The effect of Boa-tang to the lymphocytes (보아탕(補兒湯)이 림프구의 증식능(增殖能)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • By inserting Boa-tang into culture median of lymphocytes from spleen of rat and lymphocytes in human peripheral blood The results were as follow. 1. In case of spleen lymphocytes of rat, cultures of lymphocytes did not significantly increased which were inserted Boa-tang $100{\mu}g/ml$, and which were inserted $10{\mu}g/ml$ at 3rd day 2. In case of spleen lymphocytes of rat, cultures of lymphocytes were significantly increased which were inserted Boa-tang $10{\mu}g/ml$ with Con A $2.5{\mu}g/ml$ at 2nd, 3rd day, and Boa-tang $1{\mu}g/ml$ with ConA $2.5{\mu}g/ml$ at 3rd day than inserted ConA $2.5{\mu}g/ml$ 3. In case of lymphocytes in human peripheral blood, cultures of lymphocytes were significantly increased which were inserted Boa-tang $100{\mu}g/ml$ and $10{\mu}g/ml$ at 2nd day to 5st day, and which were inserted Boa-tang $1000{\mu}g/ml$ at 2nd day to 5th day, and which were inserted $1{\mu}g/ml$ at 2nd day By looking at the following results, in case of rat cultures of lymphocytes were significantly increased which were inserted the lower density, but in case of human cultures of lymphocytes were significantly increased which were inserted the higher density.

  • This paper presents the quantitative evaluation of the fearfulness of the human driver in the case of the short range (time) on the highway. The driving situation is realized by using the driving simulator based on CAVE, which provides three-dimensional stereoscopic immersive visual information. The examinees' responses and personal information are categorized reasonably by applying the competitive learning algorithm. The characteristics of each group are analyzed. The following two situations are also compared: (1) the active approaching situation where the examinee drives the vehicle near the preceding vehicle, and (2) the passive approaching situation where the preceding vehicle nears the examinee's vehicle by gradually decelerating. The range time that the examinee feels fear in the active approaching case tends to be shorter than that in the passive approaching case.

  • We report a case of gastric pseudoterranoviasis proven by gastrofiberscopy on Dec. 13, 1994. The 34-year-old male patient, residing in Chungju-shi, was admitted to Konkuk University Hospital complaining of prickling epigastric pain. The symptoms suddenly attacked him two days after eating raw marine fish at Chonan-shi. By the gastrofiberscopic examination, a long white-yellowish nematode was found from the fundus region of stomach. The worm was $34.50{\;}{\times}{\;}0.84{\;}{\;}mm$ in size. and was identified as a 3rd stage larva of Pseudoterranova decipiens judging from the position of the intestinal cecum. This is the 12th confirmed case of human pseudoterranoviasis in Korea.

  • 언어를 컴퓨터로 처리하기 위한 방법으로 격문법(Case Grammar)을 사용하는 것이 있다. 격문법은 동사에 대한 격틀(Case Frame)을 기술함으로써 그 동사와 의미적으로 관계를 가지는 명사들에 대해 표현하는 것이다. 따라서 이러한 격 문법을 사용하기 위해서는 동사에 대한 격틀을 기술하는 것이 필수 과제이다. 본 연구에서는 동사에 대한 격틀을 기술하기 위해서 말뭉치에서 직접 사용된 명사-조사 쌍과 동사를 추출하여 이들의 격관계를 결정하고 이 자료들을 모두 동사의 격틀 정보로 사용하였다 이렇게 구축된 격틀 자료를 구문분석의 후처리 단계에 적용하여 구문분석 결과 잘못된 명사-조사 쌍 의존관계를 수정하였다.

A Rare Human Case of Dirofilaria repens Infection in the Subcutaneous Posterior Thorax with Molecular Identification

  • The emergence of dirofilarial infections in Asia including Vietnam is a clinically significant threat to the community. We here report a rare case of subcutaneous Dirofilaria repens infection on the posterior thoracic wall in a young woman presenting a painful, itchy, and palpable nodule. The adult worm was identified by mitochondrial cox1 and nuclear ITS-2 sequence determination. The diagnosis was additionally confirmed by 16S rRNA sequencing of the endosymbiont Wolbachia pipientis commonly co-existing with D. repens. This is a rare case of subcutaneous human infection on the posterior thoracic region caused by D. repens.

