A Study on the Physiological Responses and the Microclimate in Girdle (Girdle 착용이 인체생리반응과 의복기후에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to confirm the effects of girdle on the physiological responses and the microclimate in summer. The measuring points were rectal temperature, skin temperature, pulse rate and sweat volume as physiological responses and the inside clothing temperature, relative humidity as microclimate when the subjects wore girdle (girdle A; polyurethan+nylon, girdle B; polyurethan+cotton) for the period of rest and exercise in climate chamber. The enviromental conditions were at $25^{\circ}C$ ($65{\pm}5\%$ RH) and $30^{\circ}C$ ($75{\pm}5\%$ RR). The results were as followings. 1. Mean skin temperature increased in girdle during the exercise at $30^{\circ}C$. 2. The pulse rate decreased in girdle during the rest at $25^{\circ}C$. In the case of girdle A, it was remarkably decreased. Rectal temperature increased in girdle A and B during the exercise at $25^{\circ}C$. But the kinds of girdle didn't affect the pulse rate and rectal temperature. 3. The total sweat volume in girdle was larger than in control. 4. The difference between skin temperature and inside clothing temperature of abdomen had a tendency to increase at all experiment condition. 5. The relative humidity of inside ($RH_1$) and outside ($RH_2$) of girdle increased in girdle during the rest at $25^{\circ}C$ and $30^{\circ}C$. And the relative humidity of wearing girdle B was hig-her than girdle A during the rest at $25^{\circ}C$ and $30^{\circ}C$. The $RH_1$ after stepping at $30^{\circ}C$ was the highest in girdle A and the lowest in control. From this point of view, we concluded that physiological responses and the microclimate were affected by wearing girdle. And mean skin temperature and relative humidity of inside clothing were affected by the materials of girdle.

  • Composition environments - Automatic Control System based on Sproute Cultivator using Remote Conditional Driving System was realized. It was carried out to investigate into the characteristics of LEDs Control for the cultivation of sprouts. We have also composed a Combined Automatic Control System possible for the control of temperature and humidity at the same time. The applied LEDs for measurement are blue, green, red, white, yellow leds. And we had also designed the Web Programming for the automatic control about sprout cutivators.

Growth Characteristics of Lettuce under Low Pressure (저압조건에서 상추의 생육 특성)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the feasibility of plant growth under low pressure and to investigate the effect of pressure on plant growth. Three levels of pressures (25, 50, and 101.3 kPa (control)) were provided to analyze the growth of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) as affected by low pressure. Photoperiod, air temperature, and photosynthetic photon flux were set at 16/8 h, 26/$18^{\circ}C$, and $240{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}s^{-1}$, respectively. Growth characteristics of lettuce were measured on 7 days and 14 days after experiment. Leaf length, leaf width, leaf area, and root dry weight of lettuce measured on 7 days under 25 and 50 kPa were significant as compared to the control. Leaf length, top dry matter and root dry matter of lettuce measured on 14 days were significantly different under 25 and 50 kPa. From these results, we confirmed that lettuce could be grown under low pressure. However high relative humidity by evapotranspiration from leaves and growing beds under low pressure caused the condensation on the inner surface of the chamber. Therefore in a low pressure chamber, humidity control is required to maintain the relative humidity at a proper level.

  • Modbus is a serial communications protocol, it has since become a practically standard communication protocol, and it is now a commonly available means of connecting industrial electronic devices. Therefore, it can be connected with all devices using Modbus protocol to the measurement and remote control on the ships, buildings, trains, airplanes and etc.. In this paper, we add the Modbus communication protocol to the existing lighting controller sensitivity to enable verification and remote control by external environmental factors, and also introduces a fuzzy inference system was configured by external environmental factors to control LED lighting. External environmental factors of temperature, humidity, illuminance value represented by the LED through a fuzzy control algorithm, the values accepted by the controller through the sensor. Modbus is using the RS485 Serial communication with other devices connected to the temperature, humidity, illumination and LED output status check is possible. In addition, the remote user is changed to enable it is possible to change the RGB values in the desired color change. Produced was confirmed that the LED controller output is based on the temperature, humidity and illumination.

