벤투리 효과를 활용한 도심형 건물용 하이브리드 풍력 및 태양광 발전 시스템 기초타당성 예비연구 (Preliminary Feasibility Study on Wind and Solar Hybrid Power Systems based on Venturi Effects for Buildings)

  • Recently, the use of renewable energy has been increasing to achieve carbon neutrality. The concept of a zero-energy building is also attracting attention. In this study, a preliminary study was conducted to analyze the feasibility of a hybrid wind and solar power generation system between buildings that utilize the building wind generated by the Venturi effect. For this purpose, the wind speed and sunshine hours were monitored in the area where the building wind blows by the Venturi effect, and the power generation depending on system types, areas, and season was estimated. Consequently, the wind power generation system showed a larger amount of power per area than solar power. The wind power systems can generate larger power if wind power blades are installed along the height of the building. As a preliminary study, this study verified the feasibility of the system utilizing building wind and suggested follow-up studies.

Power control strategies of a DC-coupled hybrid power system for a building microgrid

  • In this paper, a DC-coupled photovoltaic (PV), fuel cell (FC) and ultracapacitor hybrid power system is studied for building microgrid. In this proposed system, the PV system provides electric energy to the electrolyzer to produce hydrogen for future use and transfer to the load side, if possible. Whenever the PV system cannot completely meet load demands, the FC system provides power to meet the remaining load. The main weak point of the FC system is slow dynamics, because the power slope is limited to prevent fuel starvation problems, improve performance and increase lifetime. A power management and control algorithm is proposed for the hybrid power system by taking into account the characteristics of each power source. The main works of this paper are hybridization of alternate energy sources with FC systems using long and short storage strategies to build an autonomous system with pragmatic design, and a dynamic model proposed for a PV/FC/UC bank hybrid power generation system. A simulation model for the hybrid power system has been developed using Matlab/Simulink, SimPowerSystems and Matlab/Stateflow. The system performance under the different scenarios has been verified by carrying out simulation studies using a practical load demand profile, hybrid power management and control, and real weather data.

  • Photovoltaic energy and wind energy are very in constant depending on the season, time and extremely intermittent energy sources. Because of these reasons, in view of the reliability the solar and the wind generation system have many problems(energy conversion, energy storage, load control etc.) comparing with a conventional power plant. So, in order to solve these existing problems, hybrid generation system of photovoltaic(500W) and wind power(400W), which combines wind power energy and solar energy to have effect of supporting each other, was suggested. But hybrid generation system cannot always generate stable output with weather condition, the auxiliary power compensation apparatus that uses elastic energy of spiral spring to hybrid generation system was also added for the present study. And it may confirm that power was continuously provided to load by storing energy obtained from generating rotary energy of spiral spring generates in small scale generator.

Performance of Wind-Photovoltaic Hybrid Generation System

  • This paper reports the performance of Wind-PV(Photovoltaic) hybrid system. The output power of PV is affected by the environmental factors such as solar radiation and cell temperature. Also, the output power of wind system is generated with wind power. Integration of Wind and PV resources, which are generally complementary, usually reduce the capacity of the battery. This paper includes discussion on system reliability, power quality and effects of the randomness of the wind and the solar radiation on system design.

  • In this paper, a hybrid maximum power tracker for a photovoltaic/wind hybrid power system is proposed. In the hybrid system, a direct interfacing the wind power system to the photovoltaic system gives the problems of voltage fluctuations, poor maximum power tracking, and harmonics generation associated with the random wind speed, the random solar irradiation and the pulsating torque came from the wind turbine synchronous generator and photovoltaic. To overcome these problems, a wind side DC/DC converter are proposed employing a star/delta transformer interconnected between the wind turbine side and the photovoltaic side. The control objective for each dc/dc converter is to extract maximum power from each different photovoltaic system and wind system, and transfer two different powers to the inverter and load.

  • 본 연구에서는 부유식 파력-해상풍력 연계형 발전시스템의 기반구조물 개념설계에 대한 내용을 다루고 있다. 세계적으로 해양 신재생에너지에 대한 관심이 커져가고 있다. 파력과 해상풍력은 다른 해양에너지원과 더불어 주요 관심이 되는 에너지원으로서 발전적지가 대체로 일치한다는 특징이 있다. 따라서 파력과 해상풍력을 복합하여 발전하는 시스템은 경제적으로 많은 이점이 있고 이미 여러 나라에서 파력-해상풍력 복합발전 시스템을 개발하고 있다. 이에 따라 우리나라에서도 10MW급의 파력-해상풍력 복합발전 시스템을 개발하기 위한 연구가 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는 다수 풍력발전기와 파력발전기의 배치를 고려하여 반잠수식 구조물이 설계되었다. 또한 설치해역의 환경을 고려하여 계류시스템과 파워케이블이 설계되었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 복합발전 플랫폼의 개념설계 결과를 제시하고 다양한 발전시스템의 배치를 고려한 설계상의 어려움을 토의하고 설계 방법을 제시한다.

