파워스티어링 펌프의 자동 성능 시험기 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of the Automatic Performance­Test­machine for Power Steering Pump)

  • Recently, the automotive industry is being developed rapidly. On this, a demand of high quality performance­test­machine is increased too. But it is progressive technology that must be combined hydraulic, mechanic and electronic technologies. To construct this system, the design of oil hydraulic circuit, interface skill between sensor and personal computer, data acquisition & display system and integrated control are very important skill. Moreover, reliable data is obtained with vacuum system and complex heat exchange system. Therefore, in this study, we designed a performance­test­machine by using above key technologies and we also made a integrated PC control system using personal computer which is more progressive and flexible method than PLC control.

  • In this study, the loader was completed that has 4-wheel gear driven drivetrain of study (Ⅰ), the 4-wheel steering with power wheel type, all-wheel traction system, and joy-stick type lever for hydraulic control valve. From driving test of the developed 4WD and 4WS type loader, we obtained that the minimum circling radius and the necessary width in circling motion reduced about 40% and 33% compared with 2WS type loader. Also, all-wheel traction system could keep the tires glued to the ground with greater stability, the power steering allowed a smoother operation, and the joy-stick type lever offered easily to control. Thus, the developed loader having these functions was very fit in a small cattle shed or rugged ground.

Comparisons of Linear Characteristic for Shape of Stator Teeth of Hall Effect Torque Sensor

  • Electric Power Steering (EPS) system is superior to conventional Hydraulic Power Steering (HPS) system in aspect of fuel economy and environmental concerns. The EPS system consists of torque sensor, electric motor, ECU (Electric Control Unit), gears and etc. Among the elements, the torque sensor is one of the core technologies of which output signal is used for main input of EPS controller. Usually, the torque sensor has used torsion bar to transform torsion angle into torque and needs linear characteristic in terms of flux variation with respect to rotation angle of permanent magnet. The torsion angle of both ends of a torsion bar is measured by a contact variable resistor. In this paper, the sensor is accurately analyzed using 3D finite element method and its characteristics with respect to four different shapes of the stator teeth are compared. The four shapes are rectangular, triangular, trapezoidal and circular type.

  • Design for a quite operation of fluid power system requires the understanding of noise and vibration characteristics of the system. This paper presents a dynamic response for design of hydraulic circuit. Experimental investigations on the attenuation characteristics of pressure ripple in automotive power steering hydraulic pipe with dynamic response of hydraulic pipe line is examined. Also, a mathematical model of hydraulic pipe is proposed to support design of the hydraulic circuit and analyze the attenuation characteristics of pressure ripples in a hydraulic pipe line. And analyze the impedance characteristics to determine the postion to construct accumulator for attenuation the pressure pulsation. The experimental results show that the pulsation attenuation characteristics of hydraulic hoses is remarkably affected by the flexible metal tube inserted coaxially inside a hydraulic hose with a finite length as well as viscoelastic properties of hose wall. It is also shown that the predicted results by the model proposed here agree well with the measured results over a wied range of frequency;

조향장치용 인텀 샤프트 설계변수 평가를 위한 수치적 연구 (Numerical Study on Evaluation of Design Parameters of Intermediate Shaft in Steering System)

