섬유 후프층을 형성하고, 또한 $12^{\circ}C$ 적층과 $70^{\circ}C$ 적층을 헤리컬방향으로 경사지게 감아서 제작하였다. 복합소재 연료탱크의 강도안전성에 대한 FEM 해석결과는 US DOT-CFFC와 KS B ISO 11119-2 규정에 따라 평가되었다. FEM 해석결과에 의하면, 104L의 복합용기로 제시된 설계모델을 US DOT-CFFC와 KS B ISO 11119-2 기준으로 평가할 때 모두 안전하다할 수 있다. 그렇지만, 탄소섬유 연료탱크에 대한 계산결과는 한국의 평가기준을 사용하기보다는 미국의 안전기준을 적용하는 것이 더 안전하다는 해석결과를 알 수 있다. 따라서 70MPa의 수소연료 압력용기의 강도안전성을 충분히 확보하기 위해서는 미국의 DOT-CFFC 안전기준에 의거 평가하고 설계하는 것이 바람직하다.

  • The high pressure hydrogen gas refueling system is required for fuel cell vehicle. In this paper, a commercial computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code, FLUENT is adopted to investigate the gas flow characteristics inside the check valve for various refueling and tank pressures. The results showed that the choking phenomena can occur for certain refueling pressures, therefore refueling processes should be divided by multiple stages. And a design method to prevent the seal departure problem which reported in CNG usages is required.

  • This study is a research to compare efficiency of new cooling system (chiller, pre-cooler) to that of the conventional system at the hydrogen refueling station (HRS). This study includes contents for thermodynamic comparison of cooling system for HRS and comparison of pros and cons of its components. So It is to establish design concept of cooling system of HRS supplying with fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV). HRS is charging high pressure H2 (700 bar) to FCEV. However cooling system is need to prevent temperature rise in tank. This cooling system consists of pre-cooler and chiller system.

  • CNG 저장용기 재료인 SA-372 강에 대해 수소취화 영향을 조사하기 위한 시험을 수행하였으며 대기조건과 불활성 가스인 아르곤 그리고 CNG, HCNG 및 수소가스에 대해 35 MPa로 가압된 가스분위기에서 인장시험이 이루어 졌다. 또한 인장시험 속도는 4*10^-4 /s와 4*10^-5/s로 각각 설정하였다. 분위기 가스를 고압으로 유지한 상태에서 시험하기 위해 가압형 오토크레이버가 장착된 인장시험기를 사용하였다. 시험 결과 불활성 가스와 CNG 분위기에서는 대기조건의 인장강도, 연신률 및 단면수축률과 거의 유사한 특성을 보였으며 인장속도의 변화에 대해서도 큰 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 30% 수소가 혼합된 수소혼합가스와 100% 수소 조건에서 인장강도는 큰 차이를 나타나지 않았지만 연신율과 단면 수축률에서는 눈에 띄는 변화가 있었다. 이로부터 수소가스의 취화효과는 수소가 포함된 조건에서 확인할 수 있었으며 수소농도가 높을수록 연신율과 단면수축률 변화가 크게 나타났다. 또한 인장 속도가 느릴수록 수소취화가 더 많이 나타나는 것으로 확인되었다.

  • In the hope of realizing carbon neutrality, Korea has established the goal of expanding the supply of hydrogen electric vehicles through a roadmap to revitalize the hydrogen economy. A prerequisite for successful supply expansion is securing the safety of hydrogen electric vehicles. Certain parts, such as the hydrogen transport pipe and tank, in hydrogen electric vehicles are exposed to high-pressure hydrogen gas over long periods of time, so the hydrogen enters the grain boundary of material, resulting in a degradation of the parts referred to as hydrogen embrittlement. In addition, since the safety of parts utilizing hydrogen varies depending on the type of material used and its environmental characteristics, the necessity for the enactment of a hydrogen embrittlement regulation has emerged and is still being discussed as a Global Technical Regulation (GTR). In this paper, we analyze a hydrogen compatibility material evaluation method discussed in GTR and present a direction for the development of Korean-type hydrogen compatibility material evaluation methods.