Managing and Minimizing Cost of Energy in Virtual Power Plants in the Presence of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles Considering Demand Response Program

  • Virtual power plants can be regarded as systems that have entered the network after restructure of power systems. In fact, these plants are a set of consumers capable of consuming and generating power. In response to widespread implementation of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, further investigation of energy management in this type of power plants seems to be of great value. In effect, these vehicles are able to receive and inject power from/into the network. Hence, study of the effects of these vehicles on management of virtual power plants seems to be illuminative. In this paper, management of power consumption/generation in virtual power plants has been investigated in the presence of hybrid electric vehicles. The objective function of virtual power plants problem management is to minimize the overall costs including not only the costs of energy production in power generation units, fuels, and degradation of batteries of vehicles, but also the costs of purchasing electricity from the network. Furthermore, the constraints on the operational of plants, loads and hybrid vehicles, level of penalty for greenhouse gas emissions ($CO_2$ and $NO_x$) produced by power plants and vehicles, and demand response to the immediate price of market have all been attended to in the present study. GAMS/Cplex software system and sample power system have been employed to pursue computer implementation and simulation.

A Multiagent-Based Hybrid Power Control and Management of Distributed Power Sources

  • In this paper, a multi-agent control system for DC-coupled photovoltaic (PV), fuel cell (FC), ultracapacitor(UC) and battery hybrid power system is studied for commercial buildings & apartment buildings microgrid. In this proposed system, the PV system provides electric energy to the electrolyzer to produce hydrogen for future use and transfer to the load side, if possible. A multi-agent system based-power management and control algorithm is proposed for the hybrid power system by taking into account the characteristics of each power source. Simulation results are also presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed multi-agent control and management system for building microgrid.

  • 세계적으로 핵 연료와 자연에서 발생되는 화석 연료의 급격한 소비로 인해 자원의 부족으로 대체 에너지가 필요한 실정이다. 현재 세계적으로 많은 대체에너지를 개발 연구하고 있다. 그 중에 기존에 풍력발전 시스템은 대형의 추세로 시스템화가 발전되어 왔으며, 소형의 풍력 발전시스템은 단순하게 풍력발전 원리를 이용하여 발전시스템을 만들어져 왔다. 기존의 소형 풍력 발전시스템은 체계적으로 개발되어 온 것이 아니므로 발전 효율의 저하와 유지보수 문제점으로 많은 곳에서 방취되고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 소형풍력의 발전 효율 상승과 동시에 태양 에너지를 발전 할 수 있는 하이브리드 발전시스템을 개발하고, 네트워크를 통해 하이브리드 발전시스템을 효율적으로 유지보수 할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하고자 한다.

태양광 발전을 이용한 하이브리드 도로조명 점등제어 시스템 설계 (The Hybrid Road Lighting Control System Design using Solar-Light Generation)

  • 본 논문에서는 태양광 발전을 이용한 하이브리드 도로조명 제어 시스템 설계를 제안한다. 제안하는 하이브리드 도로조명 점등제어 시스템은 태양광 발전을 이용하여 하이브리드 컨트롤러를 통해 전원을 공급하고 도로조명을 점등제어가 가능하도록 설계한다. 전력 부족시 상시전력을 공급하도록 제어하고 인체 감지시 자동 조명 제어가 되도록 게이트웨이는 도로조명에 zigbee를 이용하여 제어명령을 전송한다. 미리 설정해 놓은 타임 스케줄에 의해 시스템의 상태를 결정하고 동작시키는 점등제어 알고리즘을 적용한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 하이브리드 도로조명 점등제어 시스템의 효율성 분석결과, 등주 당 하루에 129.6W의 전력소비를 하였고 1개월간 3.8KW, 연간 47.3KW를 소비하였다. 결과적으로 기존의 점등제어 시스템보다 76.2%의 전력소비량 감소와 76.8%의 전력요금이 감소되어 에너지 효율을 높일 수 있었다.
