  • A controller was designed generally using C or assembly languages on high-speed design controller. But, in this paper, DC servo controller is designed using the cord of the block-diagram of SIMTool. By the method, we can design, realized and analyzed a control system quickly in real-time. And we expect that the various plants of a robot vehicles are controled through the outside I/O board changing the structure of the block-diagram of SIMTool into AUTOTool. In addition, our developed system helps the most suitable automatic controller design and tester with hight-speed.

  • Multi-level inverters are now receiving widespread interest form the industrial drives for high power variable speed applications. Especially, for the high power variable speed applications, a diode clamped multi-level inverter has been widely used. However, it has the inherent problem that the voltage of the link capacitors fluctuates. This paper describes a voltage control scheme effectively to suppress the DC-link potential fluctuation for a diode clamped four-level inverter. The current to flow from/into the each link capacitor is analyzed and the operation limit is obtained when a conventional SVPWM is used. To overcome the operation limit, a modified carrier-based SVPWM is proposed. Various simulation and experiment results are presented to verify the proposed voltage control scheme for DC-link voltage balancing.

  • The speed control associated with dc servo motors for direct-drive applications of mobile robot is considered in this study. Robot is moved by power wheeled steering of two dc servo motors mounted to it. In order to cooperate with micro-computer and to achieve the high-performance operation of dc servo motor, speed control system is composed of a digital Phase Locked Loop and H-type drive circuit. And the motor is driven by Pulse Width Modulations. In controlling PWM, it is modified to compose of H-type drive circuit with feedback diodes and switching transistor and design of control sequence so that it may show linear characteristics. As a result, speed characteristics of motor showed linear features. In order to get data on design of PLL control system, the parameters of 80[W[ motor & robot device is measured by simple software control. The PLL speed control system is schemed and designed by leaner drive circuit and measured parameters. A complete speed control system applied to 80[W] dc servo motor showed good linearity, stability and high response. Also, it is verified that the PLL speed control system has good compatibility as a mobile robot driver.

  • In this paper, recently, it is described to the piezoelectric transformer technology develops, because it was have to favorable characteristics such as electromagnetic-noise free, compact size, higher efficiency, and superior power density, flux linkage, noiseless, etc. its resonance frequency was used to output waveform of a sine wave. A rotor speed identification method of induction motor based on the theory of flux model reference adaptive system(FMRAS). The estimator execute the rotor speed identification so that the vector control of the induction motor may be achieved. The improved auxiliary variable of the model are introduced to perform accurate rotor speed estimation. The control system is composed of the PI controller for speed control and the current controller using space voltage vector PWM techniuqe and DC-DC converter. High speed calculation and processing for vector control is carried out by digital signal one chip microprocessor. Validity of the proposed control method is verified through simulation and experimental results.

  • This report describes the high speed DC motor (8,000 rpm) that we have designed, manufactured and tested. DC motor is the best drive system in electric-mechanical energy conversion. The design concept for high speed and high energy density to DC motor is to maximize Ampere-conductor in armature and to maximize flux density in armature teeth, armature core, pole, yoke using flux path.

  • With the advent of the high-speed microprocessor and DSP, the possibility of executing a control strategy in digital domain has become a reality. By the use of the DSP and microprocessor controller, many high power drive system may be enhanced resulting in the improved robustness to EMI, the ability to communicate the operating conditions and the ease of adjusting the control parameters. But, the digital controller using DSP or microprocessor is not applied in the high frequency switching power supplies, especially full bridge DC/DC converter. So, this paper presents the method and realization of designing a digital-to-phase shift PWM circuit for full digital controlled full bridge DC/DC converter with zero voltage switching. The operating principles, simulation and experimental results will be presented.

  • This paper presents an experimental study on the optimal settings for the selected DC fault relay (50F) to improve the operating performance for the high-speed circuit breaker on DC feeding system which ensure safety within rolling stock maintenance depot. In this study, current supplied to overhead contact wire was calculated on 1 ms interval to analyze the correction values of DC fault selective relay for the operation of current supply cutout. Particularly, standards for the accurate detection of accidents between an electric railway vehicle and the electric power facilities are shown by investigating the optimal correction values for detection of fault current, and the results indicated that it takes about 213 ms for the DC fault selective relay(50F) to fully open. In the future, the correction values of DC fault selective relay suggested in this paper will be used as the reference values of protective relay for the safe operation of DC electric railroad system such as urban railway.

  • In this paper, a methodology for designing a controller based on inverse dynamics for speed control of DC motors is presented. The proposed controller consists of a prefilter, the inverse dynamic model of a system and the PI controller. The prefilter prevents high frequency effects from the inverse dynamic model. The model of the system in characterized by a nonlinear equation with coulomb friction. The PI controller regulates the error between the set-point and the system output which may be caused by modeling error, variations of parameters and disturbances. The output which may be caused by modeling error, variations of parameters and disturbances. The parameters of the model and the PI controller are adjusted offlinely by a genetic algorithm. An experimental work on a DC motor system is carried out to illustrate the performance of the proposed controller.

  • Even the case DC circuit Breaker have good quality for interruption of high current like heavy load current, short-circuit current, the verification for small current breaking capability of circuit breaker should be performed. It comes from the reason DC small current breaking failure can be lead to break out second heavy fault condition and in the long run substation shutdown. In this paper, we can find the characteristics of DC small current and international test standard discription about small current breaking and one of the proper solution to get over it.

  • Slotless brushless dc motor with 돗 characteristics of high speed and power density has been more widely used in industrial and factory machine. This paper deals with the dymanic simulation and test results of slotless type high-speed brushless DC(BLDC) motor. The mathmatical model of the BLDC motor is presented with the analytical solution of back EMF constant. And, the controller is implemented using a TMS320F2812 DSP-based system with power conversion circuit.
