동적 스케줄링 기반 웹 크롤러의 성능분석 (Preliminary Performance Evaluation of a Web Crawler with Dynamic Scheduling Support)

  • A web crawler is used widely in a variety of Internet applications such as search engines. As the Internet continues to grow, high performance web crawlers become more essential. Crawl scheduling which manages the allocation of web pages to each process for downloading documents is one of the important issues. In this paper, we identify issues that are important and challenging in the crawl scheduling. To address the issues, we propose a dynamic owl scheduling framework and subsequently a system architecture for a web crawler subject to the framework. This paper presents the architecture of a web crawler with dynamic scheduling support. The result of our preliminary performance evaluation made to the proposed crawler architecture is also presented.

  • The current manufacturers have generated tremendous amount of digitized product data to efficiently share and exchange it with other stakeholders or various software systems for product development. The digitized product data is a valuable asset for manufacturers, and has a potential to support high level strategic decision makings needed at many stages in product development. However, the lack of studies on extraction of key performance indicators(KPIs) from product data management(PDM) databases has prohibited manufacturers to use the product data to support the decision makings. Therefore this paper examines a possibility of an architecture that supports KPIs for evaluation of product development performances, by applying multidimensional product data model and on-line analytic processing(OLAP) to operational databases of product data management. To validate the architecture, the paper provides a prototype product data management system and OLAP applications that implement the multidimensional product data model and analytic processing.

  • Significant advances in computational performance have occurred over the past two decades, achieved not only by the introduction of more powerful processors but the incorporation of parallelism in computer hardware at all levels. Simultaneous with these hardware and associated system software advances have been advances in modeling physical phenomena and the numerical algorithms to allow their usage in simulation. This paper presents a review of the advances in computer performance, discusses the modeling and simulation capabilities required to address the multi-physics and multi-scale phenomena applicable to a nuclear reactor core simulator, and present examples of relevant physics simulation codes' performances on high performance computers.

High Performance IP Fowarding Engine for ATM based Gigabit Routers

  • In this paper, we proposed high performance packet forwarding engine for asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) based gigabit routers. The forwarding engine is based on ATM switch and accommodates four 622Mbps ports. The forwarding engine has been designed to be able to process the Intemet protocol(IP) packet at 2.5Gbps using the pipelined If header processing and lookup control mechanism. For high performance packet forwarding, we used content addressable memory(CAM) based routing coprocessor operating in hardware and implemented the pipelined lookup control function into a field programmable gate array(FPGA). The pipelined packet header processing mechanism enhanced the forwarding performance of the If packets ingressed from four different 622Mbps ports. Moreover, the If lookup controller designed to have the performance up to 12.5Mpps. The proposed forwarding engine is also designed to support differentiated services(DS) and multiprotocol label switching(MPLS).

소상공인 지원제도가 경남지역 소상공인 경영성과에 미치는 영향 (A study on the Effects of Small Business Managerial Performance with Small Business Support Systems in Gyeongnam)

  • 최근 청년 세대의 취업률 하락과 직장에서의 조기퇴직 등의 영향으로 소상공인 창업 시장의 경쟁이 과열되고 있다. 또한 부동산 부양 정책 등과 맞물려 국가의 가계부채가 1,200조를 넘어선 가운데, 소상공인 창업 실패비용도 한 영역을 차지하고 있다. 위와 같은 이유로 소상공인에 대한 정부의 지원이 다양한 차원에서 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 이중 소상공인시장진흥공단이 지원하는 제도 중 자금지원제도, 교육지원제도, 컨설팅지원제도가 소상공인의 경영성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구이다. 소상공인 지원제도와 경영성과 간의 영향을 검증하기 위해 2013년 1월부터 2015년 10월 까지 위의 세 분야에 포함되는 소상공인 지원제도를 이용한 경남지역 내 소상공인 272명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 통한 소상공인 지원제도와 경영성과 간의 유의적인 관계를 조사하였다. 또한, 각 지원제도별 이용 빈도, 이용 후 만족도 등을 조사하였으며, 추가적으로 각 지원제도를 이용하는 소상공인들의 특성을 창업동기, 창업형태, 아이템, 업종 경력, 종업원 수, 매출액 및 인구통계학적 측면에서 분석하였다. 분석결과, 자금지원제도와 컨설팅지원제도는 소상공인 지원제도를 이용한 경우에 경영성과가 높게 나타났다. 그러나 교육지원제도는 해당 제도를 이용하지 않은 경우 경영성과가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이를 검증하기 위해, 교육지원제도를 이용한 대상자들을 분석, 교육지원제도와 경영성과는 운영경력과 유의성이 있음을 확인할 수 있어 성장 단계별 지원이 이루어져야 함을 시사하고 있다. 본 연구는 창업 시장에 진입한 소상공인 및 정책 입안 담당자에게 도움이 되고자 수행하였으며, 향후 본 연구를 수행하며 도출한 결과 및 한계점을 분석하여 차기 연구를 수행하는데 중요한 참고사항으로 활용하고자 한다.

