This paper studied design of slip form system considering the erection of a pylon mock-up. The height of the pylon is 10 m. A rectangular hollow cross-section was considered. The outer and inner dimensions of the pylons were varied with respect to the height. The thickness of 1 sides among the 4 faces were varied. Accordingly the slip form was designed to respond to continuous changes in its dimensions and thickness. Structural analysis was conducted to examine structural safety of the slip form. Virtual construction by BIM proved its practicality. The developed design technologies were successfully applied to the erection of a 10m high pylon executed for field verification test.

A two-stage procedure is ideal for getting a successful osseointegration. But if a one-stage procedure can achieve a similar osseointegration, the one-stage procedure has several advantages. The purpose of this study was to observe the initial bone formation and bone remodeling of open type (nonsubmerged) and closed type (submerged) titanium implants. Eight ITI hollow-screws and eight Branemark fixtures were divided into two groups (submerged and nonsubmerged) and were installed on the lower jaws of four mongrel dogs. The animals were sacrificed three months later and bone sections with implants were processed for light microscopic and fluorescent microscopic observation. The results were as follows : 1 There was no significant difference in bone-to-implant contact between submerged and nonsubmerged implants. 2. Smooth surface titanium implants showed more bone-to-implant contact than that of titanium plasma coated implants histologically. 3. Under fluorescent microscopy, the active bone remodeling and new bone formation were observed in the interface zone. 4. Under fluorescent microscopy, submerged and nonsubmerged implants had no difference in bone remodeling pattern, and intramembranous bone formation was more prominent. 5. The connective tissue fibers orienting perpendicularly toward implant surface were oberved in the neck of implants.

This paper presents a technique for the preparation of vertically grown CNTs by ICPHFCVD(inductively coupled plasma hot filament chemical vapor deposition) below $580^{\circ}C$. Purification of the CNTs(carbon nanotubes) using RE(radio frequency) plasma in a one step process, based on the different etching property of the Ni-tip, amorphous carbon and carbonaceous materials is also discussed. After purifying the grown materials. CNTs shown the multi walled and hollow typed structure. The typical outer and inner diameters or CNT were 50 nm and 25 nm, respectively. The graphitic wall was composed of 82 layers and the distance between wall and wall was 0.34 nm. From the results of TEM observation, the Ni catalyst at the tip of the carbon nanotubes were effectively removed by using a RF plasma etching, continuously.

Gas springs of the television is to control the piston speed when operating under along stroke(200~300 mm, television elevation)is possible. User by this principle is capable of elevation adjustment. First carried out a flow analysis of the piston. A piston speed adjustment technique for precise pipe type cross-section was examined. The piston structure for flow rate control and elevation action is proposed. This study is the development of a gas spring of more than 50 inch television with a large television stand. Hollow piston rod for optimal control(the outer diameter 19.9 mm, the inner diameter 13.9 mm) was injected into the nitrogen gas(0.3 mm/s) in. As a result, the flow rate the pressure drop of the piston rod as the increase was increased without any change of the external force. As a result, control of the displacement via the gas spring is possible.

This study focuses on developing a controlling and analyzing software for the portable atomic emission spectrometer equipped with an electrothermal vaporizer(ETV) that can perform the in-situ trace analysis of heavy metal ions dissolved in water. The software works well for a notebook PC and it is exclusively developed for the real time analysis with a line filter and a photomultiplier light detector. The program is designed to operate under Windows 95 environment and either Korean or English can be used as a main language. The Delphi 2.0 language software is mainly used for programing. The program is designed to make a calibration curve and the system users can get the analytical data in a short time. And a final report can be generated without having difficulties. This software can be easily modified for other analytical atomic spectrometers.
To optimize the design of fuel cylinder for LNG vehicles, we introduced the design parameters of the inner and the outer tank of the vessel support structure by analyzing the structural characteristics of conventional design. We selected the inner and outer diameter of the hollow support bars and a dimension of the inner structure of the vessel among the design parameters for design optimization. In this study the temperature distribution and thermal stress of the support structure were evaluated by using the utility program as MSC/MARC. The evaluation criteria are first mode natural frequency, total transferred energy through support structure and thermal stress. The developed design satisfied the design criteria and it was made of prototype. The prototype was verified through three-dimensional vibration testing and thermal performance test.

