Education based on the health belief model to improve the level of physical activity

  • [Purpose] This study aimed to investigate the effect of education based on the health belief model on the physical activity of the staff of the University of Medical Sciences. [Methods] This semi-experimental study was conducted on 130 university staff aged 25-50 years from the Hamadan University of Medical Sciences. Inclusion criteria were having at least 1 year of work experience, lack of acute and chronic physical and mental illnesses, and not using drugs that affect physical activity. The samples were randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group received three training sessions based on the health belief model. Before and 2 months after training, the control and experimental groups were evaluated via the following questionnaires: (1) demographic information questionnaire, (2) Health Belief Model Questionnaire, and (3) International Physical Activity Questionnaire. Finally, data were analyzed statistically. [Results] The training process resulted in a significant increase in the mean scores of the health belief model constructs in the experimental group, but changes in the control group were not significant. Self-efficacy was the strongest predictor of physical activity. [Conclusion] The health belief model is a useful model for improving individuals' understanding of the benefits of physical activity.

한국 가족문화교육 프로그램의 방향 탐색 (The Searching for the Direction of Korean Family Culture Education Program)

  • As the social change has been occured by industrialization and urbanization, making valuable family culture has come to be a social task. The development of family culture education program is required to create future - oriented family culture. This study aims at searching for the direction of family culture education program in Korea development to sere creating desirable family culture. For this study the concepts of family culture and family culture education were defined and the characteristics and problems of Korean family culture were discussed. Based on these discussion, the direction of family culture educational program was proposed. The directions of Korean family culture education program were suggested promotion communitarian consciousness, balancing between traditional and modern value, creating democratization among generations and genders, eqyipping with constructive communication channel, and encouraging autonomy and creativity. To work out these directions, appropriate and educational model should be mobilized to incilude whole family.

신용카드 사용에 관한 소비자교육프로그램개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of Consumer′s Educational Program in Using Credit Card)

  • This study aims to develop an educational program in using credit card for undergraduate students. In order to achieve this aim, a processor has been followed. first of all, a fundamental work to select the educational contents was Preceded with a survey of learners' needs, case studies of counselling at Consumer Protection Board, and preceding studies. After choice of educational contents, learners' demands on how to manage the educational program was executed in advance. Second, reflecting the above mentioned educational contents, a concrete educational program was built. Based on the constructed plans, both preliminary training and main training were proceeded. Third, to evaluate the effects of the educational program, the knowledge difference, behaviors and attitude changes were all diagnosed. The result suggested that the educational effect was significant in all evaluations section. At last, final program of using credit cards was completed.

  • The purposes of this study are to investigate the relationship between the Piaget’s cognitive developmental theory and the practical course subject in elementary school which have the characteristics of skillful subject and living subject, and to discriminate the suitability of contents of the practical course subject for the childrens’level of cognitive development. This work could serve the theoretical background that the practical course subject presents practical experiences which lead the development of logicomathematical thinking abilities. The results of the content analysis shows that create activities develop the logicomathematical thinking abilities such as projective geometry, topology geometry, area conservation, length & distance conservation, and volume & mass conservation. And the most contents of the practical course subject are suitable for the childrens’level of cognitive development.

  • 본 연구는 서울대도시권을 대상으로 토지이용패턴과 통행수단선택간의 관계를 경헙적으로 분석하여 수도권 토지이용 및 교통정책에 시사점을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 다중 로짓모형을 이용한 분석에서 직장 및 주거빌도가 높을수록 전철과 버스 등 대중교퉁수단에 대한 의존도를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 직장중심지의 경우 버스보다는 자가용이용율이 높은 것으로 나타나 고밀도 정책이 반드시 대중교통수단으로의 이동을 의미하는 것은 아니라는 사실을 경험적으로 입증하고 있다.

결혼이주여성의 공적개발원조 사업 참여를 위한 탐색적 연구 (Exploratory Research on Married Immigrant Women's Participation in the Official Development Assistance Programs)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the possibility of recruiting married immigrant women to participate in the Official Development Assistance (ODA) program. We used focus group interviews to understand their experiences with ODA, their intent to participate in the ODA, and the resources and barriers to ODA participation. The data were collected from 14 married immigrant women who were actively engaged in the labor force in Seoul and Gyunggi areas. Data were analyzed based on the thematic analysis method. Four themes were identified including the women's experiences, motivation, barriers, and resources for ODA participation. Out of the 14 women, three had participated in the ODA and were happy with the experiences. The rest of the women wanted to participate in the ODA that supported their home countries. The results also highlighted that these married immigrant women had capabilities including a strong desire to participate in vocational development and support from their families, but they also had barriers to overcome such as a lack of work capacity, child care burden, and difficulty forming relationships with Korean colleagues. Despite these barriers, they were motivated to participate in the ODA since it would be very meaningful for them to help their home country and to improve awareness of Korea and married immigrant women. It is important to develop vocational education programs for these women to enhance the work skills that are needed in the ODA.