필라멘트 와인딩 공법을 적용한 타입 IV 수소 압력용기 설계 연구 (A Study on Design of Type IV Hydrogen Pressure Vessels with Filament Winding Method)

  • 본 연구에서는 필라멘트 와인딩 공법을 적용한 Type 4 압력용기의 설계를 수행하였다. 수소저장용 탱크의 설계인 점을 고려하여 누설을 방지하기 위해 라이너는 고분자 고밀도 폴리에틸렌(HDPE)을 적용하였고 복합재 구조는 카본/에폭시를 Hoop 방향과 Helical 방향으로 적층하여 설계하였다. 이론적 접근으로 Helical 섬유의 각도와 Hoop, Helical 각각의 섬유 두께를 결정하여 설계하였다. 설계에 대한 안전성은 상용소프트웨어인 ANSYS를 활용하여 유한요소 해석으로 검증하였다.

  • Hydrogen could be produced from any substance containing hydrogen atoms, such as water, hydrocarbon (HC) fuels, acids or bases. Hydrocarbon fuels couold be converted to hydrogen-rich gas through reforming process for hydrogen production. Even though fuel cell have high efficiency with pure hydrogen from gas tank, it is more beneficial to generate hydrogen from city gas (mainly methane) in residential application such as domestic or office environments. Thus hydrogen is generated by reforming process using hydrocarbon. Unfortunately, the reforming process for hydrogen production is accompanied with unavoidable impurities. Impurities such as CO, $CO_2$, $H_2S$, $NH_3$, and $CH_4$ in hydrogen could cause negative effects on fuel cell performance. Those effects are kinetic losses due to poisoning of electrode catalysts, ohmic losses due to proton conductivity reduction including membrane and catalyst ionomer layers, and mass transport losses due to degrading catalyst layer structure and hydrophobic property. Hydrogen produced from reformer eventually contains around 73% of $H_2$, 20% or less of $CO_2$, 5.8% of less of $N_2$, or 2% less of $CH_4$, and 10ppm or less of CO. Most impurities are removed using pressure swing adsorption (PSA) process to get high purity hydrogen. However, high purity hydrogen production requires high operation cost of reforming process. The effect of carbon dioxide on fuel cell performance was investigated in this experiment. The performance of PEM fuel cell was investigated using current vs. potential experiment, long run (10 hr) test, and electrochemical impedance measurement when the concentrations of carbon dioxide were 10%, 20% and 30%. Also, the concentration of impurity supplied to the fuel cell was verified by gas chromatography (GC).

지하주차장 수소연료차 수소탱크 폭발 압력 예측을 위한 기초 연구 (A basic study for explosion pressure prediction of hydrogen fuel vehicle hydrogen tanks in underground parking lot)

  • 지구온난화로 인한 이상기후로 전 세계적 피해가 커지고 있는 가운데, 내연기관의 온실가스 배출을 줄이기 위하여, 친환경자동차 도입이 가속화되고 있다. 이에 각국에서는 수소연료자동차의 안전성 확보를 위해 터널이나 지하주차장과 같은 반밀폐공간에서 수소 연료 폭발에 대비한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 반밀폐공간이라 할 수 있는 지하주차장을 대상으로 수소탱크의 폭발을 등가 TNT 모델을 적용하여 폭발압력을 예측하고 이 값을 폭발압력에 따른 피해범위 및 영향을 분석하였다. 등가 TNT 모델을 적용한 수소탱크 폭발압력 예측 결과 수소용량이 52 Liter인 경우를 기준으로 75 Liter, 156 Liter인 경우 1.5 m 높이에서 각각 약 1.12배, 2.30배 높은 것으로 나타났다. 예측된 최대폭발압력을 충격량으로 환산하여 인체 및 건물에 미치는 영향을 검토한 결과 모든 예측값이 폐 손상 또는 심각한 부분 파괴가 발생할 것으로 예측 되었으며, 예측된 피해정도는 폭발에 따른 충격량만으로 환산 적용한 것이며, 폭발에 따른 부가적인 피해를 고려한다면 실제 피해는 더욱 증가되어 이에 대한 안전 및 방재의 대책이 강구되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.
