  • Press machine has advantages over other manufacturing machine which can produce large quantities of products in short time so it is widely used in lots of industrial sectors. To obtain the vehicle's weight lightening and rigidity of the body-frame by applying 'Hot stamping' technique is increasing in the automotive field. In this paper, to improve the irregular vibration arose by 800Ton hot stamping press, the research was continued. Bed, slide and main frame are the key part of working precision, so perform structural analysis was conducted, and based on the analyzing results, structural changes were done on the parts where structural deformation occurred.

진공 Hot Press법에 의한 TiNi/6061Al 지적 복합재료의 확산층 형성거동 (Behavior of Diffusion Layer Formation for TiNi/6061Al Smart Composites by Vacuum hot Press)

  • 2.7vol%TiNi/6061 Al composites with TiNi shape memory alloy as reinforcement were fabricated by vacuum hot press. It was investigated by OM, SEM, EPMA and XRD analysis for the behavior of diffusion layer formation on various heat treatment condition. Thickness of diffusion layer was increased proportionally according to heat treatment time. The layer was formed by the mutual diffusion of TiNi and Al. The diffusion rate from TiNi fiber to Al matrix was faster than that of reverse diffusion path. The more diffused layer was formed in Al matrix. The diffusion at interface layer was consisted of $A1_3$Ti, $Al_3$Ni analyzed by EPMA, XRD results.

보론강 핫 프레스 포밍 공정에 대한 가상생산 응용 및 검증 (Application and Verification of Virtual Manufacturing to Hot Press Forming Process with Boron Steel)

  • A virtual manufacturing system that is composed of JMatPro, a material modeler and $DEFORM^{TM}$-HT, a finite element package is applied to the hot press forming process: high temperature material properties for each phase such as flow stress, elastic modulus, Poisson's ratio, thermal expansion coefficient, in addition to TTT curve are predicted by JMatPro and taken into $DEFORM^{TM}$-HT to predict the material behavior considering phase transformation and heat transfer simultaneously. In order to verify the accuracy of computation, the residual stress and the springback were compared with the experimental measurements. Both the predicted and measured principal residual stresses and amount of springback were in good agreement. It was also found that the residual stresses generated from hot press forming are not negligible as it has been generally assumed, although the springback deformation is quite small.

  • 돼지 뒷다리 부위의 발골시간이 프레스햄의 품질에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자, 본 실험을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 원료육의 pH는 두 근육 모두 온도체 발골육이 유의적으로(p<0.05) 높았으며, 온도체 발골육 중 SM이 BF 보다 유의적으로(p<0.05) 높은 pH값을 보였다. 표면 육색의 경우 온도체 발골육의 명도(L*) 값이 냉도체 발골육보다 유의적으로(p<0.05) 낮게 나타났으며, 온도체 발골육 중 SM이 BF 보다 유의적으로(p<0.05) 낮은 명도 값을 나타내었다. 또한 온도체 발골육의 근절길이는 냉도체 발골육보다 긴 것으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 제품의 색 및 pH는 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았지만, 온도체 발골육으로 제조한 프레스햄의 경도에서 냉도체보다 유의적으로(p<0.05) 낮게 나타났다. 또한 전체적인 기호도에서 발골시간에 따른 차이보다는 온도체 발골 및 냉도체 발골육의 SM근육을 이용하여 제조된 프레스햄이 BF 근육보다 높은 기호도를 나타내었다.

균일 강도 핫스템핑 부품의 제조를 위한 냉각채널 최적 설계 및 V-벤딩 공정에의 적용 (Optimal Design Method of the Cooling Channel for Manufacturing the Hot Stamped Component with Uniform Strength and Application to V-bending Process)

  • In recent years, hot-stamped components are more increasingly used in the automotive industry in order to reduce weight and to improve the strength of vehicles. In hot stamping process, blank is hot formed and press hardened in a tool. However, in hot stamping without cooling channel, temperature of the tool increases gradually in mass production thus cannot meet the critical cooling rate to obtain high strength over 1500MPa. Warpage occurs in the hot stamped component due to non-uniform stress state caused by unbalanced cooling. Therefore, tools should be uniformly as well as rapidly cooled down by the coolant which flows through cooling channel. In this paper, optimal design method of cooling channel to obtain uniform and high strength of the component is proposed. Optimized cooling channel is applied to the hot press V-bending process. As a result of measuring strength, hardness and microstructure of the hot formed parts, it is known that the design methodology of cooling channel is effective to the hot stamping process.