  • Due to the development of electric and hybrid vehicles, the trend has changed from hydraulic power steering system to electric power steering system (EPS). In this paper, design parameters are deduced through the structural analysis based on the finite element analysis for the intermediate shaft of the EPS on the market. By analyzing the design parameters, the structure design is improved to support the required high torque on the EPS. The numerical analysis is performed to obtain the improved design of the intermediate shaft model and the analysis results are compared with the existing model. It is noted through this numerical approach that the improved design of the intermediate shaft can be acquired the structural safety and high stiffness than existing model.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 120톤급 전지형 크레인의 조향성능 향상을 위한 제어 알고리즘의 개발이다. 이를 위해 AMESim 소프트웨어를 이용하여 전지형 크레인의 유압조향시스템을 모델링하고, PID 기반의 조향제어용 제어기를 MATLAB/Simulink 환경에서 설계하였다. 설계된 제어기의 성능은 실시간 시뮬레이터를 활용한 유압 및 제어 모델간 연성해석을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • In this study, the characteristic of a vane pump of an automative power steering system is numerically analyzed. The vane pump changes the energy level of operation fluid by converting mechanical input power to hydraulic output. To simulate this mechanism, moving mesh technique is adopted. As a result, the flow rate and pressure are obtained by numerical analysis. The flow rate agrees well with the experimental data. Moreover, the variation and oscillation of the pressure around the rotating vane are confirmed. The difference of pressure appears in the vane tip as a result of the flow characteristics. Furthermore, the back flow into the rotor was observed.

자동 조향 트랙터용 비례제어밸브의 동특성 분석 (Analysis of dynamic characteristics of proportional control valve for auto-steering tractor)

  • 본 연구는 자동 조향 트랙터용 비례제어밸브의 국산화를 위한 기초연구로써 다양한 트랙터 조향 조건에 따른 조향 비례제어밸브 동특성 계측 및 분석을 위해 수행되었다. 동특성 데이터는 유량 및 압력 계측 시스템을 통해 수집되었으며, 수집된 유량 및 압력 데이터를 이용하여 동력을 분석하였다. 실험 조건은 트랙터 엔진 회전속도와 조향각을 주요 변수로 선정하였으며, 실험은 우레탄 노면 조건에서 수행되었다. 그 결과, 트랙터 엔진 회전속도 및 조향각이 증가함에 따라 비례제어밸브 유량, 압력, 동력이 모두 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 동일한 엔진회전속도에서 조향각이 증가함에 따라, 유량, 압력, 동력은 각각 최대 190%, 172%, 273% 증가하는 경향을 보였으며, 동일한 조향각에서 엔진회전속도가 증가함에 따라, 유량, 압력, 동력은 각각 최대 161%, 122%, 168% 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 이를 통해, 조향각이 엔진 회전속도보다 비례제어밸브의 동특성에 더 높은 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다.

QFT를 이용한 냉간 압연시스템의 조타유도형 웹 위치제어 (Steering-Type Web Position Control of Cold Mills Using QFT)

  • A new steering-type web position control system for cold mills using QFT is presented. The control system features an inner-outer cascaded system in which the inner loop provides the position tracking control of hydraulic system and the outer loop provides the position regulation control of the web. By the sensitivity analysis and computer simulation, it is verified that the proposed control system has better robust stability and performance than the conventional PH) control system.

저상굴절버스의 전 차륜 조향 시스템 ECU 개발에 대한 연구 (A Study of Development of All Wheel Steering ECU in Bi-modal Tram)

  • 삶의 질이 높아지고 고령화 사회가 시작되면서, 사회적 약자들이 사용하기 쉬운 교통수단의 개발의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 이러한 요구에 부응하기 위해, 한국철도기술연구원에서 주관하여 저상굴절버스(Bi-modal Tram)의 개발을 시작하게 되었다. 이 저상굴절버스는 버스와 같은 높은 접근성의 특징을 가져야 할 뿐만 아니라, 지하철과 같이 차체가 낮아야 하며, 휠체어나 승객의 발이 승강장과 차량 사이 틈에 끼지 않도록 정확한 주차가 이루어져야 한다. 하지만 저상굴절차량의 길이가 길어, 이러한 요건을 맞추기 위해서는 전 차륜 조향 시스템이 개발-장착되어야 한다. 전 차륜 조향 시스템이 장착된 저상굴절차량은 1축 차륜이 조향될 뿐 아니라, 1축 조향각 또는 굴절각과 속도 등의 상태에 따라 2축과 3축 차륜이 조향되는 특징을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 전 차륜 조향장치의 개발 과정을 다룬다.