Background: This study aimed to determine the prevalence and factors related to needle stick injuries (NSIs) and to assess related safety measures among a sample of Iranian nurses. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, a random sample of 168 registered active nurses was selected from different wards of one of the hospitals of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (SUMS). Data were collected by an anonymous questionnaire and a checklist based observational method among the 168 registered active nurses. Results: The prevalence of NSIs in the total of work experience and the last year was 76% and 54%, respectively. Hollow-bore needles were the most common devices involved in the injuries (85.5%). The majority of NSIs occurred in the morning shift (57.8%) and the most common activity leading to NSIs was recapping needles (41.4%). The rate of underreporting NSIs was 60.2% and the major reasons for not reporting the NSIs were heavy clinical schedule (46.7%) and perception of low risk of infection (37.7%). A statistically significant relationship was found between the occurrence of NSIs and sex, hours worked/week, and frequency of shifts/month. Conclusion: The study showed a high prevalence of NSIs among nurses. Supportive measures such as improving injection practices, modification of working schedule, planning training programs targeted at using personal protective equipment, and providing an adequate number of safety facilities such as puncture resistant disposal containers and engineered safe devices are essential for the effective prevention of NSI incidents among the studied nurses.
The oil separation is effectively performed from the oil containing alkaline cleaner solution by using a backflushed ultrafiltration system, where hollow fibers commercially made by polyacrylonitrile copolymer are bundled. Backflushing to reduce membrane fouling during crossflow ultrafiltration is investigated. Experimental observations allow us to understand the behavior of permeate flux according to the relative operating conditions, and determine the optimum condition of normal operation and backflushing. The maximum improvement of net permeate flux owing to backflushing was found to be about 23 % with the condition of 10 min/40 sec for the cycle of normal/backflushing operations. Note that, however, the maintenance of stable permeate flux is lost as the duration of normal operation is increased. The permeate flux depends on both the backflushing pressure and the feed flow rate. It is obvious that there is a critical velocity of feed flow, in which permeate flux is practically independent of backflushing pressure. Above this critical value, the permeate flux is proportional to an appropriate power of the backflushing pressure, $\Delta P_{back}^n$, where exponent n is enhanced with increasing feed velocity.
To determine the pervaporation separation characteristics of IPA/water mixtures, PEI/PDMS hollow fiber membrane module commercialized by Airrane Co. was subjected to both lab and pilot tests. The flux of $0.52kg/m^2h$ and IPA concentration of 68.5% at $25^{\circ}C$ were obtained whereas the $1.368kg/m^2h$ and 61.2% were measured at $55^{\circ}C$. In order to realized the durability of the module, the long-term test (at $50^{\circ}C$) of 100 days has been conducted and as a result, the flux $1.03{\sim}1.15kg/m^2h$ and IPA concentration 61.8~62.5% were maintained with the initial values.
We prepared the highly ordered nano-wires of polypyrrole, polyaniline conductive polymers and polypyrrole/ polyaniline conductive copolymers by templating the anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) porous membrane, in which pore diameter was 20 nm, 100 nm and 200 nm. Those conductive polymers were grown from pore inner surface of AAO membrane forming hollow tubes and then wire structures were formed after 3 hour polymerization. By removing AAO membrane templates using sodium hydroxide solution, the conductive polymer nano-wires were successfully obtained, of which diameter and length were close to the ones of nano-pores in AAO membrane template. Crystallinity and thermal stability of the conductive polymer nano-wires were higher than irregular ones that prepared by solution polymerization. Furthermore, the electrical resistance of conductive polymer nano-wires were reduced by about 4~60% compared with that of the irregular polymers prepared by solution polymerization.
