Horvitz-Thompson(H-T)추정량이 확률비례추정량에 비해 효율이 떨어지는 경우가 있다 이를 극복하기 위해서 2단계 변수변환을 한다. 1단계로는 Midzuno-Sen추출을 적용하기 위해서 보조변수를 변환하고, 이로부터 얻은 포함확률을 H-T추정량에 사용할 때 분산을 줄이기 위해서 2단계로 연구변수를 변환하였다. 이러한 변환을 통해 얻은 추정량과 기존의 PPS 추정량들을 비교하였다.

Adaptive cluster sampling design is known as a sampling method for rare clustered population. Three modified adaptive cluster sampling designs are proposed. The adjusted Hansen-Hurwitz estimator and the Horvitz-Thompson estimator are considered. Efficiency issue of the proposed sampling designs is discussed in a Monte-Carlo simulation study.

불균등 확률 계통추출에서는 모집단 총합에 대한 Horvitz-Thompson 추정량의 대안적 분산 추정량들을 사용하게 된다. 이와 같은 모총합에 관한 분산 추정량들의 설계와 관련한 일반적인 방법은 균등 확률 계통추출에 대한 분산 추정량들에서 시작하고 비율 $y_i,/P_i$에 의한 추정량의 정의에서 $y_i$를 재배치하게 한다. 비선형 조사 통계학에서 추정량들 중의 하나로 테일러 급수 공식을 적용한다. 불균등 확률 계통추출에서의 분산은 8가지 방법으로 추정이 가능하므로 이를 이용한 분산추정량을 구해보고, 비복원 불균등 확률에서의 jackknife방법을 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 이들 분산추정량들에 대한 비교를 몇 가지 방법을 이용하여 알아보도록 한다.

Child labour is a disturbing issue for any society. It is attempted here in this article to develop an estimator to assess the numerical strength of this menace in Lahore division. A Horvitz and Thompson (1952) type of estimator is developed where weights are calculated on the basis of poverty and illiteracy to increase the sampling efficiency. Different characteristic features of this estimator, like its unbiasedness, variance, probability distribution, confidence intervals are also developed for its study from different angles.

보통 생태학 분야 등에 적용될 수 있는 적응집락추출계획(adaptive cluster sampling plan)을 수정하여, 표본의 크기 면에서 더 효율적인 Jumped 및 일반화 적응집락추출계획을 제안하였다. 이러한 계획 하에서 Hansen-Hurwitz(HH)와 Horvitz-Thompson (HT) 추정량으로 모수를 추정하였다. 제안한 새로운 계획들을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 기존의 계획과 비교하였다.

In this paper, we study the efficiency of the stratified estimator in related with the variance lower bound of Horvitz-Thompson estimator subject to the superpopulation model. Especially, we compare the variance lower bound of optimum allocation with that of power allocation subject to Dalenius-Hedges stratification.

모집단 단위들이 희박하게 존재하고 접근하기 어려운 경우에 적용하는 적응추출설계에서의 추출과정은 관심변수의 관측값에 의존한다. 동일한 표본크기에서 적응집락추출의 추정량은 단순임의추출의 추정량에 비해 효율이 더 좋다 적응추출에서 Rao-blackwell의 정리를 적용하여 Murthy의 추정량의 형태로 수정한 한센-휴비_(HH) 추정량과 호르비_-톰슨 (HT) 추정량은 기존의 추정량에 비해 작은 분산을 가진다. 본 연구는 초기표본을 바꿔가면서 기대표본크기와 적응추출의 표본크기 하의 단순임의추출의 추정량과 적응추출의 추정량의 효율을 비교하였다.