가정과 교과서에 나타난 아버지 역할의 변화 (A Study on the Change in the Representation of Father Involvement in Home Economics Textbook)

  • 본 연구는 양성평등사회가 진행되는 과정에서 가정과 교과서에 제시된 아버지 역할이 어떻게 변화해 왔는지를 파악하여, 양성평등 관점에서 아버지 역할의 기준 마련을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해, 가정과 교과서 본문과 사진 및 삽화에 나타난 아버지 역할을 검토하였다. 이를 위해, 제1차부터 2007 개정까지의 교육과정에 기초하여 집필된 고등학교 가정과 교과서 총34권을 분석 대상으로, 교과서 본문과 보충자료, 그리고 사진 및 삽화에 대한 내용분석과 계량분석을 하였다. 이를 통해 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 제1차~3차 교육과정에 기초한 가정과 교과서에서는 전통적 아버지의 역할만 서술되고 있었으며, 사진과 삽화에서도 구체적인 아버지의 역할은 보이지 않았다. 둘째, 제4차~5차 교육과정에 기초한 가정과 교과서에서는 가사 분담을 하는 아버지의 모습이 등장하는 등 아버지 역할에 변화가 시작되었다. 셋째, 제6차 교육과정에 기초한 교과서에서의 아버지는 자녀 양육의 공동책임자로, 육아와 가사 분담에 보다 적극적인 역할이 제시되고 있었다. 넷째, 제7차~2007 개정 교육과정에 기초한 가정과 교과서에의 아버지는 양육의 역할이 강조되어 제시되고 있었다. 특히, 양성평등사회를 더욱 지향하기 위해 아버지의 가사, 일 우선 사고의 시정, 양성평등 관련 내용 등 다양한 내용이 제시되었다. 이상의 결과를 통해, 가정과 교과서에서는 양성평등 관련 내용이나 양성평등 관점의 아버지 역할 내용 서술은 꾸준히 증가되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 여전히 가정 내 아버지 역할에서 성 역할 분업의 혼재, 사회 요구에 대해 임시방편적인 반응 모습 등 문제점이 남아 있었다. 이의 개선을 위해 가정과교육 전공자 및 가족생활교육 전공자의 공론의 장이 마련될 필요가 있다.

스마트워크 정책 프레임워크에 관한 연구 (Developing A Policy Framework for Smartwork : Task, Technology, People, Organization and Management)

  • 정보통신 기술의 발달을 기반으로 효율적인 업무 수행과 근로자들의 만족도 향상을 위해서 재택근무, 원격근무, 유연근무와 같은 다양한 근무 제도들이 고안되어 운영되어 왔다. 최근에는 이러한 제도들을 포괄하는 스마트워크의 개념이 각광받으며 도입되어 활용되고 있다. 하지만 아직 스마트워크에 대한 연구는 아직 초기 단계라서 그 정의가 연구마다 상이하여 정립되어 있지 않고, 이와 관계된 변수들에 대해 포괄적으로 살펴본 연구는 없는 것으로 보인다. 본 연구에서는 지난 15년간 국내에서 수행된 스마트워크 관련 학술 연구들을 대상으로 체계적인 문헌 분석(Systematic Literature Review)방법을 이용하여 연구 경향을 분석하였다. 그리고 연구들에서 제시되고 있는 변수들을 취합하여 이론적인 정책 프레임워크를 구축하여 제시하였다. 프레임워크의 구성요소는 업무(Task), 기술(Technology), 개인(People), 조직 구조(Organization Structure), 그리고 관리 수단(Managerial Levers)의 다섯 가지 차원으로 클러스터링이 되었으며 간간이 나타난 사회적 차원의 변수들은 별도로 분리하여 제시하였다. 이 프레임워크는 향후 스마트워크의 심층 연구의 기초로 활용할 수 있을 것이며 이와 관련하여 실증 분석 연구의 방향에 대해 제언하였다.

A Low-Energy Ultra-Wideband Internet-of-Things Radio System for Multi-Standard Smart-Home Energy Management

  • This work presents an Internet of Things (IoT) system for home energy management based on a custom-designed Impulse Radio Ultra-Wideband (IR-UWB) transceiver that targets a generic and multi-standard control system. This control system enables the interoperability of heterogeneous devices: it integrates various sensor nodes based on ZigBee, EnOcean and UWB in the same middleware by utilizing an ad-hoc layer as an interface between the hardware and software. The paper presents as a first the design of the IR-UWB transceiver for a portable sensor node integrated with the middleware layer, and also describes the receiver connected to the control system. The custom-designed low-power transmitter on the sensor node is fabricated with 130 nm CMOS technology. It generates a signal with a 1.1 ns pulse width while consuming $39{\mu}W$ at 1 Mbps. The UWB sensor node with a temperature measurement capability consumes 5.31 mW, which is lower than the power level of state-of-the-art solutions for smart-home applications. The UWB hardware and software layers necessary to interface with the control system are verified in over-the-air measurements in an actual office environment. With the implementation of the presented sensor node and its integration in the energy management system, we demonstrate achievement of the broad flexibility demanded for IoT.
