CFT기둥과 합성보로 구성된 CJS합성구조시스템의 유한요소해석 연구 (Finite Element Analysis Study of CJS Composite Structural System with CFT Columns and Composite Beams)

  • This paper presents the effect on the inelastic behavior and structural performance of concrete and filled steel pipe through a numerical method for reliable judgment under various load conditions of the CJS composite structural system. Variable values optimized for the CJS synthetic structural system and the effects of multiple variables used for finite element analysis to present analytical modeling were compared and analyzed with experimental results. The Winfrith concrete model was used as a concrete material model that describes the confinement effect well, and the concrete structure was modeled with solid elements. Through geometric analysis of shell and solid elements, rectangular steel pipe columns and steel elements were modeled as shell elements. In addition, the slip behavior of the joint between the concrete column and the rectangular steel pipe was described using the Surface-to-Surface function. After finite element analysis modeling, simulation was performed for cyclic loading after assuming that the lower part of the foundation was a pin in the same way as in the experiment. The analysis model was verified by comparing the calculated analysis results with the experimental results, focusing on initial stiffness, maximum strength, and energy dissipation capability.

Numerical simulation of fish nets in currents using a Morison force model

  • For complex flexible structures such as nets, the determination of drag forces and its deformation is a challenging task. The accurate prediction of loads on cages is one of the key steps in designing fish farm facilities. The basic physics with a simple cage, can be addressed by the use of experimental studies. However, to design more complex cage system for various environmental conditions, a reliable numerical simulation tool is essential. In this work, the current load on a cage is calculated using a Morison-force model applied at instantaneous positions of equivalent-net modeling. Variations of solidity ratio ($S_n$) of the net and current speed are considered. An equivalent array of cylinders is built to represent the physical netting. Based on the systematic comparisons between the published experimental data for Raschel nets and the current numerical simulations, carried out using the commercial software OrcaFlex, a new formulation for $C_d$ values, used in the equivalent-net model, is presented. The similar approach can also be applied to other netting materials following the same procedure. In case of high solidity ratio and current speed, the hybrid model defines $C_d$ as a function of Re (Reynolds number) and $S_n$ to better represent the corresponding weak diffraction effects. Otherwise, the conventional $C_d$ values depending only on Re can be used with including shielding effects for downstream elements. This new methodology significantly improves the agreement between numerical and experimental data.

하이브리드형 임무계획을 고려한 군집 무인수상정 시뮬레이션 시스템의 연동 인터페이스 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Interface System for Swarm USVs Simulation Based on Hybrid Mission Planning)

  • 국방 분야는 아군 피해를 최소화하고 전투 효과를 향상하기 위해 무인 시스템을 운용한다. 해군의 무인수상정(USV, Swarm Unmanned Surface Vehicle)은 통신범위 내 군집 형성과 USV 간의 상황인식 정보공유를 통해 임무를 수행한다. 본 논문은 무인수상정의 내부 연동 및 외부 연동을 위한 인터페이스 연동어댑터 시스템(IAS, Interface Adapter System)을 제안한다. IAS는 USV의 자율운항 경로생성과 무장할당을 계획하는 임무계획 부체계(MPS, Mission Planning Subsystem)의 타 부체계 간 연동을 담당하며, 주요 기능은 MPS와 타 부체계 간 인터페이스 데이터를 실시간으로 교환하는 것이다. 이를 위해, MPS의 기능 요구사항과 연동 메시지를 식별 및 분석하였고, 실시간 분산처리 미들웨어를 활용하여 IAS를 구현하였다. 실험은 군집 USV 시뮬레이션 환경을 통한 다수의 통합시험을 수행하였으며, 지연시간과 연동 메시지 손실률을 측정하였다. 그 결과, 제안한 IAS는 MPS와 타 부체계 간 성공적인 가교역할을 수행할 것으로 기대한다.

설비공학 분야의 최근 연구 동향 : 2013년 학회지 논문에 대한 종합적 고찰 (Recent Progress in Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Research : A Review of Papers Published in the Korean Journal of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering in 2013)

