중ㆍ고령 장애 여성의 우울과 영향 요인 (Depression and affecting factors in middle-aged women with disabilities)

  • Objectives: It is reported that the depression of women with disabilities is higher than that of men with disabilities and people with disabilities. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the depression level and influencing factors of middle-aged women with disabilities. Method: For this study, the 2020 survey on the disabled was used. The subjects were 2,546 middle-aged and disabled women over the age of 40 who responded to the survey. For data analysis, SPSS Window 26.0 program was used. Descriptive analysis, chi-square test, and multiple logistic analysis were performed to identify factors affecting depression in middle-aged women with disabilities. Results: In this study, marital status, subjective economic status, disability type, subjective health status, subjective obesity, chronic disease, exercise, stress and suicidal ideation, and self-going ability variables of middle-aged and elderly women with disabilities were found to be related to depression. Factors affecting the depression of middle-aged women with disabilities were analyzed to be marital status, smoking, stress, and suicidal ideation variables. Conclusion: Stress and suicidal ideation should be reduced to effectively reduce depression and improve depression in middle-aged and elderly women with disabilities. And the development and application of health education and programs that can promote mental health are required.

학교음용수 관리 및 이용실태 (A Study on the Management & Utilization of School Drinking Water)

  • The purpose of this study was to obtain the basic data as a improvement method through the fact-revealing concerning the drinking water management of school and utilization of student. The problems of the research are as follows: First, to investigate status of management of drinking water by area and school. Second, to investigate student's utilization of drinking water by area and school. 1,400 students was selected at 45 elementary and middle-high schools located in Kang-won province, and this study was constituted of two questionnaires(for school's questionnaire and student's questionnaire). The results was analyse through the frequency analysis, $x^2$-test on the basis of the above research problem by SPSS program. The findings of this research are as follows; 1) The Management of School Drinking Water First, the source of school drinking water was mostly piped water. Inspection of water quality has been fulfilled under four times a year, in the other hands, from the result inspection, the schools which was given inadequate determination was 22.2%. Second, reservoir cleaning and hygiene inspection failed far short of the regulations. Especially, reservoir cleaning was managed by exterior consignment industry not low-level officials. Third, school water drinking was the most supplied through the type of water purifier. Water purifier has been distributed to city-located and middle-high school highly, factually the water from water purifier was served with water cup. Fourth, the selection standard of water drinking manager showed slightly differently by school, accordingly there need to develope integrated system with the respective to its effective systematic management. Fifth, water cup was mostly treated by only water clear, which is to vindicate the problems concerning hygiene management. 2) Utilization of school student on Drinking Water First, Disbelief on drinking water of school student was very high. Especially, proportion of middle-high school student's disbelief of drinking water was higher than elementary school student, also girls higher than boys. Many of student have heard to don't drink water from around people. And there were showed meaningful differences by area and school. Second, It was showed many student recognize had to utilize water purifier, boiled water. However, they have still drunken the tap water or portable water from their home. Third, Many of student showed negative response with the respective to the management conditions of drinking water in classroom, There were showed meaningful differences by area and school. From the fact-revealing of water cup management, Students mostly answered to 'only water clear' and the answer of 'None use' or 'With personal cup' was higher. Fourth, In bad experience of Drinking Water, student mostly answered to 'occasionally' and there were showed meaningful differences by school. student's disease experience with school drinking water was few and there were showed meaningful differences by area and gender.

과학사 활용 수업이 과학 학업성취도와 태도에 미치는 효과; 중학교 '물의 순환과 날씨변화' 단원을 중심으로 (Effect of Instruction Utilizing History of Science on the Science Achievement and Attitude of Middle School Students: In the Chapter of 'Water Cycle and Weather Change)

  • 이 연구에서는 과학사를 활용한 교수-학습 자료를 개발하고 교육 현장에 적용하여 과학 학업 성취도와 과학과 관련된 태도에 미치는 효과를 중학생의 성취수준에 따라 조사하였다. 여중생 3학년 4개 학급을 대상으로 실험 집단에서 대하여 과학사 활용 수업, 통제 집단에 대하여 전통적인 수업을 실시하였다. 과학사 활용 수업에서는 필수 학습요소와 관련된 과학사를 다양한 방법으로 학생들에게 소개하여, 학습자의 흥미와 STS인식을 유도하였다. 과학사 활용 수업은 전통적인 수업에 비하여 학생들의 과학 학업 성취도와 태도 향상에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 과학사 활용수업은 과학 학업 성취도에서는 상위권에게 유의미한 효과가 나타났으며, 과학과 관련된 태도에서는 상, 중위권에서 긍정적인 효과를 보였다. 이와 관련하여 학습자의 수준을 고려한 교수-학습 자료와 수업 모형 개발은 과학사 활용 수업에 도움을 줄 수 있다.

