이종강도 부재간 연결면 조건에 따른 전단강도 평가 (Evaluation of Shear Strength of Concrete Layers with Different Strength considering Interfacial Indentation)

  • 본 연구에서는 Eurocode에서 제시하는 콘크리트 부재간 계면조건을 고려한 전단강도 설계식을 압축강도가 서로 다른 부재 연결부에 대해서도 적용할 수 있는지를 검토하기 위하여 전단실험을 수행하고 설계 평가식과 비교하였다. Eurocode에서 제시하는 전단강도 평가식의 변수를 고려하여 콘크리트 압축강도, 전단철근 보강비, 요철계면을 변수로 하는 부재를 제작하였고, 콘크리트층 간의 강도 차이와 요철계면의 유무에 따른 전단강도에 주안점을 두고 전단실험을 수행하였다. 실험을 통해 계측한 실제 전단강도를 Eurocode의 전단강도 평가식을 이용한 계산값과 비교하여 실제 전단강도 수준과 평가식과의 차이를 평가하였으며, 이종강도를 갖는 콘크리트 층에서 압축강도가 증가함에 따라 전단강도도 증가하며, 계면요철을 둔 연결부 전단강도는 설계기준의 평가식으로 계산한 값에 비해 20~50%까지 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 철근보강비가 작은 경우에는 계면요철에 의한 전단저항력이 전단강도에 주로 기여하며, 이 경우에는 계면에서의 급격한 파괴가 일어나는 현상과 전단강도 편차가 크게 나타남에 따라 평가식과 큰 차이를 보였다. 특히, 이종강도를 갖는 콘크리트 층의 전단강도는 압축강도 차이가 클수록 강도 평가식과 큰 차이를 보이는 것으로 판단된다.

  • In the case of CAD/CAM ceramic inlay restorations, if isthmus width is widened too much, it may cause fracture of remaining tooth structure or loss of bonding at the luting interface because of excessive displacement of buccal or lingual cusps under occlusal loads. So to clarify the criterior of widening isthmus width, this study was designed to test the tensile bond strength and bond failure mode between dentin and ceramic cemented with luting composite resin cements. Cylindrical ceramic blocks(Vita Cerec Mark II, d=4mm) were bonded to buccal dentin of 40 freshly extracted third molars with 4 luting composite resin cements(group1 : Scotchbond Resin Cement/Scotchbond Multi-Purpose, group2 : Duolink Resin Cement/ All-Bond 2, group3: Bistite Resin Cement/Ceramics Primer, and group4:Superbond C&B). Tensile bond test was done under universal testing machine using bonding and measuring alignment blocks(${\phi}ilo$ & Urn, 1992). After immersion of fractured samples into 1 % methylene blue for 24 hours, failure mode was analysed under stereomicroscope and SEM. Results: The tensile bond strength of goup 1, 2 & 4 was $13.97{\pm}2.90$ MPa, $16.49{\pm}3.90$ MPa and $16.l7{\pm}4.32$ MPa, respectively. There was no statistical differences(p>0.05). But, group 3 showed significantly lower bond stregnth($5.98{\pm}1.l7$ MPa, p<0.05). In almost all samples, adhesive fractures between dentin and resin cements were observed. But, in group 1, 2 & 4, as bond strength increased, cohesive fracture within resin cement was observed simultaneously. And, in group 3, as bond strength decreased, cohesive fracture between hybrid layer and composite resin cement was also observed. Cohesive fracture within dentin and porcelain adhesive fracture were not observed. In conclusion, although adhesive cements were used in CAD/CAM -fabricated ceramic inlay restorations, the conservative priciples of cavity preparation must be obligated.

Control and Analysis of an Integrated Bidirectional DC/AC and DC/DC Converters for Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle Applications

