The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of spousal attachment on social support the husband provides for his wife, investigate the relationships between spousal attachment and the social support the husband received from the wife, and the view the relationship between the social support provided for the wife and the social support received from the wife during early adulthood. A survey was conducted for this study. The hypotheses were based on adult attachment theory. The results are as fellows: Secure attachment with a spouse had a significant positive effect on motivational support and esteem support provided for the wife. Anxious-avoidant attachment with a spouse had a significant negative effect on instrumental support, social companionship, motivational support, esteem support and informational support provided for the wife. Anxious-ambivalent attachment with a spouse negatively affected instrumental support, social companionship, motivational support, esteem support and informational support provided for the wife. Secure attachment with a spouse was positively related to instrumental support, social companionship, motivational support, esteem support and informational support received from the wife. Anxious-avoidant attachment with a spouse was negatively related to instrumental support, social companionship, motivational support, esteem support and informational support received from the wife. Anxious-ambivalent attachment with a spouse was negatively related to esteem support received from the wife. The results were discussed as they relate to the importance of spousal attachment for a healthy family.

This study is to investigate the main factors influencing prenatal attachment. The research method is on the basis of descriptive correlational study, and data collecting period was from 11 to 29, November, 2003. The objects of this study were 100 pregnant women of two OBGY Hospitals in Masan. Using the SPSS/WIN 10.1 program the data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression analysis. The result of this study was as follows : The mean score of prenatal attachment was 2.64, the mean score of physical discomforts, 1.61, the mean score of husband-wife attachment, 3.28, the mean score of psychosocial adjustment of pregnancy, 1.82. The degree of prenatal attachment according to general characteristics was significantly difference according to religion. The degree of prenatal attachment according to obstetrical characteristics was significantly difference according to Lamaze class, Taekyo. Significant correlations of prenatal attachment was found in both psychosocial adjustment of pregnancy, Taekyo, husband-wife attachment, Lamaze class, religion. Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that 52% of the variance in prenatal attachment was significantly accounted by psychosocial adjustment of pregnancy(34%), Taekyo(6%), husband-wife attachment(5%), Lamaze c1ass(5%), and religion(3%). Further findings of this study support the development of creative strategies to enhance positive attachment relationship for pregnant woman.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship among mother-daughter relationship, husband-wife relationship, and prenatal attachment according to pregnant women's internal working model. Method: A convenience sample of 68 pregnant women was recruited from two OBGYN hospitals in M city. Data collection was conducted through the use of an Adult Attachment Interview and questionnaires. This study used a descriptive correlational design and the period of investigation was from July 3-20, 2002. 41 of the 68 women were in a secure pregnant women's internal working model and 27 of the 68 in insecure ones. The data were analyzed by Chi-square test, t-test, and Pearson Correlation Coefficient. Result: The results of this study were as follows: Mean score of the prenatal attachment of the secure pregnant women and mean score of the mother-daughter relationship of the secure pregnant women was significantly higher than that of insecure ones. 3) Prenatal attachment was negatively and significantly related to mother-daughter attachment and husbandwife attachment in the secure pregnant women's internal working model. However it was not significantly relationship in insecure pregnant women's internal working model. Conclusion: It is found in this study that there is an intergenerational attachment relationship during pregnancy. Further findings support the development of creative strategies to enhance positive attachment relationships for pregnant women. It is recommended to develop nursing education of attachment for the insecure pregnant women's internal working model.

In Jane Campion's Stewart, Ada's husband, as like modern people, manifests the infinite lust of conquest. But Banes has a humanistic relation with the New Zealand's tribe and doesn't have a deep attachment of his own land. Stewart represents the ruling reason in that he disregards his wife's desire and acts only for his desire to possess and conquest. In contrast with him, in order to satisfy her desire of the piano and hold her own inner world in common, Banes proposes the extraordinary deal, that is to say, to exchange her piano and his land and to learn playing the piano from her. Like this Banes represents the caring reason in that he regards Ada's desire and cares her in according to her purpose and himself.
