  • The culture phenomenon, which the desire of self expression is noticeable and the diversity of gender identity is widely accepted, simply makes a difference in the lifestyle of one human being rather than the dichotomous classification of male and female. Now, the delicate and aesthetic sensitivity classified as the feminine characteristics is no longer the exclusive property of female and this refers to substituting it as a social gender from the concept of biological sex. This phenomenon has influenced on the male culture and is creating various codes according to the cultural gender extended from the gender as a social role. Also, the transition into the western lifestyle has extended the aesthetic emotion to accommodate new codes from the diversification and globalization of lifestyle. The mansumer power, which does not care too much about the money for the emotionally attached items, has enabled various fashion styles. After analyzing the diversified clothing behavior conducted by these people in connection with the social phenomenon, First, this shows the phenomenon of emotional value pursuit that finds pleasure over the clothing as the item of augmented reality is added to the concept of play, in which the real space referred to as garment and virtual space of playing the rock, paper and scissors game meet together within the augmented reality. Second, the convergence concept has enabled the coordination of new style by obscuring the area of design concept and this refers to the changes in design from the development of new items and transformation into double-style details. Third, the divergence that intensively provides specific use/convenience and specialized value shows a change in the fashion market from the phenomenon that admits various gene rations of culture and specifically, takes differently about the recognition of middle-aged males. Fourth, the variety seeking tendency receives attention as the value of future design together with the phenomenon of discriminative value pursuit. In the male fashion, it is linked to the collaboration with the design area and this tells that the fashion with the narcissistic cross-dressing and motto of neutral gender without being sided to male/female is rising.

  • Anxiety is one of the basic emotions which human experiences across different cultures in the world and it can be observed in mammals. Our understanding of the neurobiology of this emotion has made some advances, even though it has not been completed, with the development and advance in the investigation method including neuroimaging, neurochemical, and genetic approaches. In this article, the neuroanatomical and neurochemical basis of anxiety is reviewed. The amygdaloid complex has been known to playa key role in processing of anxiety or fear. It has extensive afferent and/or efferent connections with cortical and subcortical structures. The mesial temporal structures including hippocampus appear to be involved in acquisition of anxiety and related behaviors. The prefrontal cortical structures appear to play important roles in conscious awareness of anxiety and in modulating anxiety and related behavior. The bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (BNST) is known to playa critical role in unconditioned fear response. The central noradrenergic system and hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal axis are known to play important roles in modulating and expressing anxiety-related responses. Anxiety has been gathering attentions from many investigators and numerous preclinical and clinical investigations of anxiety and anxiety disorders have been done. In particular, neural plasticity in critical period and the psychobiological factors related to resilience to extreme stress and anxiety are important issues in this field.

  • The Greek sculptor, Pygmalion, created a sculpture which was perfect in shape and fell in love with it. He prayed the goddess of love, Venus to transform it into a real woman. She answered his asking, and he finally got married to her. In Bernard Shaw's movie, , the linguist, Dr. Higgins, brought a street girl, Eliza Doolittle to his home and educated her standard London dialect and upper-class manners. Unlike the Greek sculptor, Higgins changed not only her appearance but also her inner identity, then she became 'a new woman' of the age. Abby in seems to live a successful life of thorough planning and pursuing knowledge, but there is no place for her to express natural instinct and human emotion. On the other hand, Mike is a totally different type of a person from her. Like a Greek sculptor, he changes her into a woman who can truly understand other people from her heart and listen to what her inner-self says to her. The Greek myth metaphorically suggests the way to build true relationships between people of all times.

  • The purpose of this study is to reassert the important role of sound design in creating narrative space in films. The main focus is on re-interpreting Chion's sound space composition as a narrative structure. The sound design process has been analyzed to find that the physical properties of sound are purposely manipulated to create the layers of sound to be perceived by the audience in the same way as human perception and cognition of the actual reality work, eventually to create the cinematic reality. The hierarchy of the layers is determined by the importance of the narrative information contained in each sound, with the higher layers being appropriate to convey the information of the narrative, and the lower layers being efficient to deliver the emotion to the audience. With this idea, each of the Chion's space composition is explained as a distinctive area in telling a story with the separate narrative role from the others.

  • The issues of generation, delivery, and processing of information which have been treated importantly in information design field have evolved along with the evolution of the humankind. In the modern society, the vast amount of, complex, and artificial forms of information such as big-data is accounted for the majority and claims of interest focusing on how to effectively design those kinds of information are being increased. This study explored the visualization methods applied with the natural objects as motives as one of the ways for users to easily get their perception and cognition to the information. Nature has long influenced on the human figural activities. The natural objects take the optimum visual shapes and provide the diverse inspiration and emotion to the designers in the various design fields such as product design, architecture design, and so on. Through the literature studies, we suggested the compositional principles of natural objects and the principles for observing and analysing natural objects as a principle to use the natural objects for information design domain. We, also, suggested the information design approach model which is inspired the natural objects by linking those two kinds of principles to the information design's visual realization factors and explored the possibilities of utilizing of the approach model by the case studies.
