하이브리드 공정으로 제조한 TiAlSiN 박막의 특성 (Mechanical Properties of TiAlSiN films Coated by Hybrid Process)

  • In this study, TiAlSiN coatings have been successfully synthesized on stainless steel and tungsten carbide substrate by a hybrid coating method employing a cathodic arc and a magnetron sputtering source. TiAl and Si target were vaporized with the cathodic arc source and the magnetron sputtering source, respectively. Process gas was the mixture of nitrogen and argon gas. With the increase of Si content, the crystallinity and the grain size of TiAlSiN film was decreased. At the Si content of more than 8 at.%, grain size of TiAlSiN was saturated at around 2 nm. The hardness value of the TiAlSiN film increased with incorporation of Si, and had the maximum value of ~ 3,233 Hv at the Si content of 9.2 at.%. The oxidation resistance of TiAlSiN film was enhanced with the increase of Si content.

  • Magnetic properties and microstructures of Fe$\_$93-x/Zr$_3$B$_4$Ag$\_$x/ thin films were investigated as a function of addition of element Ag, (X$\_$Ag/=0 to 6 at.%) and annealing temperature, T$\_$a/=300$\^{C}$ to 600$\^{C}$. In the case of adding Ag, magnetic properties of Fe$\_$93-x/Zr$_3$B$_4$Ag$\_$x/ thin films were improved than those of Ag-free Fe$\_$93/Zr$_3$B$_4$thin films. The prominent soft magnetic properties with coercivity of 1.1 Oe, saturation magnetization of 2.2 T and permeability of 5400 at 50㎒ were obtained from Fe$\_$88/Zr$_3$B$_4$Ag$\_$5/ thin film annealed was lower than that of Fe-base or Co-base thin films reported previously. Such enhanced magnetic properties are presumably attributed to the format in ultra fine grains. Also, the reduced eddy current loss in the annealed sample is due to refined micro magnetic domains with increasing the amount of Ag in Fe$\_$93-x/Zr$_3$B$_4$Ag$\_$x/ thin films.

  • 폴리우레탄 변형 아크릴레이트(PUA)/실리카 하이브리드 필름은 자외선 경화에 의해 제조되었고, 필름의 표면물성은 경도시험과 접착력 테스트를 통해 분석되었다. 이들 필름은 유기, 무기함량을 mole비로 조성하여 실험하였으며, 무기조성은 실리카 입자의 함량을 기준으로 설정하였다. 필름 층 내의 실리카 입자는 함량에 따라 혹은 분산정도에 따라 내스크래치성이나 필름자체 경도 등의 물성이 많은 차이를 보였는데, 이는 PUA필름 층 내의 실리카 입자들이 균일하게 분포되어 가교결합되어 있었기 때문이다.

  • Sulfonated fluorinated block copolymers having diphenyl units were mixed with the sulfonated cationic conductive polymers at an optimum mixing ratio to form hybrid membranes for fuel cells and their characteristics were studied. 2D and 3D AFM topology analysis confirmed that the number of hydrophilic units in the hybrid membrane was improved. Through the FE-SEM, the microstructure of the hybrid membrane implied hydrogen bonding and pi-pi interactions, and EDAX confirmed carbon, oxygen, sulfur, and fluorine. The thermogravimetric analysis showed that the hybrid membrane was thermally stable and the hydrophilicity of the hybrid membrane was increased by the contact angle of water droplets. As a result, it was confirmed that the cation conductivity increased by a factor of 1.8 times as the number of acidic domains in the hybrid film increased.

RF 스퍼터링과 이온소스 복합방식에 의한 플라스틱사출금형(SKD11)의 DLC막 응용 (The Application of DLC(diamond-like carbon) Film for Plastic Injection Mold by Hybrid Method of RF Sputtering and Ion Source)

  • DLC film was synthesized on plastic injection mold(SKD11, $30\;mm\;{\times}\;19\;mm\;{\times}\;0.5\;mm$) and Si(100) wafer for 2 h at $130^{\circ}C$ under 6 mTorr using hybrid method of rf sputtering and ion source. The obtained film was analysed by Raman spectroscopy, AFM, TEM, Nano indenter and scratch tester, etc. The film was defined as an amorphous phase. In the Raman spectrum, broad peak of $sp^2$-bonded carbon attributed to graphite at $1550\;cm^{-1}$ were observed, and the ratio of ID($sp^3$ diamond intensity)/IG($sp^2$ graphite intensity) was approximately 0.54. The adhesion of DLC film was more than 80 N with scratch tester when $0.2\;{\mu}m$ thickness Cr was coated as interlayer. The micro-hardness was distributed at 35~37 GPa. The friction coefficient was 0.02~0.07, and surface roughness(Ra) was 0.34~1.64 nm. The lifetime of DLC coated plastic injection mold using as a connector part in computer was more than 2 times of non-coated mold.

