Line Segments Map Building Using Sonar for Mobile Robot (초음파 센서를 이용한 이동 로봇의 직선선분 지도 작성)

  • The purpose of this study is to build and to manage environment models with line segments from the sonar range data on obstacles in unknown and varied environments. The proposed method subsequently employs a two-stage data-transform process in order to extract environmental line segments from the range data on obstacles. In the first stage, the occupancy grid extracted from the range data is accumulated to a two-dimensional local histogram grid. In the second stage, a line histogram extracted from an local histogram gird is based on a Hough transform, and matching is a process of comparing each of the segments in the global line segments map against the line segments to detect similarity in overlap, orientation, and arrangement. Each of these tests is made by comparing one of the parameters in the segment representation. After the tests, new line segments are composed to the global line segments map. The proposed technique is illustrated by experiments in an indoor environment.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient vehicle image compensation algorithm based on Histogram Equalization. The proposed a vehicle image compensation algorithm was elimination to the vehicle image shake using motion compensation and motion estimation. And, algorithm was calculated the histogram of pixel values from each sub-image by dividing the image as the constant size areas in order to image enhancement. Also, it had enhancement to the image by adjusting the gradient. The proposed algorithm was evaluate the difference between of performance and time, image by applied to the IP, and were confirmed the image enhancement with removing of vehicle camera image shake. In this paper, the proposed vehicle image enhancement algorithm was demonstrated effectiveness when compared to existing vehicle image stabilization, because the elimination of shake for the vehicle images used real-time processing without using a memory. And it was obtained the reduction effect of the computation time by the calculated through block matching, and obtained the better restoration result for naturalness of the image with the lowest noise.

  • Obtained disparity map from the stereo camera by using the several stereo matching algorithms carries lots of noise because of various causes. In our approach, mode filtering and noise elimination technique using the histogram and projection-based region merging methods are adopted for improving the quality of disparity map and image segmentation. The proposed algorithms are implemented in VHDL and the real-time experimentation shows the accurately divided objects.

  • 본 논문은 신용카드 전표 이미지를 효과적으로 인식하기 위한 이미지의 분석 및 처리 방법을 제안한다. Histogram Matching 기법을 통하여 ROI를 추출함으로써 빠른 속도로 고급 전처리 방법을 적용할 수 있는 방법과 이미지 개선을 위한 필터의 조합 방법 및 ROI 내부에서 숫자열을 정확하게 추출하여 인식하는 방법을 제안하고 있다. 그리고 실제 전표 영상에 대하여 수행한 실험을 통하여 제안한 방법이 유효함을 보여준다.

  • 본 논문은 회화적 렌더링(painterly rendering)을 위한 다양한 크기를 갖는 곡선 브러시 스트로크(brush stroke)의 생성에 관한 알고리즘과 그 구현 방법을 다루고 있다. 논문에서 제시하는 알고리즘은 한 장의 영상을 입력으로 하여. 화가가 손으로 그린 듯한 느낌을 주는 결과 영상을 만들어 낸다. 결과 영상은 브러시의 크기에 따라 몇 개의 계층(layer)으로 구성되며 각 계층들은 일련의 스플라인 커브(spline curve)로 모델링된 곡선 브러시 스트로크들로 이루어진다. 또한 결과 영상의 회화적 느낌을 강조하기 위하여 입력 영상의 색상을 변환하는 과정을 포함하고 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 히스토그램 매칭(Histogram Matching)을 이용하여 고전 영화에서 화면이 깜빡거리는 현상(Flicker)을 제거하는 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 히스토그램 매칭 기반 방법은 프레임 간 물체의 움직임이 작다는 가정 하에 단순히 시공간 히스토그램 매칭을 수행하는 것이므로 움직임이 있는 부분에 존재하는 플리커는 잘 제거되지 않는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 프레임 간의 차영상을 이용하여 물체의 움직임에 따른 히스토그램 매칭의 문제점을 개선할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 인위적으로 합성된 플리커 영상과 실제 고전 영상을 실험에 사용하였으며, 기존의 알고리즘과 비교하여 향상된 결과를 보여준다.

Image Retrieval Using the Color Feature and the Wavelet-Based Feature (색상특징과 웨이블렛 기반의 특징을 이용한 영상 검색)

  • In this paper we propose an efficient content-based image retrieval method using the color and wavelet based features. The color features are extracted from color histograms of the global image and the wavelet based features are extracted from the invariant moments of the high-pass band image through the spatial-frequency analysis of the wavelet transform. The proposed algorithm, called color and wavelet features based query(CWBQ), is composed of two-step query operations for efficient image retrieval: the coarse level filtering operation and the fine level matching operation. In the first filtering operation, the color histogram feature is used to filter out the dissimilar images quickly from a large image database. The second matching operation applies the wavelet based feature to the retained set of images to retrieve all relevant images successfully. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm yields more improved retrieval accuracy with computationally efficiency than the previous methods.

  • 이 논문에서는 모래의 주성분을 분석하여 콘크리트 배합설계용의 적합성을 판별하는 시험방법을 제안한다. 주성분을 분석하는 방법은 자연모래와 부순 모래, 그리고 혼합모래에 포함된 유해물(점토, 마사토, 염화물)의 패턴을 분석하여 정지영상에서 유해물 비율을 나타내고자 한다. 영상으로 판독된 유해물 비율은 도로공사 품질시험기준에 의해 시험된 데이터와 비교하여 근접한 값을 도출해 내어 건설 자재인 모래에 섞여있는 유해물질을 검출해 내는 알고리즘을 제시한다.

  • We introduce a vision-based hand gesture recognition fer understanding musical time and patterns without extra special devices. We suggest a simple and reliable vision-based hand gesture recognition having two features First, the motion-direction code is proposed, which is a quantized code for motion directions. Second, the conducting feature point (CFP) where the point of sudden motion changes is also proposed. The proposed hand gesture recognition system extracts the human hand region by segmenting the depth information generated by stereo matching of image sequences. And then, it follows the motion of the center of the gravity(COG) of the extracted hand region and generates the gesture features such as CFP and the direction-code finally, we obtain the current timing pattern of beat and tempo of the playing music. The experimental results on the test data set show that the musical time pattern and tempo recognition rate is over 86.42% for the motion histogram matching, and 79.75% fer the CFP tracking only.
