PAR에 의한 강관 말뚝의 극한 수직 및 수평 지지력 예측 (Prediction on Ultimate Vertical and Horizontal Bearing Capacity of Steel Pipe Piles by Means of PAR)

  • 말뚝 해석 프로그램인 PAR에 의하여 말뚝의 극한 수직 및 수평 지지력을 예측할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였으며,현장에서 수행된 말뚝재하시험 결과들을 이용하여 PAR에 의한 사례연구를 수행하였다. PAR에 의해 해석된 말뚝의 극한지지력은 정재하시험에서 구한 지지력에 대하여 약 15%이내의 오차범위에 들었다. 또한, 강관말뚝들에 수행된 정재하시헙, 정.동재하시험 그리고 PDA 결과들을 비교하였으며, PAR에 의해 극한지지력을 예측하였다. PAR을 이용하면 말뚝의 축방향 하중의 분포를 예측할 수 있었으며, 여기서, 하중전이해석도 근사적으로 수행할 수 있었다.

열 파이프용 수평 축열조에서의 열 입력이 축열에 미치는 영향 (An Effect of Heat Input on Thermal Storage for Horizontal Thermal Storage Tank with Heat pipe)

  • 본 연구에서는 실제 열 파이프용 수평 축열조에서 등간격인 heating pad 수와 위치 및 공급열량을 변화시키면서 축열조내의 순수 Plume 유동특성을 파악하였다. 동일한 heating pad수를 가지고 집중 배치 형태와 분산 배치 형태를 취하였을 때 집중 배치 형태로 취하는 것이 $5{\sim}6%$ 정도의 더 높은 효율을 얻었다. 따라서 열 파이프용 수평 축열조에서 heating pad를 장착할 때 동일한 heating pad의 수에서는 집중(concentration)배치형태로 설계하는 것이 효과적임을 알 수 있다.

수평 2열 원통관 주위의 동결형상에 관한 연구 (Experimental Study for Ice Formation around Two Horizontal Circular Tubes)

  • Experimental study was performed for free convection and ice formation around two horizontal circular tubes which were placed vertically. Temperature and velocity distributions were visualized with real time holographic interferometry technique and tracer method. When water was cooled, super cooled region was formed around cooling pipe. It was found that flow induced by free convection always directed downwards when the coolant temperature was low, while it directed upwards when the coolant temperature was comparably high though it directed downwards initially. Flow phenomena with free convection were investigated in detail with varying cooling rate and length between cooling pipes. And growing process of dense ice was also investigated. Dendritic ice is suddenly formed within a supercooled region, and a dense ice layer begins to develop from the cooling wall.

경량기포혼합토로 뒷채움된 연성매설관의 거동특성 (Behavior Characteristics of Underground Flexible Pipe Backfilled with Lightweight Foamed Soil)

  • 본 연구에서는 현장잔토를 활용할 수 있고 다짐이 불필요하여 관로공사에 유용한 경량기포혼합토를 지중매설관의 뒷채움재로 이용할 경우 관로의 거동을 조사하기 위하여 시험시공을 실시하고 계측결과를 분석하였다. 동시에 동일한 조건의 새만금 준설토사 뒷채움 시공결과와 비교하였다. 연직토압의 경우 경량기포혼합토 뒷채움 시 준설토사 대비 초기 슬러리 상태에서 25.6% 가량 저감되었고 양생 후에는 준설토사 토압의 10% 이내에 불과하였다. 준설토사 뒷채움 시에는 경량기포혼합토 대비 수평토압의 경우 3.6배 이상, 연직 및 수평변위는 각각 3.2배와 2.6배 가량의 차이를 나타내어 경량기포혼합토의 토압 및 변위저감 효과가 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 매설관 상반부에서 측정된 응력의 경우 토사 뒷채움 시 대체로 압축응력이 발생한 반면, 경량기포혼합토를 타설한 경우 초기 슬러리 상태에서 발생한 부력으로 인하여 고정된 양단부를 지점으로 부(-)의 모멘트가 발생함으로써 상반부에 인장응력이 발생하는 결과를 얻었다. 결론적으로, 새만금에서 준설된 토사를 이용한 경량기포혼합토는 인근 개발지에서 매설관 뒷채움재로 활용하는데 있어 준설토사와 비교하여 매우 우수한 재료이나 타설 시 부력에 대한 대책이 필요하다.

소결금속 윅과 메탄올을 사용하며 바이패스라인이 부착된 루프히트파이프의 작동 특성 (Operating Characteristics of a Sintered-Metal Wick/Methanol Loop Heat Pipe Having a Bypass Line)

  • Operating characteristics of a loop heat pipe (LHP) having a bypass line was investigated experimentally. The LHP had a sintered metal wick as a capillary structure and methanol as a working fluid. The sintered metal wick was made of stainless steel of which the average pore size was 5 ${\mu}m$and porosity of 47%. A bypass line of a small diameter was attached between the vapor escape passage and the liquid reservoir. The dimension of the flat evaporator was $50(L){\times}40(W){\times}30(H)$ mm and that of the condenser was $50(L){\times}40(W){\times}11(H)$ mm. Wall and pipe material of the LHP was stainless steel and heating area was 35(W) mm${\times}$35(L) mm. The inner diameters of vapor and liquid transport lines were 4.0 mm and 2.0 mm, and the lengths of the two lines were both 0.5 m. The LHP was tested for three different tilt angles of horizontal, favorite tilt, and adverse tilt. The thermal load range was up to 290 W at the condenser above evaporation position. Furthermore, the effect of a bypass line on the start-up transient as well as steady-state operation was presented and discussed.