Nano-engineering of Hybrid Titanium Oxide Structure (TiO2) using Pore-widening Concentration for Enhanced Superhydrophilicity

  • Titanium alloy is gaining attention in the medical industry due to its excellent biocompatibility and osteoconductivity. However, the natural oxide film on the titanium surface is insoluble, resulting in inadequate bone adhesion. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the contact between biological tissues and implant surfaces, and alter the chemical composition and morphological characteristics of the implant surface. In this study, the anodization method was applied to titanium surface treatment to form a uniform and robust oxide film. Subsequently, a chemical process, pore-widening, was employed to change the morphological characteristics of the oxide film. The concentration of the pore-widening solution was varied at 2, 4, 6, and 8 wt% and the process time was set at 30 and 60 minutes. As the concentration of the pore-widening solution increased the pore diameter of the oxide film increased. Notably, at 6 wt% for 60 minutes, the oxide film exhibited a coexistence of pillars and pores. Based on this, it was determined that surface roughness increased with higher concentration and longer process time. Additionally, the presence of pillars and pores structures maximized hydrophilicity. This study provides insights into enhancing the surface properties of titanium for improved performance in medical implants.

불소 단량체를 이용한 자외선 경화형 내 오존성 코팅 막 제조 (Preparation of UV-curable Ozone Resistance Coating Solutions using Fluoromonomer)

  • 불소계 아크릴레이트 2,2,2-trifluoroethylmethacrylate을 사용한 자외선 경화형 유-무기 하이브리드 코팅 막에 있어서 무기물 및 사용되는 유기 단량체의 종류 및 조성이 내 오존성 및 표면 특성에 미치는 영향에 대해 연구하였다. 코팅액은 금속 알콕사이드인 tetraethoxysilane(TEOS)와 실란 커플링제인 methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane(MPTMS)로 구성된 유-무기 혼성 용액에 2,2,2-trifluoroethylmethacrylate와 자외선 경화를 위한 유기물을 첨가하여 제조되었다. 코팅막은 코팅액을 기재위에 바 코팅 한 후 자외선 경화를 통해 제조되었다. 제조된 코팅 막의 내 오존성은 TEOS의 함량이 증가할수록 내 오존성과 표면경도는 향상되었다. 또한, 불소 함량이 증가할수록 내 오존성은 향상되었지만 표면 경도는 다소 떨어졌다. 우레탄 아크릴레이트를 첨가한 코팅 막은 높은 연필경도를 나타내었다. 코팅 막의 투과도는 TEOS와 2,2,2-trifluoroethylmethacrylate의 함량에 큰 영향을 받지 않았다. 더욱이, 코팅 막은 90% 이상의 높은 투과도를 나타내었다.

  • 광 변색 물질로 1,2-bis(2,4-dimethyl-5-phenyl-3-thienyl)-3,3,4,4,5,5-hexafluoro-1-cyclopentene(BTHFC)를 사용하는 유-무기 혼성 코팅막이 금속 알콕사이드인 tetramethoxysilane(TMOS), 다양한 실란 커플링제, 그리고 용매와 같은 다양한 반응 조건하에서 제조되었다. 제조된 코팅 막 중에서 상대적으로 비극성인 실린 커플링제를 사용한 경우, 광 변색 유기물인 BTHFC는 우수한 흡광도 및 소색속도를 나타내었다. 더욱이 용매 THF 존재 하에서 TMOS와 methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane(MPTMS)의 몰 비가 1:1로 하여 제조되었을 때 흡광도와 소색속도는 크고 빠른 것을 알 수 있었다. 연필강도는 TMOS의 함량이 증가할수록 증가한 반면, 투과도는 상대적으로 감소하였다.

  • Accompanied by the demand of thin type TV, the application of the TFT LCD display device is more and more extensive. The key material which influences the optical performance of the TFT LCD is optical film. Due to the rapid development of the big size TFT LCD for the recent years, the supply has been unable to meet the demand for its relative material. Therefore, we bring up a alternate choice-the hybrid compensation film which could not only show well optical performance, but also lessen the quantity of usage in TAC in order to make the optical film free of shortage.

하이브리드 Thick Film EL 표시소자의 광전 특성 연구 (A Study on the Photoelectric Characteristics of Hybrid Thick Film EL Device)

  • EL은 LCD와 같은 수광 형태의 소자에 비해 응답속도가 빠르고, 자체 발광 형태의 디스플레이로 휘도가 우수하며 구조가 간단하여 제조가 용이하고 경량 박형의 장점을 가지고 있다. EL을 이용하여 세븐 세그먼트나 픽셀별 발광으로 표시소자를 제작하였다. EL 소자의 구조는 전극은 금, 유전체는 PMN과 PZT를 이용하였으며 형광체를 적층하고 ITO를 증착하여 제작하였다. 4*4mm로 크기의 픽셀이 49개가 들어간 소자를 제작하고 ITO와 하부 전극을 교차하여 매트릭스 타입으로 제작하였다. 픽셀 하나에 교류 전압 펄스를 변화하여 가했을 때의 픽셀의 광전특성과 주변 픽셀에 미치는 영향에 대해 오실로스코프, 광 프로브 등을 이용하여 특성을 살펴보았다.
