시험모드에 따른 하이브리드자동차의 에너지소비효율 특성에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Assesment Fuel Economy of Hybrid Vehicle on Test Modes)

  • Surely fuel economy(F.E.) label is needed to meet consumer's right to know. Korea has developed and adopted F.E. correction equation similar to the feeling, because consumer complain about F.E. label higher than they feel. Recently, through continuous research and development high-efficiency & performance green car like HEV, PHEV and EV are being sold. In this situation, it is needed to know whether the current equation can reflect a part of their improved technic or not. In this paper, to review current equation through test using hybrid vehicles on 5-cycle SOC, correction equation and F.E were discussed. The result show HEV didn't meet the SOC error standard on US06. Also, HEV has bigger F.E. difference between FTP-75 and 5-cycle than conventional vehicles. However, the correction equation that include HEV almost same with current one.

  • This paper presents an application of parallel hybrid Genetic Algorithm-Tabu Search (GA-TS) algorithm to search an optimal solution of a recokiguration in distribution system. In parallel hybrid CA-TS, after CA operations, stings which are not emerged in the past population are selected in the reproduction procedure. After reproduction operation, if there are many strings which are in the past population, we add new random strings into the population, if there's no improvement for the predetermined iteration, local search procedure is executed by TS for the strings with high fitness function value. To show the usefulness of the proposed method, developed algorithm has been tested and compared on a distribution system in the reference paper.

  • Electrical power distribution systems are critical links between the utility and customer. In general, power distribution systems have unbalanced feeders due to the unbalanced loading. The devices that dependent on balanced three phase supply are affected by the unbalanced feeders. This necessitates the balancing of feeders. The main objective of reconfiguration is to balance the loads among the phases subject to constraints such as load flow equations, capacity and voltage constraints and to reduce the real power loss, while subject to a radial network structure in which all loads must be energized. Therefore, the distribution system reconfiguration problem has been viewed as multi-objective problem. In this paper, the hybrid heuristic algorithm has been used for reconfiguration, which is the combination of fuzzy and greedy algorithms. The purpose of the introduction of greedy is to refrain the searching for the period of phase balancing. The incorporation of fuzzy helps to take up more objectives amid phase balancing in the searching. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through modified IEEE 33 bus and modified IEEE 125 bus radial distribution system.

  • 일반적인 다층 신경망에서 가중치의 갱신 알고리즘으로 사용하는 오류 역전과 방식은 가중치 갱신 결과를 고정된(fixed) 한 개의 값으로 결정한다. 이는 여러 갱신의 가능성을 오직 한 개의 값으로 고정하기 때문에 다양한 가능성들을 모두 수용하지 못하는 면이 있다. 하지만 모든 가능성을 확률적 분포로 표현하는 갱신 알고리즘을 도입하면 이런 문제는 해결된다. 이러한 알고리즘을 사용한 베이지안 신경망 모형(Bayesian Neural Networks Models)은 주어진 입력값(Input)에 대해 블랙 박스(Black-Box)와같은 신경망 구조의 각 층(Layer)을 거친 출력값(Out put)을 계산한다. 이 때 주어진 입력 데이터에 대한 결과의 예측값은 사후분포(posterior distribution)의 기댓값(mean)에 의해 계산할 수 있다. 주어진 사전분포(prior distribution)와 학습데이터에 의한 우도함수(likelihood functions)에 의해 계산한 사후확률의 함수는 매우 복잡한 구조를 가짐으로 기댓값의 적분계산에 대한 어려움이 발생한다. 따라서 수치해석적인 방법보다는 확률적 추정에 의한 근사 방법인 몬테 칼로 시뮬레이션을 이용할 수 있다. 이러한 방법으로서 Hybrid Monte Carlo 알고리즘은 좋은 결과를 제공하여준다(Neal 1996). 본 논문에서는 Hybrid Monte Carlo 알고리즘을 적용한 신경망이 기존의 CHAID, CART 그리고 QUEST와 같은 여러 가지 분류 알고리즘에 비해서 우수한 결과를 제공하는 것을 나타내고 있다.

탄소섬유와 SiC 휘스커를 혼합한 $Al/Al_2O_3$ 복합재료의 마멸특성 (Wear Characterization of $Al/Al_2O_3$ Composites Reinforced with Hybrid of Carbon Fibers and SiC Whiskers)

  • The Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$ SiC and Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C hybrid metal matrix composites (MMCs) were fabricated by squeeze infiltration method. Uniform distribution of reinforcements were found in the microstructure of metal matrix composites. Mechanical tests were carried out under various test conditions to clearly identify mechanical behavior of MMCs, and the wear mechanism of Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/(SiC or C) hybrid metal matrix composites were investigated. The tensile strength and hardness of hybrid composites was resulted in increasing compared with those of the unreinforced matrix alloy. Wear resistance was strongly dependent upon kinds of fiber, volume fraction and sliding speed. The wear resistance of metal matrix composites was remarkably improved by the addition of reinforcements. Especially, the wear resistance of the hybrid composites of carbon fibers was more effective than in the composites reinforced with alumina and SiC whiskers of reinforcements. This was due to the effect of carbon fiber on the solid lubrication. Wear mechanisms of hybrid composites were suggested from wear surface analyses. The major wear mechanism of hybrid composites was the abrasive wear at low to intermediate sliding speed, and the melting wear at intermediate to high sliding speed.

Practical Methodology of the Integrated Design and Power Control Unit for SHEV with Multiple Power Sources

  • Series hybrid electric vehicles (SHEVs) having multiple power sources such as an engine- generator (EnGen), a battery, and an ultra-capacitor require a power control unit with high power density and reliable control operation. However, manufacturing using separate individual power converters has the disadvantage of low power density and requires a large number of power and signal cable wires. It is also difficult to implement the optimal power distribution and fault management algorithm because of the communication delay between the units. In order to address these concerns, this approach presents a design methodology and a power control algorithm of an integrated power converter for the SHEVs powered by multiple power sources. In this work, the design methodology of the integrated power control unit (IPCU) is firstly elaborately described, and then efficient and reliable power distribution algorithms are proposed. The design works are verified with product-level and vehicle-level performance experiments on a 10-ton SHEV.

  • A vehicle stability control logic for 4WD hybrid electric vehicle is proposed using the regenerative braking of the rear motor and electronic brake force distribution module. Performance of the stability control logic is evaluated for J-turn and single lane change. It is found from the simulation results that the regenerative braking at rear motor is able to provide improved stability compared with the vehicle performance without my stability control. Additional improvement can be achieved by applying the regenerative braking plus electronic brake farce distribution control. It is expected that the regenerative braking offers additional improvement of the fuel economy as well as the vehicle stability control.

  • Active hybrid solid state transformer(AHSST) is newly emerging as a device to maintan the power quality of power distribution. AHSST has a simple structure in which a power electronics device is connected in series to a conventional distribution transformer. The connected power electronics device maintains the constant voltage regardless of the primary grid voltage fluctuation through the secondary voltage control to improve the power quality. It also has a simple structure compare to conventional solid state transformer system and can achieve the same performance with fractionally-rated converter. This paper proposes an multi-level converter based on AHSST system that has a simpler control method and wider voltage control range than the conventional AHSST. The proposed system is verified by simulations.