The Study on Pressure Oscillation and Heat Transfer Characteristics of Oscillating Capillary Tube Heat Pipe

  • In the present study, the characteristics of pressure oscillation and heat transfer performance in an oscillating capillary tube heat pipe were experimentally investigated with respect to the heat flux, the charging ratio of working fluid, and the inclination angle to the horizontal orientation. The experimental results showed that the frequency of pressure oscillation was between 0.1 Hz and 1.5 Hz at the charging ratio of 40 vol.%. The saturation pressure of working fluid in the oscillating capillary tube heat pipe increased as the heat flux was increased. Also, as the charging ratio of working fluid was increased, the amplitude of pressure oscillation increased. When the pressure waves were symmetric sinusoidal waves at the charging ratios of 40 vol.% and 60 vol.%, the heat transfer performance was improved. At the charging ratios of 20 vol.% and 80 vol.%, the waveforms of pressure oscillation were more complicated, and the heat transfer performance reduced. At the charging ratio of 40. vol.%, the heat transfer performance of the OCHP was at the best when the inclination angle was 90$^{\circ}$ the pressure wave was a sinusoidal waveform, the pressure difference was at the least, the oscillation amplitude was at the least, and the frequency of pressure oscillation was the highest.

협소구역 수직 주행을 위한 지형 적응/인지 이동 로봇의 설계 (Design of Mobile Adaptation/Sensing Robot for Vertical Passage in Narrow Space)

  • The robot for narrow space is used in searching, investigating or cleaning. Up to now variety of researches on in-pipe robots have been introduced. However it is still hard to overcome vertical or curved passage. In most cases of narrow space robots are able to travel just aimed diameter which was selected when those are developed. Also, a large percentage of robots are not able to detect the configuration of pipe or circumstance. In this paper we present a robot called PAROYSⅡ for narrow space with vertical and curved passage. This proposed robot is not affected at all to variance of pipes, vertical or horizontal passages, curved pipes, projecting parts and parallel planes. In addition to that, it will perceive the internal configuration of pipe and terrain, which will be not only available to control navigating scheme by itself, but also mappable about the passage which the robot traveled. Core points in the design and structure are introduced and preliminary verification is given.

비이온계 계면활성제 첨가수에 대한 관내 유동저항 감소 및 열전달 촉진에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Drag Reduction Effect and Heat Transfer Enhancement of Non ionized Surfactant and Water Mixture in a Circular Pipe Flow)

  • This paper has dealt with the effect of non ionized surfactant and water mixture on drag reduction and heat transfer enhancement in a circular pipe flow with experimentally. The test section was consisted of stainless steel pipe with inside diameter of 16mm. The wire coil was used to increase heat transfer in a pipe and the on ionized surfactant(Oleyl Dihydroxyethyl Amino Oxide, ODEAO) was used to reduce the drag force of water mixture with surfactant. The main parameters of this experiment were diameter and pitch of wire coil and the ratio of test section length and horizontal wire coil length. In this experiment, the acquired results were 1) Drag reduction effect existed in this ODEAO-water mixture, 2) Friction factor and heat transfer were increased with insertion the heat transfer enhancement coil, 3) With increasing of pitch ratio, heat transfer was decreased, and 4) Heat transfer was decreased by the decreasing of inserting coil diameter.

파이프 트러스교의 동적특성 분석을 위한 바이모달트램 주행실험연구 (A Speed Increasing Test of BIMODALTRAM for Dynamic Response Analysis of Pipe-truss Bridges)

  • 바이모달트램(Bimodal tram)은 현행 교통체계를 해소하고자 도입되는 신형식 차량으로 버스와 지하철의 장점을 지니고 있는 시스템이다. 이러한 차량의 도입으로 인해 전용선로인 파이프트러스교가 건설 되어지는데 기존에 시공되지 않은 새로운 형식의 교량으로 이에 대한 동적응답 특성에 대한 분석이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 바이모달트램의 전용선로인 파이프 트러스교에 대하여 교량 하부에 센서를 부착하여 차량의 주행실험을 실시하였다. 또한, 실험을 통하여 신형식 교량에 대한 변위 및 최대 수직 수평가속도를 계측하여 동적응답 특성을 분석하였다. 이러한 실험결과를 바탕으로 수치해석을 실시하여 증속주행에 대한 거동을 예측하였다.

FE analysis of RC pipes under three-edge-bearing test: Pocket and diameter influence

  • This paper studies on the behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) pipes used in basic sanitation in the conduction of storm water and sanitary sewer. Pipes with 800 mm and 1200 mm in diameter were analyzed. The 800 mm pipes were built with simple reinforcement and the 1200 mm pipes with double reinforcement. For the two diameters of pipes the presence or absence of the pocket was evaluated, and the denomination of each one is spigot and pocket pipe (SPP) and ogee joint pipe (OJP), respectively. The 3D numerical models reproduce the three-edge-bearing test that provides information about the strength and stiffness of the reinforced concrete pipes. The validation of the computational models was carried out comparing the vertical and horizontal displacements on the springline and crown/invert and it was also evaluated the reinforcement strains and the crack pattern. As a main conclusion, the numerical models represented satisfactorily the behavior of the pipes and can be used in future studies in parametric analysis.