일지역 초등학교 학부모의 학교보건사업에 대한 기대 (Expectation about school health program of primary school parents in a region)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the expectation about school health program of primary school parents as an important variable for growth of school health program fore area locked primary school parents 631 by self-administered questionnaire between June 20 and September 29, 2001 The results were as follows 1. General characteristic of the Subjects Age rates of the subjects were 45.5% on 35~39 years old and 34.7% over 40 years old. Economic status were middle level 86%, participation rates of school health education for parent were 16.8%, recognition rates on significance of school health education were 89.9%. 2. Health knowledge of parents The mean score on health knowledge of the subjects was 6.8 from a total of 10. there was a statistically significant difference with regard to health knowledge among the 7school(F=3.46, p=.016). 3. Health behavior of parents The mean score on health behaviors of the subjects was 77.3 from a total of 100. there was no statistically difference in health behavior among the school. 4. The expectation about school health program of the parents The mean score on the expectation about school health program of the subjects was 51.1 from a total of 140. there was a statistically significant difference with regard to the expe ctation about school health program among the school(F=3.75, p=.010). 5. Health behaviors and the expectation about school health program from sociod emogr aphic Backgrounds of the Subjects. In the backgrounds of the subjects, the score on health behavior was higher the mothers(t=2.89,p=.004), the upper class(F=7.38, p=.000), the higher participation level of school health education of parent(F=7.38, p=.000) and the higher recognition level on significance of school health education of parent(F=9.94, p=.000). The score on the expectation about school health program was higher the lower recognition level on significance of school, health education of parent and on the expectation about health screening & preventive services was significant difference by age. however, the difference was not significant in the others.

중고등학교 피복재료 학습효과를 높이기 위한 시험장치 개발에 관한 연구 (A study on simplified Textile testing apparatus for teaching high school students)

  • This study was to increase the experimental learning effect of textile materials in middle and high school. To this study, three kinds of simply devised apparatus were used for warmth retaining test, air permeability test and static electricity test. Two classes were chosen in a girls' high school comparing learning effect and classified the theoretical learning group and the experimental learning group. In the experimental group, a teaching plan to teach the properties of textile materials was made to use these apparatuses. The results were. 1. In the interest on the unit either the theoretical learning group or the experimental learning group were not different significantly. 2. In the items facilitation of motivation, unsatisfied desires and prevention of failure, effect of transfer and development of inquiry power, both groups were significant. 3. For the purpose of comparing the learning effect, two groups were examined for determining the level of understanding after teaching properties of textile materials. The mean value of the experimental learning group was higher than that of the theoretical learning group. The experimental learning group had more higher markers(over the point of 90) than the theoretical learning group.

Verbotonal 법을 이용한 중학생 영어 학습자의 듣기 능력 향상에 관한 연구 (On Improving the Listening Ability of Middle School Students Using Verbotonal Method)

  • The necessity for improving the English listening ability of Korean learners has been emphasized since the ultimate goal of English education converted to CLT(Communicative Language Teaching) in Korea. Verbotonal Approach as an auditory-based strategy has been proved to be effective substantially in maximizing the listening skill of spoken foreign language. The purpose of this study is to find out an efficient way of improving listening ability for Korean middle school students by employing OFH(Optimal Frequency of Hearing) using Tonality Word Sentence Test, before & after using Listen II Verbotonal training unit based on VTS(Verbotonal System). The results of the listening tests showed that the listening ability of the subjects increased by 16.7% on the words and by 5.5% on the sentences after using Listen II, compared with before using Listen II and that the improvement rate of listening ability on the level of words is much higher than that on the level of sentences. From the results, we can come to a conclusion that training the listening skill with words in mid-tonality and low-tonality based on OFH might give a great positive effect in improving listening ability for Korean learners of English.

중학생의 가정과교사 특성지각과 가정과 수업을 통한 인성적 도덕성 (Home Economics Teacher Characteristics and Affective Morality through Home Economics Instruction recognized by Middle School Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between home economics teachers' characteristics and middle school students' affective morality through Home Economics Instruction. The affective morality of middle school students after taking home economics classes were assessed and investigated as to what sorts of affective morality there were and to find out what level they were. further, what factors affected the affective morality of middle school students considering the variable factors of home economics teachers. 800 first year male and female students of 17 middle schools located in Cheonju and Cheongwon were selected through non-random or accessible sampling. The frequency, precent, mean and standard deviation, correlation, t-test, and one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression of these data were obtained by using the SPSS 10.0 for Windows Program. The result of this study were as follows: First, basic etiquette was the most important rated the highest among the affective morality, nature preservation turned out the lowest in each questionnaire. Learned in home economics, it was considered the highest goal; Second, in terms of character and affective morality of middle school students, male students ranked higher than female students and the students with a better academic performance record, and those who engaged in club activities showed better results in affective morality as did students with religious beliefs and students with better educated parents and also students from homes with better financial situations. Third, in terms of students' perception of home economics teachers with a good nature turned out the highest, teaching ability and career awareness and also reflected at the same level. Fourth, students' perception of home economics teachers' characteristics and their affective morality are honed out correlated with each other. The correlation of home economics teachers' career awareness and compassion${\cdot}$devotion${\cdot}$service morality proved to be the highest. Fifth, the affective morality of those students who do community service, club activities and those who are interested in home economics and who respect home economics teachers tended to be high.

