그렌펠 타워 화재를 고려한 주거시설 화재안전에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fire Safety of Residential Facility Considering Grenpel Tower Fire)

  • Recently, The Building has became high rising and large scaling according to development of economy in domestic and other country, also the building has increased a variety of functions of insulation for warmth. and it has a symbol of economic growth, but it has risk factor for disasters such as fire. this hazards include not only general building but also residential building. Recently, Grenfell Fire that occurred in England has increased in combustion to the 24th floor of the 1st floor for 1 hour. it resulted in 80 deaths and 79 missing persons. In this study we suggest basic data of residential building for fire safety design related to domestic environment to analyze the problem of Grenfell Tower.

  • 우리나라의 최근의 건설공사의 형태를 보면 초고층 아파트, 대형 주상복합 건물 등 대형주거용 건축물들이 등장하고 입다. 이러한 건설공사의 대형차 추세에 따라 공사기간, 공사비용 등이 크게 증가하였다. 이에 공사기간 및 공사비용을 절약하고 프로젝트의 성공을 위한 건설관리 기법들의 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 초고층 주거건축의 마감공사 중에서 공사규모, 자재의 양중 측면에서 많은 부분을 차지하고 있는 가구공사의 관리체계를 정립하기 위하여, 적시생산(Just-In-Time)방식과 린건설(Lean Construction)의 개념을 도입하였다. 생산성 향상을 위한 위의 두 가기 원리를 이용하여 가구공사의 프로세스를 분석하고 그에 따른 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이러한 분석과 개선방안의 제시는 마감공사의 원활한 흐름을 유도할 수 있으며, 또한 공사기간 및 공사 비용을 절약함으로써 프로젝트의 성공에 기여할 수 있다.

Design Optimization Using Conflicting Building Information - A case Study Focused on the View and Structure in High-Rise Building Design

  • Within residential high-rise market there are many value determining factors. Site condition, view, program, units and structure are important parameters that are directly related to the financial aspect of the project. However, most of the studies of high-rise building design focus on the facade and the shape strategies from an esthetic point of view without considering these factors. The objective of this study is to investigate new design approach that incorporates site, program and structural information at an early stage as a generator of building form and explore a wide range of strategies to negotiate these factors in the process of design/decision making. Not being based on designer's subjective preference or style, architects still can create interesting building design through integration and negotiation of various building information. Since this form is based on real data, not just play of form, we can expect that this form has great potential to be developed into real one at the later design phase.

Haut - A 21-storey Tall Timber Residential Building

  • This paper reflects on the structural design of Haut; a 21-storey high-end residential development in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Construction started in 2019 and is in progress at the time of writing. Upon completion in 2021, Haut will be the first residential building in the Netherlands to achieve a 'BREEAM-outstanding' classification. The building will reach a height of 73 m, making it the highest timber structure in the Netherlands. It contains some 14.500 ㎡ of predominantly residential functions. It features a hybrid concrete-timber stability system and concrete-timber floor panels. This paper describes the concepts behind the structural design for Haut and will touch upon the main challenges that have arisen from the specific combination of characteristics of the project. The paper describes the design of the stability system and -floor system, the analysis of differential movements between concrete and timber structures and wind vibrations. The paper aims to show how the design team has met these specific challenges by implementing a holistic design approach and integrating market knowledge at an early stage of the design.

  • In these days, the green building movement caused by the energy crisis is increasing, passive design is getting mere and more attention as it provides many possibilities for energy conservation. Moreover, with the increasing social intention for healthy life, the demand for indoor air Quality is increasing in Korea. As result, the ventilation system which can provide the sound outdoor air constantly has been obliged in Korea. So, the hybrid system which using natural power and mechanical power and makes up for the shortage of mechanical and natural ventilation attracts people's attention in Korea. As a hybrid ventilation system, in this study, the stack effect driven hybrid ventilation system in high-rise residential building will be suggested. And in this paper, the theoretical review for hybrid ventilation system suggested in this study will be addressed. Especially, the characteristics of pressure distribution and airflow caused by stack effect in high-rise residential building and the possibility of natural ventilation as results of stack effect will be described.

