Objective: This study is to review the current state of services offered to pharmacy users, and develop a service design converging a prescription service and a smart phone application service in order to enhance patients' experience at pharmacies and home. Background: Under the new medical system; separation of prescribing and dispensing drugs, a doctor writes a prescription to their patients and patients have their prescription filled at the pharmacy. As the number of flue, allergy and atopy patients has increased, waiting lines have been longer at pharmacies. Besides, the current medical service system lacks of providing proper information on prescribed pills to patients. There are already services offered during waiting times such as offering free drinks, magazines or suggesting general drugs which you can buy without prescription, however they neither cover the current medical service's shorts nor shorten the waiting time. Method: I researched objective and perceived waiting times reduction methods, the current service status at pharmacies, and the government's policy direction in a medical service. Also, I observed a patient's journey from the hospital to pharmacy and then home. I examined the circumstance at pharmacies, patients' behaviors and their thoughts during their journey, and extracted three main goals to design a service in order to help patients have positive perception during the waiting time; (1) to reduce the perceived time by the way of visualizing time and offering readings about what patients consider necessary, (2) to educate patients what they are into and how to get through, (3) to establish trust among patients, doctors and pharmacists. Based on three goals, I designed a structure and a wireframe for a new service application of smart phones. Results: With a new service design for pharmacy users, users can track their medical record and visit the information about their current medical treatments anytime. Also the service helps patients build reliable relationships with doctors and pharmacists. Conclusion: Experience is not just an activity but series of multiple activities. The serving range of a medical service should not be determined by stakeholders but user's holistic experience. By approaching a service design with a holistic vision, it can enrich not only a temporary experience but also a whole life well being. Application: Since there are already many service applications advising patients about their illness and finding right doctors, this service design is focused on the experience from getting a prescription till feeling better. The next move is to combine those two parts medical services and design an integrated service application. As a prescription is going to be coded in numbers, we might consider to design an un-attended pharmacy which can shorten huge amount of time for filling prescriptions.

Readers' advisory service has become more important for public libraries as one of the critical service areas in terms of supporting libraries patrons' reading. This study aims to discover major types of readers' advisory services provided through public libraries' web sites. Contents of 200 public libraries' home pages in U. S. were analyzed and nine areas were identified as the major readers' advisory areas. This study also proves that American public libraries are diversly communicating with their patrons and providing user-oriented advisory services. The identified key factors of readers' advisory services will help for Korean public libraries to develope their own services.

The development of health information technology enables people to access, view and acquire personal health record. But still, there have been a number of obstacles such as the absence of the standard to realize the ideal Personal Health Record(PHR) system. In this study, we proposed the service model that serves periodic Health Record Summary which is made by a medical specialist to people who are in the busy lives. Healthcare data from EMR in a hospital including people generate themselves at home is sent to a physician to make a medical opinion, and then it is changed into Health Level 7 Continuity of Care Document(CCD) format for interoperability. After a physician writes his opinion about patient's health condition, it will send to people by email. People who receive the health record summary data by email can save them into a USB device to view own PHR and medical comments of a physician through a computer. It will help people managing their own health condition with an opinion of a medical specialist.
The goal of this study is mainly to improve the quality of life for the elderly by understanding the actual condition of the home management which includes their family relationship, family finance, and household work carried out in their domestic lives and diagnosing problems possibly restated from the condition. The result includes the following. The characteristics of rural elderly living alone: They have lived in rural area since their marriage which is over 40 years long in average, The tend to be satisfied with living apart themselves. The majority of the families are the first son in their family. In home management regard: First, in family relationship, the way the elderly in their nuclear family state communicate with their spouse is limited, and they hardly speaks together. So it is encouraged for couples to forge their own specific relationship and to plan for their odd age in their younger age. Also, they tend to be satisfied with living separated from their children, but at the same time, the closer they live in distance from their children, the more often they meet their children as well as they talk on the phone. They especially depend on their first son for offerings for ancestors and matters to occur after their death, while they get emotional support from daughters. Second, in family finance, their income varies in range from 200,000 to 3,000,000 won. In the majority f the famines, the wives are in charge of finance. The cost of living is mainly spent on flood, clothing, and housing, or the cost of offerings for ancestors if they are the head family. Third, Meanwhile, the housewives under 70 years old are positive about household work and tend to consider it pleasant for their children and their husband. Generally, the older they are, the more they dislike household labor. For example, food preparation is especially considered a major problem. Community dinning rooms, food delivery service, volunteers, and home helper and neighborhood could be help.
This study aims to investigate the factors on help-seeking behaviors among the disabled experiencing lifelong domestic violence and suggest practical plans to address the problems. According to an analysis of the data of the "2010 Domestic Violence Survey of South Korea", the occurrence rate of lifelong physical violence is 12.1% and that of severe physical violence is 6.2% among 273 adults with disabilities. The rate of help-seeking among the disabled experiencing lifelong domestic violence is 26.3%, which means two-thirds of the disabled experiencing domestic violence do so for a long time. The results of the study show that the experience of severe physical violence(p<.05), attitudes toward violence(p<.05), and awareness of domestic violence and related laws(p<.05) were found to have an impact on help-seeking behaviors among adults with disabilities experiencing domestic violence. However, an accepting attitude of disability and social connections of disabled were not found to have an impact on help-seeking behaviors. Based on these results, this study suggested raising awareness about domestic violence among the disabled, educating people with disabilities not to tolerate violence and informing them about the domestic violence-related legal system, and training service professionals (social workers, health professionals etc.) to screen the disabled for domestic violence and prevent them from becoming domestic violence victims.
Objectives: This study developed two weeks menu using temple foods, assessed preference for the menu among ordinary people, and determined the possibility of using temple foods to make out institutional food service menu. Methods: To make out the menu, 153 typical types of temple food were selected, under several conditions, thus including balanced food groups, natural foods in season, preparation time, preparation methods, and foods appropriated for institutional foodservice. Results: Developed menu contained 1905.8 kcal, had low fat content, high dietary fiber, vitamin, and mineral content, and good protein content in the nutritional respect, and fit protein requirements with low calorie content and high nutritional value. In the assessment of the food preference for 73 temple food items, most of the foods scored high (4 out of 5 points) for preference in general; therefore, the menu tended to be satisfied to the adults' preference. In particular, boiled rice (rice with chwi, rice with cirsium, rice with mushroom, rice with mushroom & vegetable and gimbap with tofu) and fried foods (fried shiitake with sweet & sour sauce and fried kelp) were highly preferred. Conclusions: The menu using temple foods can be a healthy choice for adults if it is well planned and managed. This study may be expected to provide basic data that would help developing menu to popularize temple foods. The above results could be applied at home as well as at foodservice institutes and furthermore could offer information for developing temple food products.

