유압 피스톤펌프의 토출압력 및 사판각도 변화에 따른 유동특성 해석 (NUMERICAL STUDY ON THE FLOW CHARACTERISTICS OF A HYDRAULIC PISTON PUMP BASED ON THE ANGLE OF THE SWASH-PLATE AND THE DISCHARGE PRESSURE)

  • In various industries related with construction and military machinery, a large amount of power is normally required because such machinery operations, such as digging or breaking, take place under difficult working conditions in a rough environment. Thus, a hydraulic system needs to be applied as the major power transfer system. To produce and supply hydraulic power depending on the various load conditions, a hydraulic piston pump is utilized as a typical power source for a hydraulic system. In the present study, numerical simulations were conducted using the commercial program, Ansys CFX 14.5. To lubricate the moving parts as the pump starts to operate, a small amount of oil leaks out through the clearance between the orifice in the piston-shoe and the recess at the swash-plate. Taking this into consideration, a cylindrically shaped computational domain was modeled to maintain the same equivalent leakage area. To validate the numerical method applied herein, the numerical results of the flow rate at the discharge port were compared with the experimental data, and a good agreement between them was shown. Using the verified method, the effects of the discharge pressure and the angle of the swash-plate were also evaluated under several load conditions. The results of the present study can be useful information for a hydraulic piston pump used in many different manufacturing industries.

풍력 열발생 유압 시스템을 위한 새로운 유량제어밸브에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Novel Flow Control Valve for Wind Power Heat Generation Hydraulic Systems)

  • A wind power heat generation system that converts wind power directly to heat instead of electric power is considered in this study. The system consists of a wind turbine part and a heat generation part. The heat generation part is materialized by a hydraulic system including a hydraulic pump, a flow control valve, a hydraulic oil tank, etc. The flow control valve primarily converts hydraulic energy generated in the pump to heat energy. It should have a function of overspeed protection under excessive wind speeds. In this study, a novel flow control valve design is proposed for excellent flow control characteristics under excessive pump driving torque (excessive wind speed). The performance of the suggested valve is analyzed using numerical simulation.

  • An electrical power generation system driven by main engine shaft, briefly SG system for middle or small size fishing boat is studied experimently. In the SG system, power transmission is performed by a variable displacement hydraulic pump driven by the main engine and a constant displacement hydraulic motor. It was verified that the SG system enabled the generation of electrical power with constant frequency regardless main engine speed. In the SG system, setting reference frequency, sensing generator output frequency and setting controller parameters are performed by performed by programming in a microcomputer, so a countermeasure for physical situations of control object is very easy. Futhermore, the SG system has following features; low initial installation cost, wide freedom of installation in engine room, advantage of application in existing ships, especially fishing boat with hydraulic fishing equipments.

압전유압펌프 성능실험에 대한 연구 (On the Performance Test of the Piezoelectric-Hydraulic Pump)

  • 본 논문에서는 압전재료를 이용하여 중소형 무인기 브레이크 시스템에 적용 가능한 압전유압펌프를 설계 및 제작하고, 제작된 압전유압펌프의 성능검증 실험을 수행하였다. 중소형 무인기급 목표 항공기를 선정하여 브레이크 시스템의 요구조건을 분석하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 압전유압펌프의 성능 요구조건을 선정하였다. 요구조건을 만족하는 압전유압펌프의 형상설계를 수행하였으며, 고속 동작 조건에서도 유체의 역류를 효과적으로 차단시킬 수 있는 체크밸브를 비롯한 모든 구성품을 제작하였다. 제작된 압전유압펌프의 성능검증을 위해 실험장치를 구성하여 무부하 토출특성, 부하 시 압력형성 특성실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과, 무부하 최대 토출유량은 80 Hz에서 120.04 cc/min이고, 부하 시 최대 토출압력은 140 Hz에서 783.17 psi이고, 압력형성 반응속도는 약 30 ms 이내임을 확인하였다. 이는 설계 제작된 압전유압펌프가 펌프성능 요구조건을 충족하고 있다고 판단된다.

  • To improve the performance of a bent-axis type axial piston pump driven by the tapered pistons, it is necessary to know the pressure ripple characteristics. The purpose of this paper is to understand the effect on the pressure ripple characteristics and the prediction by comparing experimental and theoretical results. The simulation model of the bent-axis type axial piston pump is developed in the AMESim environment using the geometrical dimension and the driving mechanism of the piston pump. The results can be obtained to predict the performance characteristics of the bent-axis type axial piston pump.