  • This paper, proposes concept of personal robot middleware core also called streaming layer. Based on openness and portability, the streaming layer is proposed in order to meet requirements of different kinds of applications. The streaming layer architecture provides effective management of data flows and allows integration of different systems with ease regardless software of hardware platform. With extensibility support additional features can be build in without affect to performance. Therefore, heterogeneous network support, real-time communications, embedded boards support can be easily achieved. In order to achieve high performance together with portability into different platforms, the most functions has to be implemented in C language, while critical parts, such as scheduling, priority assignment has to be made using native functions of tested platforms.

GSS 사용과 성과 요인 : TAM, TTF, 조직구조화이론(AST) 혼합모형 (The Influence Factors on Usage and Performance of Group Support System)

  • This study investigates the effects of individual and group level factors on the use of GSS (Group Support System) and task performance from GSS use. GSS facilitates the group work, so that GSS adoption is not necessarily influenced only by individual perceptions on information systems as TAM insists. Adaptive Structuration. Theory (AST) joins with TAM in our study to explain the adoption and success from GSS use. AST contends that the success of IS is not necessarily the technical fit between tasks and technology, instead the political outcome among user socializations. We found that collected data from 303 individual IT staffs in a national bank. Our results demonstrate that traditional theories on TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) need to be refined, when considering the TTF(task-technology fit). TTF render high influences on PU(perceived usefulness). PEU(perceived ease of use) and FOA(faithfulness on appropriation). And FOA influences highly on our dependent variable. Implications and directions for future research are discussed.

Korean E-commerce Platform's Dashboard Style Decision Support System

  • Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, SMEs are forced to converge themselves into online business to cope with the rapidly changing business environment. However, due to various difficulties of becoming an online business, most SMEs choose to use services provided by the online sales platform. These platforms offer valuable support such as DSS in return for the high amount of commission fee. We analyze a novel data set from Naver Corporation's 'Smart Store' platform with the quasi-experimental method (propensity score matching technique combined with the difference in differences analysis) to analyze DSS usage and SME's performance empirically. Our results suggest that DSS usage leads to an increase in SME's sales performance in means of sales frequency and sales amount. Additionally, we have found weak support that DSS usage enables SMEs to attract customers better than those not using DSS.

담체 모양변화에 따른 유기물 처리 성능 고찰 (Performance of Organic Treatment with Shape Modify of Ceramic Support Carrier)

  • This paper discussed the shape effect of ceramic support carrier in order to facilitate biomass immobilization. The shape of ceramic support carrier was modified hollow pipe type into hollow gear type. After seeding, microorganisms were attached in crevices where protection from shear forces or surfaces where easy to contact with support carrier surface. In case of hollow gear type carrier, initial attachment rate was faster than that of hollow pipe type and obtained thick biofilm. Synthetic wastewater(COD:75~880 mg/L, organic loading rate:0.36~4.22 kgCOD/㎥.d) was treated aerobic fixed bed biofilm reactor where 100% of the volume was filled with the ceramic carrier. COD removal efficiency of reactor filled with gear type support carrier was a little high withing 70 days, and then showed similar removal efficiency. It was found that highly loaded operation with up to 4.22 kgCOD/㎥.d was possible in both reactor. Total biomass amounts of pipe type was higher than gear type, however, attached biomass of gear type was higher than that of pipe type.

  • Non-Deformable Support System (NDSS) is one of the support system analysis methods. It is likely seen as numerical analysis. Obviously, numerical modeling is the key tool for this system but not unique. Although the name of the system makes you feel that there is no deformation on the support system, it is not true. The system contains some deformation but in certain tolerance determined by the numerical analyses. The important question is what is the deformation tolerance? Zero deformation in the excavation environment is not the case, actually. However, deformation occurred after supporting is important. This deformation amount will determine the performance of the applied support. NDSS is a stronghold analysis method applied in full to make this work. While doing this, NDSS uses the properties of rock mass and material, various rock mass failure criteria, various material models, different excavation geometries, like other methods. The thing that differ NDSS method from the others is that NDSS makes analysis using the time dependent deformation properties of rock mass and engineering judgement. During the evaluation process, NDSS gives the permission of questioning the field observations, measurements and timedependent support performance. These transactions are carried out with 3-dimensional numeric modeling analysis. The goal of NDSS is to design a support system which does not allow greater deformation of the support system than that calculated by numerical modeling. In this paper, NDSS applied to the problems of Tunnel 34 of the same Project (excavated with NATM method, has a length of 2218 meters), which is driven in graphite schist, was illustrated. Results of the system analysis and insitu measurements successfully coincide with each other.
