전기장판 열선 결함에 의한 전기화재 원인분석 (Fire Cause Analysis on Electric Pad Due to Defect of Hot Wires)

  • This paper describes electrical fire on electric pad caused by defect of hot wires. We analyzed two type electric pad using by carbon type hot wire and magnetic shielded type hot wire. First, a carbon type hot wires electric pad is virtually impossible to connect hot wire as a method of electrical welding or soldering. In order to connect between hot wires, that has to splice carbon type material connector. If junction of hot wires was occurrence of poor connection on electric pad, it increase contact resistance on this junction point. With increasing contact resistance, junction of hot wires on electric pad generates local heating and finally leads to electrical fire. An electric pad using by a magnetic shielded type hot wire happened local heating on signal wire for sensing temperature-rise caused by applying current for magnetic shielded. With increasing local heating of signal wire, insulated coating of hot wire was melted. Finally the magnetic shielded type hot wire electric pad lead to electrical fire with breakdown between signal wire and hot wire. In this paper, we analyzed shape of damage in hot wire caused by electrical local heating and investigated fire cause on electric pad due to defect of hot wires.

열선 유속계에 대한 유체 온도의 보정 (The Correction of Fluid Temperature for Hot-wire Anemometer)

  • This paper reports by simple method that is quickly corrected the effects of fluid temperature for the hot wire anemometer. We are concerned with a variable output of hot wire anemometer on arbitrary fluid temperature. Hot wire by measuring boundary layer of turbulent flow has been calibrated by arbitrary temperature lower than 10$0^{\circ}C$, and velocity lower than 20m/s. As a result, we could pick up the temperature factor affected by output of hot wire anemometer from related in output of arbitrary temperature to output of room temperature. By using temperature factor on the output of hot wire anemometer, we also obtained that the relationship of velocity was of no effect by temperature of fluids. About results of calibrated hot wire, uncertainly of velocity is 2.15% at room temperature and 3.1% at arbitrary temperature.

비정상 피복열선법 열전도도 측정시 시간-온도 특성에 대한 점근해 (Large Time Asymptotic Solution for Unsteady Heat Conduction Problem of Coated Hot-Wire Thermal Conductivity Measurement)

  • A large time asymptotic solution for an unsteady heat conduction problem of a coated hot wire thermal conductivity measurement process was theoretically found. The solution revealed that the slope of wire temperature versus logarthmic time, which is used to evaluate the thermal conductivity, remains unchanged for large values of time even if a layer of coating is present on the hot wire. The significance of this result is that the thermal conductivity of an electrically conductive fluid can be measured with a coated hot wire using the same conversion relation as for a bare wire.

다수의 분할된 긴 열선과 짧은 열선을 갖는 새로운 비정상열선법 센서개발 (Development of a New Sensor with Divided Multiple Long and Short Wires in Transient Hot-wire Technique)

  • A fine hot-wire is used both as a heating element and a temperature sensor in transient hot-wire method. The traditional sensor system is unnecessarily big so that it takes large fluid volume to measure the thermal conductivity. To dramatically reduce this fluid volume, a new sensor fabrication and a data processing method are proposed in this article. Contrast to the conventional and most popular two wire sensor, the new sensor system is made up of divided multiple long and short wires. Through validation experiments, it is found that the measured thermal conductivities of the glycerin are exactly same each other between the conventional and proposed new method. Also some technical considerations in arranging the multiple wires are briefly discussed.

  • 본 연구에서는 경사진 hot-wire probe 의 특성값을 구하고 열선풍속계의 응답식으로부터 수평원통관내에서 3차원 흐름의 속도성분과 난류 강도 그리고 전단 응력을 pitot tube의 결과와 비교 연구하였다. 또한, 속도 및 난류 강도에 관한 유도된 식을 swirling flow에도 적용하여 만족한 결과를 얻었다.

  • Hard disk drived (HDD) in computer are used extensively as data storage capacity. The trend in the computer industry to produce smaller disk drives rotating at higher speeds requires an improved understanding of fluid motion in the space between disks. The distribution of pressure disturbance on disks has relation to flow structure. To investigate the flow structure, time-resolved hot-wire measurements of the circumferential velocity component were obtained for the flow between the center pair of four disks of common radius $R_2$ coretating at angular velocity ${\Omega}$ in a fixed cylindrical enclosure. Hot-wire supporter acts as an obstruction in this case. The effects of rotating speed and size of hot-wire supporter diameter between disks on the flow driven by disks were investigated. Velocity spectra at the fixed space were measured to obtain the structure of inner and outer region in flow field.

  • In the present study, flow visualizations, hot-wire velocity measurements and computational fluid dynamics were performed in order to determine complicated air flow characteristics in a neonate incubator. In this study, following conclusions can be made: (1) The flow visualization technique developed in the present study revealed an enough qualitative information for the flow field in the neonate incubator. Flow structures in a neonate incubator with a realistic three-dimensional shape was successfully visualized the present study. (2) Results from the flow visualization were relatively in good agreements with those obtained from the computational fluid dynamics. (3) Velocities very near the neonate measured by the hot-wire anemometer were relevant to those obtained from the computational fluid dynamics. (4) Temperatures were higher at the neck region and the medial aspect of both thighs, but lower in both extremities. (5) Small vortices between the neonate and the mattress might interfere with convective and evaporative heat transfers on the neonate's surface. In the fluid dynamic aspect, it is important to eliminate the formation of these small vortices for the design of incubator chamber.

  • This paper presents deposition and characterizations of microcrystalline silicon$({\mu}c-Si:H)$ films prepared by hot wire chemical vapor deposition at substrate temperature below $300^{\circ}C$. The $SiH_{4}$ concentration$[F(SiH_{4})/F(SiH_{4})+F(H_{2})]$ is critical parameter for the formation of Si films with microcrystalline phase. At 6% of silane concentration, deposited intrinsic ${\mu}c-Si:H$ films shows sufficiently low dark conductivity and high photo sensitivity for solar cell applications. P-type ${\mu}c-Si:H$ films deposited by Hot-Wire CVD also shows good electrical properties by varying the rate of $B_{2}H_{6}$ to $SiH_{4}$ gas. The solar cells with structure of Al/nip ${\mu}c-Si:H$/TCO/glass was fabricated with single chamber Hot-Wire CVD. About 3% solar efficiency was obtained and applicability of HWCVD for thin film solar cells was proven in this research.
