유라시아 고속철도의 Corridor 개발에 관한 연구 (The Corridor Development of Eurasia High-Speed Railway Network)

  • The primary objective of this paper is to investigate the corridor of Eurasia High-Speed Railway Network from the governmental view of the Republic of Korea, whose High-Speed Train has been recently operated. The country is also expected to figure out the changes of Eurasia infrastructure system under the assumption that Trans-Korean Railway is connected to the Continent. As a result of research, the corridor connecting the TKR to TSR seems to be more attractive to the Republic of Korea than that of the TKR-TCR under the current economic and operational environments. However, even in a case, the railway linkage through the TSR between Europe and Asia should remain a supplementary means of the sea transportation route. Lastly, TSR may need a program of structural reforms, in order to continuously provide preferable services like the Pan-European Transport Network (PETN) which is currently initiated by the European Union, such as to improve outdated infrastructure (railway, bridges, signal systems, etc.), to simplify and to standardize the process of custom clearance and internal tariffs, and ultimately to construct a uniform management system for the corridor linking the TKR to TSR.

  • 본 논문에서는 다중 사용자를 위한 초고속 정보통신망으로 B-lSDN을 이용한 효과적인 정보화 교육 정책을 제안하였고, 정보화 교육 정책과 관련된 모든 과정들은 광대역 종합 정보통신망에서 구현한다. 초고속 정보통신망 구축을 통한 국가 경쟁력 강화와 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공함으로써 정보응용을 강화시키고, 초고속 정보 통신망을 중심으로 한 정보화 교육 정책을 주도할 전문인력 양성을 통해 국가 경쟁력을 강화시킬 것을 제안한다.

  • In this paper, we propose a new architecture of the Banyan switch for a high speed networking and the high speed parallel computer. The proposed switching network with a remodeled architecture is a newly modified Banyan network with eight input and output pots, respectively. We have analysed the maximum throughput of the revised switch. Our analyses has shown that under the uniform random traffic load, the FIFO discipline is limited to 70%. Therefore the result of the analyses shows that the results of the networking simulation with the new switch are feasible and if we adopt such as new architecture of the revised model of the Banyan switch, the hardware complexity can be reduced. The FIFO discipline has increased about 11% when we compare the switching system with the input buffer system. We have designed and verified the new switching system in VHDL.

  • In this paper, CAN-based feedback control system is proposed for the pressurization system of korean high-speed train. The control performance of the system is evaluated. According to the requirement of the pressurization system A process model considering network delay and an adaptive PID control method based on the process model are proposed here. And it is shown that the proposed adaptive PID control method considering the network delay has on adequate feature compared to some other existing methods consequently it can be considered to be applied the pressurization system of korean high-speed train.

친환경 교통수단으로서 KTX의 역할과 기대

  • Green gas emissions Trading System(ETS) came into effect in the Europe last year 2005. All transport modes have tried to reduce green gas emission and EU member countries are promoting the use of environmental friendly transport mode to avoid economic loss due to green gas emission. Besides ETS, rapidly rising of oil price and peak oil urge to invest more in the environmental friendly public transport mode and to discourage the use of private cars. The operation of KTX is estimated to bring external cost reduction up to 570 bil. won in 2004 based on European external unit costs of transport modes. This result implies that the expansion of high speed rail network and reconsideration of East-West high speed rail network which is not considered because of weak economic validity is required.

  • Aggregate bandwidth required by the internet is expected to be explosively increased. To meet this anticipated need, an ultra high speed internet backbone transport network, capable of supporting up to a Tbps traffic capacity, is required. this thesis examines, through computer simulation and modeling, the technological requirements and assesses the performance analysis and feasibility for implementing ultra-high speed NGI backbone transport network fabric based on WDM technology. The study results are that C/L band EDFA spectral gains for ultra high speed DWDM have been improved from 2.61dB/1.5386dB to 0.03dB/0.096dB by proposed architecture.

  • In this paper, neural network, which has learning capability, is used for fault type classification and fault section estimation for high speed relaying. The potential of the neural network approach is demonstrated by simulation using ATP. The instantaneous values of voltages and currents are used the inputs of neural networks. This approach determines the fault section directly. In this paper, back-propagation network(BPN) is used for fault type classification and fault section estimation and can use for high speed relaying because it determines fault section within a few msec.

  • ATM technology, which acts as a representative high-speed bandwidth technology, plays an important role in Internet environment. ATM network, supporting QoS(Quality of Service) and various traffic characters in high speed, configures many VPC(Virtual Path Connection)/VCC(Virtual Channel Connection). It is important to guarantee the QoS of each connection and it is necessary for the network manager to search element affecting the QoS of VPC/VCC and to control ATM network correctly. In the paper, the management information of VPC/VCC, that ATM network manager Using the fault notification for ATM switch, we can manage the configuration, fault and performance of ATM network. Thus, we extracted the configuration, fault and performance monitoring item from the ATM-MIB and SNMP M4 Network Element View MIB. And we designed the ATM network configuration, fault and performance management system based on the extracted item.

  • In this paper, an implementation of high-speed parallel processing system for neural network design on the multicomputer network is presented. Linear speedup expandability is increased by reducing the synchronization penalty and the communication overhead. Also, we presented the parallel processing models and their performance evaluation models for each of the parallization methods of the neural network. The results of the experiments for the character recognition of the neural network bases on the proposed system show that the proposed approach has the higher linear speedup expandability than the other systems. The proposed parallel processing models and the performance evaluation models could be used effectively for the design and the performance estimation of the neural network on the multicomputer network.
