  • In this paper. the proposed method for the digital watermarking is based on the multiresolution wavelet transform. The 1-level Discrete Wavelet Transform(DWT) coefficients of a $2N_{wx}{\times}2N_{wy}$ binary logo image used as a watermarks. The LL band and middle frequency band of the host image that the 3-level DWT has been performed are divided into $N_{wx}{\times}N_{wy}$ size and we use large coefficients at the divided blocks to make threshold. we set the thresholds that completely insert the watermark in each frequency of the host image. The thresholds in each frequency of the host image differ each other. The watermarks where is the same positions are added to the larger coefficients than threshold in the blocks at LL band and middle frequency band in order to prevent the quality deterioration of the host image. The watermarks are inserted in LL band and middle frequency band of the host image. In order to be invisibility of the watermark, the Human Visual System(HVS) is applied to the watermark. We prove the proper embedding method by experiment. We rapidly detect the watermark using this watermarking method. And because the small size watermarks are inserted by HVS, the results confirm the superiority of the proposed method on invisibility and robustness.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to advance the understanding of the relationship between host country image and cultural intelligence (CQ) on the attractiveness of expatriate destinations. Specifically, this study compares the different impacts of CQ on the relationship between host country image and subsidiary attractiveness by comparing a US-based subsidiary and a Vietnam-based one. Research design and methodology - A total of 445 Korean full-time workers responded through an online survey. The survey randomly showed the participants one of two conditions for a potential expatriate location. The participants were asked to answer a series of questions on the organizational attractiveness of the subsidiaries from the perspective of an expatriate candidate and respond to a series of questions on individual CQ. Results - Through a two-way ANOVA test, the results reveal that Korean expatriate candidates perceive that a Vietnam-based subsidiary is a less attractive destination for international assignment when compared to a US-based subsidiary. In addition, the positive moderating effect of cultural intelligence on the relationship between the host location and the subsidiary's attractiveness is stronger when Vietnam, rather than the US, is the assignment location. Conclusions - Drawing upon AUM theory, this study confirmed that unfavorable country image affects subsidiaries' attractiveness for expatriate candidates, due to anxiety. However, this study showed the role of employees' CQ to mitigate these challenges. This study suggests providing information on positive conditions of expatriate locations and building systematic process for enhancing individual CQ for organizations.

  • Reversible data hiding enables the embedding of messages in a host image without any loss of host content, which is proposed for image authentication that if the watermarked image is deemed authentic, we can revert it to the exact copy of the original image before the embedding occurred. In this paper, we present an improved histogram-based reversible data hiding scheme based on prediction and sorting. A rhombus prediction is employed to explore the prediction for histogram-based embedding. Sorting the prediction has a good influence on increasing the embedding capacity. Characteristics of the pixel difference are used to achieve large hiding capacity while keeping low distortion. The proposed scheme exploits a two-stage embedding strategy to solve the problem about communicating peak points. We also present a histogram shifting technique to prevent overflow and underflow. Performance comparisons with other existing reversible data hiding schemes are provided to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed scheme.

  • Nowadays image processing is very useful for some field of traffic applications. The one reason is we can construct the system in a low price, the other is the improvement of hardware processing power, it can be more fast to processing the data. In traffic field, the development of image using system is interesting issue. Because it has the advantage of price of installation and it does not obstruct traffic during the installation. In this study, 1 propose the traffic monitoring system that implement on the embedded system environment. The whole system consists of two main part, one is host controller board, the other is image processing board. The part of host controller board take charge of control the total system interface of external environment, and OSD(On screen display). The part of image processing board takes charge of image input and output using video encoder and decoder, Image classification and memory control of using FPGA, control of mouse signal. And finally, for stable operation of host controller board, uC/OS-II operating system is ported on the board.

  • In this paper, we propose an approach to identify the driving environment for intelligent highway vehicles by means of image processing and computer vision techniques. The proposed approach mainly consists of two consecutive computational steps. The first step is the lane marking detection, which is used to identify the location of the host vehicle and road geometry. In this step, related standard image processing techniques are adapted for lane-related information. In the second step, by using the output from the first step, a four-stage algorithm for vehicle detection is proposed to provide information on the relative position and speed between the host vehicle and each preceding vehicle. The proposed approach has been validated in several real-world scenarios. Herein, experimental results indicate low false alarm and low false dismissal and have demonstrated the robustness of the proposed detection approach.

  • When host images are watermarked with CRT (Chinese Remainder Theorem), the watermark images are still robust in spite of the damage of the host images by maintaining the remainders in an unchanged state within some range of the changes that are incurred by the attacks. This advantage can also be attained by "zero-watermarking," which does not change the host images in any way. This paper proposes an improved zero-watermarking scheme for color images on the DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform) domain that is based on the CRT. In the scheme, RGB images are converted into YCbCr images, and one channel is used for the DCT transformation. A key is then computed from the DC and three low-frequency AC values of each DCT block using the CRT. The key finally becomes the watermark key after it is combined four times with a scrambled watermark image. When watermark images are extracted, each bit is determined by majority voting. This scheme shows that watermark images are robust against a number of common attacks such as sharpening, blurring, JPEG lossy compression, and cropping.

  • DBR/Host dual porous silicons containing DBR and host structure were prepared and their optical properties were characterized using Ocean Optics spectrometer. In this dual porous silicon, single porous silicon layer was used as host layer for possible biomolecule and drug materials and DBR porous silicon layer was used for signal transduction due to the recognition of molecules. Optical reflection spectrum of dual porous silicon displayed only DBR reflection but Fabry-Perot fringe pattern. DBR reflection band of dual porous silicon shifted to the shorter wavelength as the etching time of host layer increased. Cross-sectional FE-SEM image of dual porous silicon displayed a thickness of about 20 micrometer for DBR porous silicon layer. Developed etching technology could be useful to prepare DBR porous silicon which exhibited specific reflection resonance at the required wavelength and to provide an label-free biosensors and drug delivery materials.

  • This paper presents a robust watermarking approach that the frequency coefficients of the binary logo image are inserted in the DC and each frequency area of the host image for copyright protection of image data. We use the 1 level discrete wavelet transform(DWT) coefficients of 64*64 binary logo image as watermark because the presentation of a recognizable mark is much more convincing than numerical values and allows the opportunity to exploit the human visual system's ability to recognize a pattern. The proposed method makes use of 1-level DWT of the logo image, the DWT coefficients of the logo image are inserted by human visual system(HVS) and region of interest(ROI) in the frequency domain of the host image. Thereby, the detected logo image confirms copyright. Because small size watermark is inserted by HVS and ROI, the results confirm the superiority of the Proposed method on invisibility and robustness.

  • Digital watermarking has been proposed as a solution to the problem of copyright protection of the multimedia documents. In this paper a new watermarking method for digital images operating in the frequency domain is proposed. In our approach, DCT coefficients of the watermark are added to the low frequency region of the host image, and extract it using the Wiener Filter. Due to the characteristic of the wiener filtering, the watermark is robust to various image processing techniques. Experimental results show that it is possible to reliably extract the watermark without degrading image quality.