노인의 사전연명의료의향서 작성에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting the Preparation of Advance Directives of Older People)

  • Purpose : This study intended to provide essential data for developing measures for the stable settlement and expansion of the life-sustaining treatment decision system by identifying the effects on preparing advanced directives. Methods : The effects on preparing advance directives of older people were identified based on Andersen's behavioral model, using the 2020 Korean national survey on elderly. Data were statistically analyzed with SPSS Statistics ver 25.0 and the significance level (α) was set to .05. Results : For factors that influence the preparation of advance directives, the predisposing factor was .769 times less for women than men (p=.026). By age, it was 1.410 times higher (p=.006) for people in their 70s compared to people in their 60s and 1.675 times higher (p=.003) for those in their 80s. By the level of education, it was 1.617 times higher (p=.026) for those who have elementary school education compared to those who have no education, 1.596 times higher (p=.048) for those who have a middle school education, 2.313 times higher (p<.001) for those who have a high school education, and 3.827 times higher (p<.001) for those who have a college education. By religion, it was 1.328 times higher (p=.008) for those who have faith compared to those who do not. For possible factors, it was 2.325 times higher (p=.003) for those who spend 100,000 won or more on healthcare (monthly average) compared to those who do not spend. For necessary factors, it was 1.439 times higher (p=.041) for those with the chronic disease compared to those without. Conclusion : It is deemed a measure that can increase the preparation of advance directives, considering the characteristics of each cause, for the stable settlement of the life-sustaining treatment decision system.

외모에 대한 사회문화적 가치관의 내면화가 청소년들의 신체이미지와 의복행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the Internalization of Socio-cultural Values Relating to Appearance on Adolescents' Body Images and Clothing Behaviors)

  • The proposes of this study were to exam the effects of internalization of sociocultural values toward appearance on adolescents' body image and clothing behaviors, and to analyze these effects by adolescents' sex and age variables. The research method was survey and the subjects were 447 male and female adolescents in Daejeon, Korea. The questionnaire consisted of 4 measuring instruments; internalization of sociocultural values toward appearance, body image, clothing behaviors, and demographic attributions. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, t-test, variance analysis, Duncan's multiple range test, using SPSS program. The results are as follows. First, most of adolescents showed positive attitude on sociocultural values toward appearance, and female and high school students revealed higher level of internalization than male and middle school students. Second, as a result of factor analysis, 3 factors emerged in body image(appearance interest, appearance evaluation, and weight concern) and 4 factors emerged in clothing behaviors(clothing interest & psychological dependency, clothing ostentation, clothing conformity, and clothing comfort). Third, internalization of sociocultural values toward appearance had important effects on adolescents' body image and clothing behaviors; the adolescents who had high level internalization showed more interest on their appearance and weight and higher clothing interest & psychological dependency and clothing ostentation and lower clothing comfort than other adolescents who had middle or low level internalization. Forth, internalization of sociocultural values toward appearance showed many different effects on body image and clothing behaviors by adolescents' sex and age variables.

Effects of Oral Health Behavior and Mental Health on Metabolic Syndrome in Korean Adults

  • Background: Integrated management of general, mental, and oral health is necessary to improve an individual's quality of life. This study aimed to identify the effects of mental and oral health behaviors on metabolic syndrome. Methods: A total of 4,227 Korean adults aged 20 years or older were selected as study subjects using raw data from the first year (2019) of the 8th period of the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES). A complex sample chi-square test and a complex sample logistic regression analysis were performed using the PASW Statistics ver. 18.0 program. Results: The effect on metabolic syndrome was significantly higher in male than in 1.833 times in male, 2.914 times in 30~49 years old, and 3.855 times in 50~64 years old, and 3.929 times in people over 65 years old compared to 20~29 years old, and compared to those with a college degree or higher, those with a middle school degree or lower are 2.116 times, those with lower income levels are 1.507 times higher, those with middle-lower are 1.359 times higher, those with middle-high are 1.401 times. Compared to non-smokers, smokers were 1.570 times higher than non-smokers and compared to those without speech problem and chewing difficulty, they were 1.717 times and 1.397 times higher, respectively and 1.973 times higher in those with 0~1 brushing times per day. Mental health did not affect prevalence of metabolic syndrome. Conclusion: It is necessary to improve maintain a healthy lifestyle to lower the risk of metabolic syndrome. It is necessary to establish effective dental hygiene customized education and an efficient health management system at the national level that can induce improvement of oral health behavior for the prevention and management of metabolic syndrome.
