  • The earth has been warming due to $CO_2$ gas emissions from fossil fuel cars and a ship. So the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle(FCV) using hydrogen as a fossil fuel alternative energy is in the spotlight. Hyundai Motor Company of Korea and a car companies of the US, Japan, Germany is developing a FCV a competitive. Obtained hydrogen as a by-product of the coke plant, oil refineries, chemical plants of steel mill, coal is reacted with steam at high temperatures, methane gas, manufacture of high purity hydrogen Methane Steam Reforming and hydrogen detachable reforming method using the Pressure Swing Adsorption or Membrane Reforming technical or decomposition of water to produce electricity. Hydrogen is the electronic industry, metal and chemical industries, which are used as rocket fuel, etc. are used in factories, hospitals, home of the fuel Ene.Farm system or FCV. And a method of storing hydrogen is to store liquid hydrogen and a method for compressing normal hydrogen to the hydrogen container, by storing the latest hydride or Organic chemical hydride method is used to carry the hydrogen station. Korea is currently 13 hydrogen stations in place and in operation, plans to install a further 43 places.

  • Electrodeposition of metals form aqueous solutions (eg, electroplating ) is frequently accompanied, by the discharge of hydrogen ions(in acidic solutions) or water molecules ( in alkaline electrolytes). The atomic hydrogen produced thus may partly diffuse into the interior of the substrate and when this is absorbed by iron/steel substrate, it has detrimental effects on the mechanical properties of the steel, leading to ahydrogen embrittlement. Steels, particularly the high strength steels, are prone to hydrogen embrittlement. In view of the increasing applications of high strength steels in variousindustries, particularly in the aircraft manufacture, there has been renewed interest in the studiesonhydrogen embrittlement during electroplating of metals. In this review, the author summarizes the reports on hydrogen embrittlement during preplating of metals. In this review , the author sumamrizes the hydrogen embrittlement during electroplating of metals. In this review , the author summarizes the reports on hydrogen embrittlement during preplating operations and electroplating of metals like copper, nickel, tin, zinc ,cadimum and chromium. Finally, the effect of degassing by baking to deembrittle the plated high tensile steels and mechanism of hydrogen embrittlement are briefly indicated.

  • Ammonia is used in the manufacture of fertilizers, refrigerants, stabilizers and many household cleaning agents. These wide applications resulted in ammonia contamination in water. Ammonia can be removed from water by physical, biological, and chemical methods. Ozonation is effictive in the treatment of water with low concentration of ammonia. This study is undertaken to provide kinetic data for the ozonation of ammonia with or without hydrogen peroxide. The results were as follows; The destruction rate of ammonia increased gradually with the influent hydrogen peroxide concentration up to 0.23 mM and inhibited in the range of 0.23~11.4mM, and the maximum removal rate of ammonia achieved at 0.23mM of hydrogen peroxide, and the overall kinetics was first order. The combination effect of hydrogen and ozone to oxide ammonia in aqueous solution was better than ozone alone. The reacted ammonia was converted completely to nitrate ion.

  • Hydride-dehydride process for efficient recycling of tantalum (Ta) is used for manufacturer of Ta powder. In case of metal powder, Impurities as like nitride, oxygen, hydrogen is decreased of physical properties. For manufacture of Ta powder, control of theses impurities is important. In this study, to decreased of impurities on Ta powder using HDH process optimize dehydride condition. Dehydration behavior of Ta is depended on temperature, time, and atmosphere. Phase transition of Ta hydride is analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Concentration of hydrogen is decreased with temperature increased. At high temperature, concentration of hydrogen in Ta is similar according to time increased. Size and morphology of powder is not observed after dehydride. Ta powder, which is less than 20 um, concentration of hydrogen under 800 ppm is obtain.

  • In order to utilize hydrogen energy in a large-scale in the future, development of effective hydrogen storage method is essentially required as well as that of efficient hydrogen production method. The hydrogen storage method using metal hydrides has been holding the spotlight as a safer and higher-density hydrogen storage method than conventional hydrogen storage methods such as liquid hydrogen or compressed hydrogen storage method. However when metals react with hydrogen to store hydrogen as metal hydrides, they undergo exothermic reactions, while metal hydrides evolve hydrogen by endothermic reaction. Therefore, hydrogen storage tank should have such structure that it can absorb or release reaction heat rapidly and efficiently. In this study, a review on the improvement of the heat release and absorption structure in the hydrogen storage tank was conducted, and as a result, a new type of hydrogen storage tank with the structure of vertical-type wall was designed and manufactured. Experimental results showed that this new type of tank could be used as an efficient hydrogen storage tank because its structure is simpler and manufacture is easier than cup-type hydrogen storage tank with the structure of packed horizontal cup.

  • Permalloy soft magnets have been produced by the powder injection molding process. Rheological characteristics of mixtures, debinding conditions, and the magnetic properties of permalloy after sintering have been investigated. A permalloy soft magnet with a permeability of 14200 could be obtained by preparing a mixture with a powder loading of 65.4 vol % and a PP/PEG binder systems solvent extraction, thermal debinding, and subsequent sintering at 1350$\^{C}$ in hydrogen. The permalloy soft magnet sintered in hydrogen had 95% of theoretical density and a magnetic induction of 13.2 kG in an applied magnetic field of 50 Oe.

  • In this study, tubular SOFC unit cell with advanced anode current collector was fabricated to improve the cell performance. First, we prepared two types of single cells having the same manufacture processes such as the same electrolyte, electrode coating condition and sintering processes. And then to compare the developed single cell performance with conventional cells, we changed the anode current collecting methods. From the impedance analysis and I-V curve analysis, the cell performance of advanced cell is much higher than that of conventional cell.

  • We present a study of hydrogen liquefaction using the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) program. Liquid hydrogen has been evaluated as the best storage method because of high energy per unit mass than gas hydrogen, but efficient hydrogen liquefaction and storage are needed in order to apply actual industrial. In this study, we use the CFD program that apply navier-stokes equation. A hydrogen is cooled by heat transfer with the while passing gas hydrogen through Cu tube. We change diameter and flow rate and observe a change of the temperature and flow rate of gas hydrogen passing through Cu tube. As a result of, less flow rate and larger diameter are confirmed that liquefaction is more well. Ultimately, When we simulate the hydrogen liquefaction by using CFD program, and find optimum results, it is expected to contribute to the more effective and economical aspects such as time and cost.

  • To manufacture hightech easycare wool, there are several methods which use strong oxidising agent or the resin treatment, however, neither are environmentally friendly methods. Moreover it may deteriorate the handle. The aim of this study is to manufacture the hightech easycare wool using the modified Fenton method which can be formed by hydrogen peroxide and ferric sulfate and enzyme treatment. The method was pretreated by ferric sulfate on the wool surface and then the surface of wool scale was selectively removed by ferric ion catalyst. Subsequently the Enchiron which is one of the proteolytic enzymes was treated on the wool surface. The treated wool had the result of having optimum weight loss and excellent whiteness and good handle. Therefore implications of these results suggest that this method using the modified Fenton method and enzyme treatment may be one way of manufacturing the hightech easycare wool.