  • The plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) are specialized hybrid electric vehicles that have the potential to obtain enough energy for average daily commuting from batteries. The PHEV battery would be recharged from the power grid at home or at work and would thus allow for a reduction in the overall fuel consumption. This paper proposes an integrated power electronics interface for PHEVs, which consists of a novel Eight-Switch Inverter (ESI) and an interleaved DC/DC converter, in order to reduce the cost, the mass and the size of the power electronics unit (PEU) with high performance at any operating mode. In the proposed configuration, a novel Eight-Switch Inverter (ESI) is able to function as a bidirectional single-phase AC/DC battery charger/ vehicle to grid (V2G) and to transfer electrical energy between the DC-link (connected to the battery) and the electric traction system as DC/AC inverter. In addition, a bidirectional-interleaved DC/DC converter with dual-loop controller is proposed for interfacing the ESI to a low-voltage battery pack in order to minimize the ripple of the battery current and to improve the efficiency of the DC system with lower inductor size. To validate the performance of the proposed configuration, the indirect field-oriented control (IFOC) based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) is proposed to optimize the efficiency of the AC drive system in PHEVs. The maximum efficiency of the motor is obtained by the evaluation of optimal rotor flux at any operating point, where the PSO is applied to evaluate the optimal flux. Moreover, an improved AC/DC controller based Proportional-Resonant Control (PRC) is proposed in order to reduce the THD of the input current in charger/V2G modes. The proposed configuration is analyzed and its performance is validated using simulated results obtained in MATLAB/ SIMULINK. Furthermore, it is experimentally validated with results obtained from the prototypes that have been developed and built in the laboratory based on TMS320F2808 DSP.

복권형 하이브리드 스테핑 전동기의 회전차 위치 센서리스 최적 Lead Angle 제어 (Rotor Position Sensorless Control of Optimal Lead Angle in Bifilar-Wound Hybrid Stepping Motor)

  • 본 연구에서는 복권형 하이브리드 스테핑 전동기의 회전자 위치 함수로 주어지는 순시 상전류식을 유도하여 Laad Angle에 따른 순시 상전류값의 변화를 보이고, 특히 여자 펄스 인가후 ${\pi}/2$ 시점의 수닛 상전류값으로부터 회전자 위치 정보를 얻을 수 있음을 이론식 및 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션에 의해 확인하였다. 이러한 사실으로부터 복권형 하이브리드 스테핑 전동기의 폐루프 운전을 위해 회전자 위치 검출기를 사용하지 않고 전동기의 파라미터가 고려된 최적 Lead Angle이 실현된 여자 펄스를 생성시키는 제어기를 마이크로컨트롤러에 의해 구성하고 실험하였다. 구성된 제어기는 A/D 변환기, 프로그래머블 입.출력 타이머 및 전동기 속도에 대한 최적 Lead Angle 값을 갖는 변환 테이블 등의 기능을 갖는 마이크로컨트롤러와 또한 전동기의 속도와 여자 펄스 인가후 ${\pi}/2$ 시점의 순시 상전류값에 대한 정토오크 발생영역에 해당하는 Lead Angle 값을 갖는 변환 테이블을 위한 ROM 등으로 구성되어 외부 부가회로를 최소화하였으며, 전동기의 파라미터 등의 변화에 따른 제어량의 병환 테이블이 내용과 제어 S/W 에 의존함으로써 유연성을 확보하였다. 이와 같이 구성된 복권형 하이브리드 스테핑 전동기의 회전자 위 센서리스 최적 Lead Angle 시의 순시 상전류 파형과 유사한 파형을 얻음으로써 최적 Lead Angle 이 실현되었음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Cyclic behavior of steel beam-concrete wall connections with embedded steel columns (II): Theoretical study

  • This paper theoretically studies the cyclic behavior of hybrid connections between steel coupling beams and concrete shear walls with embedded steel columns. Finite element models of connections with long and short embedded steel columns are built in ABAQUS and validated against the test results in the companion paper. Parametric studies are carried out using the validated FE model to determine the key influencing factors on the load-bearing capacity of connections. A close-form solution of the load-bearing capacity of connections is proposed by considering the contributions from the compressive strength of concrete at the interface between the embedded beam and concrete, shear yielding of column web in the tensile region, and shear capacity of column web and concrete in joint zone. The results show that the bond slip between embedded steel members and concrete should be considered which can be simulated by defining contact boundary conditions. It is found that the loadbearing capacity of connections strongly depends on the section height, flange width and web thickness of the embedded column. The accuracy of the proposed calculation method is validated against test results and also verified against FE results (with differences within 10%). It is recommended that embedded steel columns should be placed along the entire height of shear walls to facilitate construction and enhance the ductility. The thickness and section height of embedded columns should be increased to enhance the load-bearing capacity of connections. The stirrups in the joint zone should be strengthened and embedded columns with very small section height should be avoided.