진공백 핫 프레스 성형공정을 이용한 탄소섬유 복합재료의 제조와 공정비교 (Preparing of Carbon Fiber Composites Using by Vacuum Bag Hot-press Molding Process and Comparison with the other Molding Processes)

  • 본 연구에서는 우수한 물성과 표면품질을 가지는 오토클레이브 성형공법의 비효율적인 공정을 개선하여 탈 오토클레이브(Out-of-autoclave, 이하 OOA) 공정으로써 활용이 가능한 진공백 핫 프레스 공정(Vacuum bag hot-press, 이하 V-HP)을 이용하여 탄소섬유 복합재료를 제작하고 오토클레이브(Autoclave, 이하 AC) 공정과 핫 프레스공정(Hot-press, 이하 HP)으로 제작된 복합재료간 물성 및 미세구조를 분석하였으며, OOA공정으로의 가능성을 확인하였다. V-HP공정을 사용한 복합재료의 인장강도는 320.6 MPa로써, AC공정을 이용한 복합재료의 인장강도 335.3 MPa에 상당히 근접한 물성을 보이는 것을 확인하였다. SEM을 이용한 복합재료 표면품질을 확인한 결과 V-HP공정의 경우, 수지내 휘발용매로 인한 기공의 제거상태가 AC공정과 비교하여 다소 낮으나 HP공정과 비교하여 상당히 우수한 표면을 가지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In general, final width of hot strip should be accomplished in this stage because width reduction of strip hardly appears during typical finishing mill. However, it is difficult to control the width of strip in the roughing mill process as the horizontal rolling of strip is subsequently performed after the vertical rolling. It is therefore important to obtain the deformation rolling direction on strip width to minimize the width spread of strip during horizontal rolling after vertical rolling. Generally there is Sizing press type and Edger-roll type. The width reduction process in sizing press has small amount of width spread compared with the edger. However, productivity by the sizing press process is much lower than those of the edger. In this study, sizing press and Edger-roll process parameters in a sheet rolling mill were set at specified values and the effect of the change in these parameters on product quality and process performance were evaluated.

수열 Hot press법에 의한 화강암폐재의 고화체형성과 AE특성 평가에 관한 연구 (Study on Evaluation of the Solidified Granitic Rock by Hydrothermal Hot Press Method and AE Characteristics)

  • 본 연구는 화강암 폐재의 재활용을 목적으로 한 기초적인 연구로서, 분말형태의 화강암폐재를 Ca(OH2)와 혼합하여 수열 hot press 법에 의해 고화시켰다. 아울러 고화체의 기계적 성질을 평가하였으며, 미시적 조직구조의 변화 및 파괴거동을 파악하기 위해 음향방출실험을 실시하였다. 고화체의 기계적 성질은 수열온도의 의존성이 있었으며, 28$0^{\circ}C$에서 최대강도를 보였다. 또한 고화체의 파면은 수열온도에 따라 현저히 다른 양상을 보였으며, 수열실험동안 다양한 화합물이 생성되었다. 그 중에서 cyclowollastonite, tobermorite 및 rankinite 등은 강도를 향상시키는 주된 화합물이었고, crossite 및 xonotlite 등은 강도의 저하를 초래하였다. 한편, 기공이 많이 존재할수록 AE counts는 더많이 발생하였으며, 최대하중에서 AE counts는 최대치를 보였고, 강도가 증가함에 따라 AE신호는 보다 많이 방출되었다.

열간압연 프레스용 가열드럼 저어널부의 응력집중 최소화를 위한 형상 최적설계 (Shape Optimal Design to Minimize Stress Concentration in the Journal of the Heating Drum for a Hot-Rolling Press)

  • The present research deals with structural analysis and optimal design of the heating drum of a hot-rolling press for medium density fiberboard. Stress concentration in the journal of the heating drum is analyzed by the submodel technique of the finite element method. The fatigue life under operating conditions is analyzed and evaluated by the stress-life theory. Shape optimal design problems, to minimize the maximum stress occurring in the journal, are formulated and shape parameters of the corner fillets of the journal are defined as the design variables. The problems are solved by the numerical optimization method and optimal shapes are found. The optimal designs are shown to be reliable in terms of the maximum stress and the fatigue life.

핫프레스 포밍 공정에서의 열전달 특성에 대한 연구 (Study on Heat Transfer Characteristic in Hot Press Forming Process)

  • The heat transfer characteristics between die and sheet and die and coolant are important parameters in hot press forming process. The determination of the quenching time that guarantees full martensitic transformation requires proper understanding of these heat transfer characteristics. The contact area changes drastically during the quenching process due to volume changes of both die and sheet by temperature drop as well as phase transformation. Several types of modeling techniques are tested in order to select the most suitable. The effect of quenching time as well as die heat conductivity on martensitic transformation is investigated and predictions are compared to experimental results.