  • The regulator system has been modeled and combined to a swashplate type axial piston pump. Linear approximation has been performed for nonlinear coefficient terms of an axial piston pump-regulator model without significantly affecting accuracy. Based on the mathematical model of an axial piston pump-regulator system, a couple of characteristic curves of negative flow control and horsepower control are drawn, which show a good correlation with those of experimental results. So the simplified axial piston pump-regulator model in this paper is expected to be utilized not only for the design and analysis of hydraulic circuit of excavator but also for prevention of engine overload.

직접순시토크 제어에 의한 SR구동형 유압 펌프시스템의 고성능 압력제어 (A High Performance Pressure Control of SR Type Hydraulic Pump System using Direct Instantaneous Torque Control Method)

  • This paper presents a high performance pressure control scheme for SR(Switched Reluctance) type hydraulic oil pump using DITC(Direct Instantaneous Torque Control). SR drive has a good feature for pump applications due to a high efficiency, high speed and high torque characteristics. But, SR drive has high torque ripple in commutation region. So, the pump pressure variation is high in the region. In order to reduce the pressure variation, DITC combined with pressure control scheme is presented in this paper. A simple PI controller with flow and pressure limit, generates a reference torque to keep the constant actual pump pressure. The direct torque controller of SR drive generates inverter switching signals according to a control rule and a torque estimator. Computer simulation and experiemtal results show the validation of the proposed control scheme.

Voltage Sags Impact on CAR and SOR of HANARO

  • The reactor protection system (RPS) of HANARO is a safety class system. The reactor is tripped by dropping four shut off rods (SOR). The SOR system consists of a SOR, hydraulic pump, hydraulic cylinder, solenoid valves and a power supply unit which has the AC coil contactor as a switching component. The hydraulic pump lifts up the SOR. The SOR drops by loss of the hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic circuit at the occurrence of voltage sags or interruptions. From this experiment, we knew that the magnitude of the voltage sag which impacts on this system is 70V, 500msec. The reactor regulation system (RRS) of HANARO has four CARs which are connected to the driver through a magnetic clutch. The CAR drops by loss of electromagnetic force of the magnetic clutch when the deeper voltage sags to lower than 10V, 500msec.

자동차용 유압베인펌프의 고속에서 베인과 캠링간의 이간현상 (The Separation of the Vane and the Camring at high speed of an Oil Hydraulic Vane Pump for Automobile)

  • In an oil hydraulic vane pump for an automobile, it is very important that the vane doesn't separate from the camring inner race during the operation of the vane pump. The vane generally has not only the oil hydraulic force acting on the bottom face to contact to camring inner race but there is also an inertial force and viscous force. Because the oil hydraulic force is much larger than the other forces, the contact state between the vane tip and the camring inner race is sufficient. However, the contact state between the vane tip and the camring inner race is only affected by the inertial and viscous forces during the delivery of the vane pump, because the oil hydraulic force acting on the vane is in equilibrium. If the inertial force is larger than the viscous force, which happens when the vane is separated from the camring inner race, the delivery of the vane pump can become unstable or the volume efficiency can become decrease rapidly. Therefore, in this paper, the state of the contact between the vane and the camring is considered. The results show that the rotating speed of the shaft, the operating temperature of the oil, the clearance between the vane and the rotor, and the mass of the vane exert a great influence on the state of the contact between the vane and the camring.

가변 유압 펌프/모터를 이용한 유압 제어 시스템의 에너지 절감에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Energy Saving Hydraulic Control System using Variable Displacement Hydraulic Pump/Motor)

  • This paper proposes a flywheel hybrid vehicle to solve the energy crisis problem by the exhaustion of a fossil fuel and air pollution for the conservation of environment. The proposed flywheel hybrid vehicle is composed of an accumulator and a flywheel as the energy generation and storage component and three variable displacement hydraulic pump/motors as the energy transfer devices. Flywheel has the characteristics of high energy density and easy energy absorption and consumption. The effectiveness of the energy-saving of the proposed flywheel hybrid vehicle is verified by simulation using Matlab/simulink. First of ail, analytical modeling for the flywheel hybrid vehicle is presented and simulations are performed based on the experimental efficiency data of a variable displacement pump/motor. The results of the simulation show that the effect of energy savings is realized by the proposed hybrid vehicle in 3 different city driving patterns.