  • According to growing of the plant cultivation in a greenhouse environment, the demand of a system to control the greenhouse easier has increased. Currently, the methods to control by the mobile App represent the information in a greenhouse environment with a simple numerical data or compose only the contents with a limited degree of freedom. In order to solve these problems, this paper presents a system that can be viewed or controlled greenhouse conditions in near / remote distance using augmented reality and MQTT communication protocol, RTSP media streaming protocol. The proposed method is implemented in Android smartphone environment and acts monitoring the information (temperature, humidity, illuminance) obtained by greenhouse's sensors and transmits the real time greenhouse's video using RTSP in the remote distance, and controls the values of temperature, humidity, illuminance for the greenhouse using the augmented reality in the near distance.

  • 1. Under the current workroom conditions It is very difficult to control the moisture contents of raw materials in season of summer or winter. 2. The moisture absorption of the materials under the contributive conditions showed the efficiency of 65% in relative humidity and temperature of the currant workroom. 3, The results from this study, however , appeared the deviation of moisture content of the products by the order of 0.1% compared to the current deviation of 2.6~2.7%. 4. Equilibrium moisture contents of the tobacco was Inversely proportional to the temperature and directly related to the relative humidity of the workroom. 5. On the basis of the above results , the standard conditions of the workroom obtained from this study considering with the external temperature in winter could reduce energy by 17.4% through 38.4% .

The Characteristics of the Treatment of Pollutants ($SO_2$, NOx) Using Surface Discharge Induced Plasma Chemical Process (SPCP를 이용한 오염물질 ($SO_2$, NOx) 처리 특성)

  • Plasma process has great possibilities to remove SOx, NOx simultaneously with high treatment efficiency and is expected to be suitable for small or middle plants. It was accomplished to evaluate SO2, NOx control possibility and achieve basic data to control pollutants by use of Surface Discharge Induced Plasma Chemical Process (SPCP) in this study. O3 generation characteristics by discharge of a plate was proportional to O2 concentration and power consumption and inversely proportional to temperature and humidity, In case of dry air, NOx was highly generated by N2 and O2 in air during the plasma discharge process but it was decreased considerably as H2O was added. SO2 removal efficiency was very high, and removal rate was 170,350 mEA at 30,50 watt respectively in flue gas which is usually contain HIO. NOx removal efficiency was about 57% at 40 watt power consumption with 7.5% humidity. It is estimated that H2O has an important role in reaction mechanism with pollutants according to plasma discharge.

  • In farms, forestry centres and greenhouses, the system can be used in growing seedlings of crops , breeding of plant and vegetables in cold areas. It may control all the activities automatically in temperature, humidity , sprinkling and heating. This is a closed-cycle control system controlled automatically by single-chip microcomputer. (MCS-51) The purpose of this system is to shorten the experimental cycle of crops , improve the survival rate of crops breeding, and ensure the growth of vegetables in the cold areas. Therefore, it can be used widely.

  • Railroad car is one of major public transportation because of an increase in population and heavy traffic problems. We design the concept with air filtration of HVAC system using CFD, select environment-friendly components and compose intellectual HVAC system. For this object, the research to connect HVAC system which control temperature, humidity, air flow with pollutant controlling system which can deal with particular dust, nasty smell. In case of train, fresh air should be provided continuously for pleasant environment of the cabin every season. The air will control outer dust, inner particular dust, $CO_2$ density by air conditioning, heating, humidity regulating, air filtering and ventilating. Ventilation system on passenger cars should be designed for the health and comfort of the passengers.

  • This paper sums up all the different steps broached in this project : The NIR spectroscopy technique has been studied and implemented at CTP using a mobile spectrometer device and different optical materials. Methods, based on statistical data analysis (in particular PLS regressions), have been investigated. A laboratory "prototype" using these techniques and methods has been developed in order to control the recovered papers quality, in terms of humidity percentage and sample composition (paper, board, contaminants).