In this research, a habitat model for Chinemys reevesii is suggested based on the components and variables of the Habitat Suitability Index which was determined through a series of literature researches, site surveys, and behavioral analysis. After reviewing the general habitat requirements, the site surveys(9 reservoirs) from July to December 2010, and the behavioral analysis of five Chinemys reevesii, the relationship between the behavioral and habitat use pattern was evaluated. According to the site surveys and behavioral analysis, the ecological core area(FK 50%) was about 0.96ha on average, the influence area(FK 90%) 4.22ha, and the home range was about $37.75{\pm}17.26m$ on average. As for the habitat use pattern of Chinemys reevesii, it travels through canals, and is influenced by the surrounding land uses. Also when there is a lack of food, the home range increases, and during hibernation, Chinemys reevesii prefers to be in an area within 1~2m range of water shores of fine textured soil and aquatic plants. After analyzing the information, the HSI standard was set and its components were determined as food, sunbathing and cover, aquatic environment, and spatial relationships. And the variables and the ranges of the components was determined as aquatic plant cover(0~49.81%), sandy area($3{\sim}13m^2$) and water velocity(0~60cm/s) etc. Lastly, plans and sections of the habitat model is provided designed according to the information from the researches, and problems to consider during habitat restoration was suggested in order to help understand about Chinemys reevesii habitat.
This is a user experience study of factors that should be considered in designing home appliances experience service. Untact services are emerging, but the development of home appliances sector is in early stage. Based on the six factors of Stephen P. Anderson's Creating Pleasurable Interface Model, this study conducted surveys, 1:1 in-depth interviews, and participation observations to measure and analyze user experience. In this study, I compared 4060s and 2030s's user experience in that the untact services raise the digital alienation among middle-senior-aged. As a result, there were significant differences between the two, including the opposite satisfaction in terms of reliable, usable and pleasurable factors. I hope that this study will be of strategic help in designing future home appliance experience services.
We propose a mechanism for monitoring load in quality of service (QoS)-enabled wireless networks and show how it can be used for network management as well as for dynamic pricing. Mobile network traffic, especially video, has grown exponentially over the last few years and it is anticipated that this trend will continue into the future. Driving factors include the availability of new affordable, smart devices, such as smart-phones and tablets, together with the expectation of high quality user experience for video as one would obtain at home. Although new technologies such as long term evolution (LTE) are expected to help satisfy this demand, the fact is that several other mechanisms will be needed to manage overload and congestion in the network. Therefore, the efficient management of the expected huge data traffic demands is critical if operators are to maintain acceptable service quality while making a profit. In the current work, we address this issue by first investigating how the network load can be accurately monitored and then we show how this load metric can then be used to provide creative pricing plans. In addition, we describe its applications to features like traffic offloading and user satisfaction tracking.
The purpose of this study was to discuss the role of mothers in children's privacy protection on the Internet. Specifically, the study explored 1)children's privacy protection efforts on the Internet, 2)types of personal information children provided at Web sites, and 3)the effect of mothers' privacy protection efforts on their children's privacy protection levels. The Internet survey was conducted and total of 153 mothers and their children aged 12-13 were included for statistical analysis. The descriptive statistics and Ordinary Least Squares were used. The results yield that children showed relatively high levels in providing personal information on the Internet, while they have no sufficient competency at privacy protection. The effect of mothers' privacy protection efforts on children's privacy protection was partially supported. The longer hours of Internet use and frequent participation in online events increased the potential consequences of children's privacy invasion. Providing privacy standards for online service providers and marketers targeting children could help protect children's privacy. Moreover, education program targeting parents and children could contribute them reduce potential consequences of children's privacy invasion.
