  • This paper is to find how does service orientation of organization and human resource job satisfaction affect its customer orientation, that is, its service attitude and behavior toward customer. Purpose of this study is also to measure the level of employees' customer orientation more systemic. Consequently, the correlation between service orientation and performance can be identified and more effective guideline for service quality management can be draw through this study. The findings of this paper are as followings; Firstly, it is found that reward system and CEO's vision toward service orientation affect employee's job satisfaction positively, It's analyzed on Gap analysis model of PZB. Secondly, in point of inner marketing, employee who is satisfied with his job shows higher customer orientation. Thirdly, strategy change of organization in response to environment change in hospital industry influences on performance positively.

A Study on Types of Home Managers Based on the Conditions for Effective Home Management, Resourcefulness and Communication (효과적 가정관리 조건, 자원유용성 및 의사소통에 따른 가정관리자 유형 연구)

  • The primary purpose of this study was to analyze the types of home managers in association with effects of resourcefulness, communication and the conditions for effective home management' proposed by Shape and Winter(1991). A survey was conducted by subjects of 300 wives in Kwangju city. The statistical data were obtained by cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's test and chi-square test. Manager types based on the four conditions, resourcefulness and communication were classified into four clusters. Educational background, job status, family types, family life cycle and age difference between the oldest and the youngest child of the subjects were different from manager types. In conclusion, this study identified the four conditions of performance-condition dichotomy, timing, high level and middle range, resourcefulness, and communications in order to develop managerial capability.   • The more the lift environment eastern idea, culture, factory automation system and information technology complicates, the more the various human error brings about. It brings about all kind of accidents and occupational diseases. Also the death and sickness or injury by psychological stress among the human error has increased every year. Therefore this paper describes the Korean lift change unit model through statistical testing with the proposed life change unit factors on the married workers living the middle area. The proposed model can be simply used in order to minimize the industrial accident and human error in real fields. Finally, the result will be helpful for the better safety management.

Indoor Surveillance Camera based Human Centric Lighting Control for Smart Building Lighting Management

  • The human centric lighting (HCL) control is a major focus point of the smart lighting system design to provide energy efficient and people mood rhythmic motivation lighting in smart buildings. This paper proposes the HCL control using indoor surveillance camera to improve the human motivation and well-beings in the indoor environments like residential and industrial buildings. In this proposed approach, the indoor surveillance camera video streams are used to predict the day lights and occupancy, occupancy specific emotional features predictions using the advanced computer vision techniques, and this human centric features are transmitted to the smart building light management system. The smart building light management system connected with internet of things (IoT) featured lighting devices and controls the light illumination of the objective human specific lighting devices. The proposed concept experimental model implemented using RGB LED lighting devices connected with IoT features open-source controller in the network along with networked video surveillance solution. The experiment results are verified with custom made automatic lighting control demon application integrated with OpenCV framework based computer vision methods to predict the human centric features and based on the estimated features the lighting illumination level and colors are controlled automatically. The experiment results received from the demon system are analyzed and used for the real-time development of a lighting system control strategy.

Conceptual Models of Violation Error in a Nuclear Power Plant (원자력 산업의 위반오류 발생 메커니즘 개발 및 유형 분류)

  • Although many studies have been conducted to find solutions to deal with human errors effectively, violations have been rarely studied in depth. The violation is a type of human error when an employee takes an action with intention but does not intend harmful outcomes. Violations have characteristics similar to other types of human errors but it is difficult to understand the intention of an employee from accident reports. The objective of this study is to develop a conceptual model of violation errors for preventing accidents/failures in a nuclear power plant from violation errors. Based on the previous studies, the characteristics of violations were collected in 9 categories and 136 items. They were classified into three-kinds of characteristics (human-related, task-related, organization-related characteristics) to construct conceptual models of routine/situational violations. The representative cases of accidents/failures in a nuclear power plant were analyzed to derive the specific types of routine/situational violation occurrence. Three types of conceptual model for each violation were derived according to whether the basic, human-related, and task-related characteristics are included or not. The conceptual models can be utilized to develop guidelines to support employees preventing routine/situational violations and to develop supportive system in nuclear power plant.

Multi-camera-based 3D Human Pose Estimation for Close-Proximity Human-robot Collaboration in Construction

  • With the advance of robot capabilities and functionalities, construction robots assisting construction workers have been increasingly deployed on construction sites to improve safety, efficiency and productivity. For close-proximity human-robot collaboration in construction sites, robots need to be aware of the context, especially construction worker's behavior, in real-time to avoid collision with workers. To recognize human behavior, most previous studies obtained 3D human poses using a single camera or an RGB-depth (RGB-D) camera. However, single-camera detection has limitations such as occlusions, detection failure, and sensor malfunction, and an RGB-D camera may suffer from interference from lighting conditions and surface material. To address these issues, this study proposes a novel method of 3D human pose estimation by extracting 2D location of each joint from multiple images captured at the same time from different viewpoints, fusing each joint's 2D locations, and estimating the 3D joint location. For higher accuracy, the probabilistic representation is used to extract the 2D location of the joints, considering each joint location extracted from images as a noisy partial observation. Then, this study estimates the 3D human pose by fusing the probabilistic 2D joint locations to maximize the likelihood. The proposed method was evaluated in both simulation and laboratory settings, and the results demonstrated the accuracy of estimation and the feasibility in practice. This study contributes to ensuring human safety in close-proximity human-robot collaboration by providing a novel method of 3D human pose estimation.