  • This article reviews the papers published in the Korean Journal of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering during 2013. It is intended to understand the status of current research in the areas of heating, cooling, ventilation, sanitation, and indoor environments of buildings and plant facilities. Conclusions are as follows. (1) The research works on the thermal and fluid engineering have been reviewed as groups of fluid machinery, pipes and relative parts including orifices, dampers and ducts, fuel cells and power plants, cooling and air-conditioning, heat and mass transfer, two phase flow, and the flow around buildings and structures. Research issues dealing with home appliances, flows around buildings, nuclear power plant, and manufacturing processes are newly added in thermal and fluid engineering research area. (2) Research works on heat transfer area have been reviewed in the categories of heat transfer characteristics, pool boiling and condensing heat transfer and industrial heat exchangers. Researches on heat transfer characteristics included the results for general analytical model for desiccant wheels, the effects of water absorption on the thermal conductivity of insulation materials, thermal properties of Octadecane/xGnP shape-stabilized phase change materials and $CO_2$ and $CO_2$-Hydrate mixture, effect of ground source heat pump system, the heat flux meter location for the performance test of a refrigerator vacuum insulation panel, a parallel flow evaporator for a heat pump dryer, the condensation risk assessment of vacuum multi-layer glass and triple glass, optimization of a forced convection type PCM refrigeration module, surface temperature sensor using fluorescent nanoporous thin film. In the area of pool boiling and condensing heat transfer, researches on ammonia inside horizontal smooth small tube, R1234yf on various enhanced surfaces, HFC32/HFC152a on a plain surface, spray cooling up to critical heat flux on a low-fin enhanced surface were actively carried out. In the area of industrial heat exchangers, researches on a fin tube type adsorber, the mass-transfer kinetics of a fin-tube-type adsorption bed, fin-and-tube heat exchangers having sine wave fins and oval tubes, louvered fin heat exchanger were performed. (3) In the field of refrigeration, studies are categorized into three groups namely refrigeration cycle, refrigerant and modeling and control. In the category of refrigeration cycle, studies were focused on the enhancement or optimization of experimental or commercial systems including a R410a VRF(Various Refrigerant Flow) heat pump, a R134a 2-stage screw heat pump and a R134a double-heat source automotive air-conditioner system. In the category of refrigerant, studies were carried out for the application of alternative refrigerants or refrigeration technologies including $CO_2$ water heaters, a R1234yf automotive air-conditioner, a R436b water cooler and a thermoelectric refrigerator. In the category of modeling and control, theoretical and experimental studies were carried out to predict the performance of various thermal and control systems including the long-term energy analysis of a geo-thermal heat pump system coupled to cast-in-place energy piles, the dynamic simulation of a water heater-coupled hybrid heat pump and the numerical simulation of an integral optimum regulating controller for a system heat pump. (4) In building mechanical system research fields, twenty one studies were conducted to achieve effective design of the mechanical systems, and also to maximize the energy efficiency of buildings. The topics of the studies included heating and cooling, HVAC system, ventilation, and renewable energies in the buildings. Proposed designs, performance tests using numerical methods and experiments provide useful information and key data which can improve the energy efficiency of the buildings. (5) The field of architectural environment is mostly focused on indoor environment and building energy. The main researches of indoor environment are related to infiltration, ventilation, leak flow and airtightness performance in residential building. The subjects of building energy are worked on energy saving, operation method and optimum operation of building energy systems. The remained studies are related to the special facility such as cleanroom, internet data center and biosafety laboratory. water supply and drain system, defining standard input variables of BIM (Building Information Modeling) for facility management system, estimating capability and providing operation guidelines of subway station as shelter for refuge and evaluation of pollutant emissions from furniture-like products.

적응 PIF Gain 및 가변구조 제어기를 사용한 비선형 모델에 의한 원자로의 Robust Control (Nonlinear Model-Based Robust Control of a Nuclear Reactor Using Adaptive PIF Gains and Variable Structure Controller)

  • 적응 비례-적분-추정 (PIF) gain 및 가변구조 제어기를 사용하는 비선형 모델에 의한 하이브리드 제어방법 (NHC)이 개발되었다. 이 제어기는 모델의 불확실성에 대해 robust한 성질을 가지며 단일 입-출력 비선형 시스템의 추적제어 (tracking control)에 응용된다. 이 방법의 특징은 제어기가 각각 특정 역할을 수행하는 4개 부분으로 구성되는 것이다. 즉, 적응 P-I-F 및 가변구조 제어기로 구성된다. Lyapunov의 제 2방법으로 결정된 적응 PIF gain에 의한 제어성능 확보 및 모델의 불확실도를 평가하여 피이드백 함으로써 모델의 불확실성에 대해 robust한 제어기를 구성하였다. 가변구조 제어기는 PIF gain이 적절히 결정되지 않은 상태인 초기의 오차증가를 제어하기 위해 도입되었다. 새로 개발된 NHC방법을 원자로의 출력변동 제어에 응용한 결과 기존의 모델을 이용한 제어방법 (model-based controller)들에 비해 제어성능이 크게 개선되었다.

FTMS 자료를 활용한 고속도로 Corridor 동적 분석 (A Dynamic Traffic Analysis Model for the Korean Expressway System using FTMS)

  • 첨단교통체계의 기술발전과 교통 분석의 수준이 상세해짐에 따라 동적 교통 분석에 대한 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 기존의 정적인 분석이 하루 평균 개념의 통행특성과 네트워크 상태를 묘사한 반면, 동적 분석에서는 시간흐름에 따른 네트워크의 상태를 분석한다. 본 논문에서는 교통시스템 동적 분석의 필요성을 인식하여, 고속도로망을 대상으로 FTMS 자료를 활용한 분석 방법론을 개발하였다. 개별 차량의 실제 통행기록 자료인 TCS 자료를 이용하여 전국 고속도로망을 대상으로 동적 기종점 통행량을 구축하였으며, 시뮬레이션 연산시간 문제 해결을 위해 분석범위를 설정한 Subarea 분석을 활용하였다. 이를 위해 전국 고속도로망을 대상으로 구축된 시간대별 기종점 통행량을 Subarea 기종점 통행량으로 전환하기 위한 방법론을 개발하였다. 구축된 모형의 적용을 위해 시나리오 분석을 실시하였으며, 이를 통해 각각의 시나리오에 대하여 기존의 단편적인 효과분석과 달리 하루 중 시간대별 교통여건에 따른 네트워크 상태분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구는 동적 교통 분석의 초기 시도라는 점과 실제 기종점 자료인 FTMS 자료를 활용한 분석이라는 점에서 의미를 가지며, 현재 교통 분석의 큰 흐름인 동적 교통 분석의 필요성을 부각시키고자 한다. 향후 고속도로뿐만이 아닌 기타 도로를 포함한 모형 구축이 필요하며, Hybrid 모형 및 프로그램 개발을 통해 궁극적인 목표인 실시간동적 분석 모형 개발을 위한 연산시간 문제 해결이 필요할 것이다.