Dyeing Properties and Colorfastness of Direct-Dyed Ramie, Flax, and Cotton (모시, 아마, 면의 직접염료 염색에서 염색성과 염색 견뢰도에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper, deying properties and colorfastness of ramie, flax, and cotton fabrics for direct dyes were compared. When dyed in a same dyeing bath ratio, in case of green dyes, colorfastness to light was similar for three fabrics but in case of red dyes, cotton had a lower level. For colorfastness to laundering, three fabrics were similar and there were no consistent differences. The degree of stain about white fabric cotton was highest in case of red dyes. The degree of stain about white fabric wool showed the high resistance of stain and little stain was seen. This result represented that the used dyes were proper direct dyes for cellulosic fibers. For the difference of shade, the cotton was cosistently brighter and the shade of ramie was darker than of cotton and flax. This might mean that optical effects arouse from the comparatively large cross-sectional size of the ramie fiber and its highly ordered structure.

The Case Study on Marriage Immigrant Women' Child Birth Intention (결혼 이민자 여성의 자녀 출산 의향에 관한 사례 연구)

  • In that marriage immigrant women' birth rate are higher than those of Korea women, they were selected to suggest pronatalism in Korea. The purpose of this study is to explore the child birth intention of marriage immigrant women. One of qualitative study, case study was used in methodology. Participants were 10 marriage immigrant women, depth interview were conducted. The major results were categorized facilitators and inhibitors. Facilitators were 'number of origin family members', 'absence or weakness of family planning', 'successful experience of the first child birth', 'no difficulty in childbearing', 'recommendation of mother-in-law', 'child' positive effect in Korea life adjustment'. Inhibitors were 'insufficient economic condition', 'husband' old age and the opposite of mother-in-law', 'dissatisfaction with marriage life', 'lack of government' support'. Based on this results, practical implications and interventions were suggested.

  • Most incidents and accidents involved human during operating NPPs have a tendency to be structured by complicated and various organizational, individual, and environmental factors. The salient feature of the human error in NPP was extremely low frequency, extremely high complicated and extremely serious damage of human life and property. Our research team defined as 'rare human errors'. To prevent the rare human errors, the most researchers and analysts insist invariably that the root causes be made clear. The making them clear, however, is difficult because their root causes are very various and uncertain. However, These tools have limits that they do not adapt all operating situations and circumstances such as design base events. The purpose of this study is to improve the rare human error hazards consider the situational contex. Through this challenging try based on evidences to the human errors could be useful to prevent rare and critical events can occur in the future.

  • The management of safety at sea is based on a set of internationally accepted regulations and codes, governing or guiding the design and operation of ships. The regulations most directly concerned with human safety and protection of the environment are, in general, agreed internationally through the International Maritime Organization(IMO). IMO has continuously dealt with safety problems and, recognized that the human element is a key factor in both safety and pollution prevention issues(IMO, 2010). This paper proposes a human error analysis methodology which is based on the human error taxonomy and theories (SHELL model, GEMS model and etc.) that were discussed in the IMO guidelines for the investigation of human factors in marine casualties and incidents. In this paper, a cognitive process model, a human error analysis technique and a marine accident causal chains focused on human factors are discussed, and towing vessel collision accidents are analyzed as a case study in order to examine the applicability of the human error analysis technique to marine accidents. Also human errors related to those towing vessel collision accidents and their underlying factors are discussed in detail.

  • While human error happens repeatedly in the semiconductor industry in Korea, which has brought a tremendous loss from manpower, welfare etc., there are limitations to human error prevention activities. When a semiconductor company introduces new machines and facilities from Japan or Germany, the companies often do not consider human factors in the design. Also, semiconductor companies are so occupied with promoting increased productivity, their attention to human errors has been pushed aside. Negative aspects of technical exchange associated with safety management are one aspect of the industry's nature. A semiconductor company recently began acknowledging on the back of TQM(Total Quality Management) that human error has a decisive effect on the safety. There are a number of uncontrollable and hard to handle event sets because the nature of these events with a human error may often be threatened or very intensive. It is strongly required that systemic studies should be performed to grasp the whole picture of a current situation for hazard factors. This study aims to examine the human error approach through the case of human error prevention field activities in a semiconductor industry compared with the activities and experience in nuclear power plants.