  • 고층 주거건축물 공사에서 적합한 거푸집의 선정 여부는 프로젝트의 성패를 좌우하는 중요한 요인이다. 그러나 현재 국내 고층 공사는 거푸집별 특성을 고려한 적합한 거푸집 선정이 이루어지지 못하는 실정이다. 합리적이고 체계적인 거푸집 선정을 위해서는 공사비뿐 아니라 공기, 품질, 안전 등을 포함한 종합적인 고려가 요구된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 공사비, 공기, 품질, 안전측면에서 거푸집 선정에 대해 계층분석적 의사결정(AHP)의 과학적 방법론을 제시하여 거푸집 선정 프로세스를 과학적 방법으로 합리화 하고자 한다. 이를 위해 국내 고층 주거건축물에 사용된 거푸집 현황을 조사 후 이를 토대로 거푸집 대안을 선정하고 공사 전문가들을 대상으로 거푸집 선정 시 관리 우선순위 및 거푸집 적용성에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과는 고층 주거건축물 거푸집 선정 시 기존의 비과학적인 방법을 보다 과학적이며 합리적인 의사결정에 기여할 것으로 판단된다.

소음지도를 활용한 방음시설별 도로교통소음 개선효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Improvement Effects of Road Traffic Noise by The Noise Barrier Facilities Using a Noise Map Simulation)

  • Since 1970's rapid urbanization and economic growth, the population was highly increased and residential type was changed from single detached house to high density and high-rise apartment. Recently more high-rise residential building generates more traffic volumes and it makes spatial concentration. The highly traffic volumed road and high residential building was constructed nearby, it occurs noise problem. The purpose of this study is comparing the performance of three type noise barrier between noise source and receiver using a noise map simulation. Three types were composed as road side planting trees, building side planting trees and noise barrier wall. Planting trees is less effective than noise barrier wall as a noise barrier. And they are all effective under 3 stories than over 5 stories, especially noise barrier function can't work over 5 stories.

  • This project located in IFEZ(Incheon Free Economic Zone) is the first central heating and cooling type for high-rise residential building in korea. The design was performed as the joint venture between Cosentini from U.S.A and wooowon, and our design concept was to save energy. LEED application from USGBC is going on in progress for the first residential building in korea. Careful attention was paid from schematic design for not a durability of structural and architectural, but also durability and safety of M.E.P.

초고층 주상복합 건물 거주자와 입주예정자의 공유공간 관리에 대한 태도 비교 (Attitude Differences on Common Space Management between Expecting Residents and Residents in High Rise Mixed-use Residential Building)

  • The purpose of this study was testing the attitude differences on common space management between expecting residents and residents in high rise mixed-use residential buildings(MURB). Research method was social survey with questionnaire from 176 residents and 67 expecting residents by snow balling sampling. Research results were 1)residents want mostly 'convenience', but expecting residents want mostly 'amenity' from MURB environment 2)residents and expecting residents showed statistically significant attitude differences on willingly to pay, amount to pay and paying method about common spaces & facilities. 3)above two groups showed statistically significant difference on opening the common spaces & facilities to the community. 4)residents showed higher than expecting residents on impact degree of common spaces & facilities to neighborhood intimacy. 5)most of residents and expecting residents had an idea of 1-2 hour per week volunteer service at common spaces & facilities. Conclusively, survey on expecting residents's opinion might be needed to enhance the usability of common spaces and facilities in MURB. After the residents moving in, periodical evaluation about usability of each spaces & facilities needed to remodel common spaces.

Stack Effect in High-Rise Buildings: A Review

  • This technical paper presents a detailed review of the stack effect phenomenon and of the associated implications pertaining to the design and construction of high-rise buildings in regions of extreme climatic conditions. The present review is focused on both the classical 'chimney' effect as well as on the reverse stack effect, which are respectively related to cold and hot climates. For the purposed of the work here presented, the ASHRAE (2013) design conditions of Astana (Kazakhstan) and Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) were selected. A 230 m tall residential building of rectangular floor plan was numerically modelled in the context of the climatic conditions of the two abovementioned cities and a number of sensitivity analyses were performed, covering parametric changes of: temperature, façade air tightness, site wind speeds and wind directions.
